saintopus: Upon this the cost of tomatoes would still be high in Nigeria.
I don't understand why the simple Economic Laws that works very well in other parts of the world refused to work here in Nigeria
the economic sitiation in niheria boils down to level of acceptance. Obajana to benin is less than 2hrs, BUA cement is in edo state but yet cement in zamfara is 8500 while in edo it's 10k.
In kuje Abuja, tippa garage where hausa full sell coke bottle for #200 while my community sells for #250. If you accept it, it stays like that. So don't be distracted, complain of unnecessary hike. Indomie super pack cartoon is down to 14k from 19k.
na una selves for benin. Lokoja to benin city is 4hrs. BUA cement industry is in edo state yet una dey buy cement 10k per bag. Make una try dey question una govt.
Today in kuje Abuja, I bought a bag of cement for 8700. Just recently I saw online that the price has been reduced yet was selling for 10 to 13k per bag. Please those of you whose area is selling at exorbitant price, please notify me the area so I can factor transportation cost to sell cheaper.
I need to get into a new line of business.
That man whose community is selling garri for 300naira per cup should please notify me so I can export and sell for 200naira.
Sapiosexuality: But seriously, what's the excuse for Indomie?
see that newspaper gazzeth? It's an anti govt paper. I'm not telling you to support the current govt oo. I only want you to know a saboteur when you see one.
Jasonekah98: 300??.... Some traders are more wicked than these politicians o.
Here in Uyo, it's 150, a bag of water is 300. But when i come online, i see outrageous prices, i wonder if na the same country we dey
that's how they creat inflationary trend. They hike the price online then curse Tinubu. That's how one said he bought super pack of indomie for 900. The peak price of super pack cartoon was 19k If one sells for 900naira, multiply by 40 and see the abnormal profit. 900*40= 36k No be thief that person be? Don't believe what you read online. Today indomie sells for 14k.
kamez: Are u seriously doubting it or what... Here in owerri (naze owerri precisely) a cup of garri is 300 and a paint is 3000..
If you go to to the market, then u will get a paint for 2700.. but what's the point since your transportation to and from the market is about 600 naira
rice 2700 garri 3k. Let's enjoy the stupidity while marketers enjoy the inflationary trend.
Goodnewsforlife: so u are telling me that a Congo of garri which is 10 cups is sold for 3k in your area?
Oga what is the name of that your area n state Abeg Haba?
them no dey ever post their area. They creat the hike online and watch people curse Tinubu. Garri come cost pass rice. Garri when we dey self sufficient on.
fineboynl: .. they used to tell us motor is not asset but liability. And you loose more when you want to resell. Instead buy a landed property.
But Buhari and tinubu administration has changed that logic. A Corolla that was selling between 1.2m to 1.4m is now selling for 6.4m.
People who bought at 1.5m after using it for 9 years are now selling it for 3.5m
Buhari push it to 3.4m within 8 years. while tinubu push it to 6.4m just less than a year.
Whatever thing you buy now is an asset. Tomorrow the price will increase. It's better to buy something right now than to leave that money in your account. But whatever you buy. Buy 50% foodstuffs because it's the new Gold now.
If I had bought bags of rice last year December. I would have been feeling like a king now.
the perfect place to hike your price is online. Hike the price and watch Nigerians blame Tinubu.. Those cars are 23% lesser on jiji. It's a market strategy
Yourprick: How a car of 2003 be selling for 6 million bothers me tbh
it's the new marketing strategy, create a hike price online and watch people accept it cos they hate Tinubu. Cars that are liabilities are still selling extra high. 2003 car for 6million?? Thank God for open market like jiji. The average price there is 4million.
Sleekfingers: And you think brutal force will stop mob action? It will rather escalate it.
Go and read your history books about mob actions in various countries. And the outcome. Any sensible government are always careful. The mob can sink a country is care is not taken.... Do you think the police outnumber the mob?
With the way things are going if Nigerians decide to hit the street. I mean all over the 36 states. The police and other security agencies will be helpless.
bro just justify the mob action. I'm done arguing.
