What a lot of nonsense. Nobody is bothered by Adeleke having an Igbo mother, just as nobody is bothered by Akeredolu having an Igbo wife. The problem with GRV was not his merely having an Igbo mother, nor would his Igbo wife have been an issue, had it not been the case that the entirety of his social media history was slanted in favor of IPOB, Biafran revisionism, flinging tribalistic insults at Yorubas, and other such indicators of where his true loyalties lay. Furthermore, he was doing all of the preceding even as he was arguing against Yoruba being made an official language alongside English in Lagos state, and it is clear he is fluent in Igbo while being unable to pronounce even simple Yoruba words.