Godszilla: There you go mob injustice shouldn't b acceptable but police incessant maiming n killing of unarm n innocent should b condoned. Now u equate an untrained n unarmed citizen to a trained professional that their primary duty is to protect lives you put the two on the same pedestal. Nobody is in support of mob rule but there's time for everything beside the riot that followed after George Floyd incident in US was supported by the Dem n the current president, that was mob rule that ran for months n was never condemned, why is that?why was that allowed n ok?
it wasn't delibrate. Don't change issue and transfer older frustration. Even your work line are not at 100% best position with Nigerians. Nothing justifies transfer of agression. It's police today, tomorrow it could be civilians and those mobs I tell you would always capitalize. You had better learn to speak against injustice not cos it affects you but cos it's wrong. We never can tell who the next victim would be. Even the holy hook said one should spare 9thieves than punish one innocent citizen.
Godszilla: Where is the humanity in you? A man,a woman n a child was killed but none of that matters but they need to pass a law against the mob that demanded justice that we all know the system will never give. No outrage for what the terrorist police did to the 3 persons none,so the police can do whatever they like, break the law kill the innocent but the people cant. Its a sad country we live in,sad sad
even civilians do kill people by accident. Killing another innocent set of police men who could be your brother doesn't justify or makes sense at all. I sympathize with the dead, accidents do happen, but mob injustice should be unacceptable. Now they've stolen some policemen Gun and the street would become less safe.
immortalcrown: The most inconsiderate and lawless set of road users in Nigeria are the Nigerian politicians. An ex member of the House of Assembly is still using police escort. Anyways, that's what corruption has reduced NPF to.
About a month ago somewhere between Abia State and Imo State, 8 or 9 passenges, said to be members of a family, traveling in a Sienna rammed into a trailer loaded with building rods. All of them in the Sienna died. What caused the accident? A speeding convoy with covered number plates and tinted glasses pushed the Sienna into the trailer. Guess what! No vehicle in the convoy stopped or slowed down to check what happened.
The next craziest road users in Nigeria are those that escort bullion vans. They unnecessarily intimidate other road users.
any civilian can order police escort if you have the money..
it can't be 900 anywhere in the country. The peak price for this stuffs was 18,000. Yesterday in like Abuja, it was 18,000 and today it's 14,000 after people realized market square sells each for #350. So if at 900 each is sold, are you people in your area so daft to contribute and buy cartoon easily? 900 per piece would amount to 36k profit after selling the entire 40pcs. Do the maths, not even in portharcourt would have such outrageous amount. So I put it to you your a liar.
Righteousness2: Fake news! Your news Headline says one thing! Your report story says another thing..
ISRAEL did not shoot at Gazans or kill as reported by fake news medias.
Real event is a Stampede occurred as Gazans rushed to get humanitarian items Supplied by ISRAEL.
Yesterday was the 4th day in a roll that ISRAEL supplied Humanitarian items gazans without any issues.
Lastly Casulty from the stampede is inflated Palestine and Hamas palliwood stunts as Usual. Videos are out . Many of the so called casulties videos are hamas/ palestine PALLYWOOD usual stunts to deceive the gullible.
even Israel govt admitted openly that their convoy was threatened by mob actions hence they responded, they even released a drone footage to confirm the action. You don't have to lie about everything. The American you curse those days calling it nomerica is the main supplier of weapons to Israel. Contradictory statement from symbolic figures is quiet damaging to the opinion they represent.
Ezeama400: When East rejected their Son Ojukwu and voted for Fulani man Yaradua and Yoruba man Obasanjo they were not bigots, now they choose to vote for the best candidate among the three contenders in 2023 they are now bigots right?
Are you sure you have human brain ?
only the east didn't vote yaradua, everybody did same way they voted Jonathan. But the last time out, speaks alot.
The senate has approved a request by President Bola Tinubu to sack Babatunde Irukera as the vice-chairman and chief executive officer (CEO) of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
The president had asked the upper legislative chamber in a letter to sack Irukera because he is not “efficient”.
The president needs the approval of the upper legislative chamber to have a substantive replacement for Irukera at the commission.
“In accordance with the provisions of Section 8(2) of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), Act 2018,” the letter reads. “I hereby seek the kind confirmation of the Senate in respect of the disengagement from office of Babatunde Irukera as Executive Vice Chairman, Chief Executive Officer of the FCCPC with effect from January 8.”
The development came weeks after the president appointed Adamu Abdullahi as acting chairman of the commission.
At the time, the president also sacked Alexander Okoh, director-general (DG) of the Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE).
One thing with activism is that you can change your stance at will. After all your stance are not followed up decisions. Unlike the president who must have weighed the prons and cons.
