PussyOdour:na things like this dey make sane people dey call una Obi supporters. The govt in all manners is trying to discourage importation that has killed our naira, here Peter obi is asking for subsidy on his sabmiller hero beer imported materials so he can continue to wreck damage to people's kidney. Una get fore sight at all, or you think English is intelligence? At least AI is there to assist you now |
Mynd44:cotonu currency exchanges way lower than it's value in Nigeria, if you factor inflation (high bribes) transportation and risk, trust me it ain't worth it. The gain would be way too less. |
Piro18:he can offer request to leave the club while making himself available to other clubs. |
Osimhen just needs to leave that club, he's not whole heartedly welcomed there. |
inosuke:he's reached a compromise with bandits. He might witness temporal peace. |
Funny enough Abuja which is more closer to kogi state would sell much higher than Maiduguri which is far far away.. I wonder the kind abnormal business pattern we dey display for this Abuja |
Late last year, dangote and lafarge cement posted biggest profit margin amongst it's global peers. Today Nigeria is facing hard times but yet dangote gives zero Fss about the cries of the masses, A bag of dangote cement despite our heavily crashed exchange rate in Ghana and Togo is about 11k as at today. Import duties, transportation cost and many more tax being paid yet the source countries of raw material is about paying same price. Now I understand clearly when dangote mentioned he's passionate about touching lives of people on his Twitter bio. He clearly means he's more than determined to wreck the nation. Increase in price of cement was justified by some quack economist but no corresponding increase in salary to it's staffs. Just to exploit the nation as much as possible. May God help us from evil men.

The Federal Government, together with cement manufacturers such as BUA, Dangote and Larfarge, has set the price range for a 50kg bag of cement at N7,000 to N8,000 across various locations in the country. This price adjustment was announced by Senator David Umahi following an extended discussion with key players in the cement industry held in Abuja on Monday. Despite the agreed price reduction, manufacturers emphasized that the decrease from the current market rates is contingent upon the government’s commitment to address significant challenges within the sector. The initiative, spearheaded by President Bola Tinubu, aims to tackle the surge in cement prices, which Senator Umahi described as excessive and counterproductive to the economic growth ambitions of the government. Factors responsible for the hike in cement prices In his remarks, the minister highlighted several factors contributing to the inflated costs, including smuggling, poor road conditions, elevated energy expenses, and the foreign exchange dilemma. He, however, noted the manufacturers’ willingness to reduce prices provided these issues are effectively addressed by government interventions. He stated, “Ideally, they noted that cement price and retail price to a consumer should not cost more than between N7,000 and N8,000 per 50 kg bag of cement. “Therefore, the government and the cement manufacturers, which is Dangote Plc, BUA Plc and Lafarge Plc, have agreed to peg their cement price nationwide between N7,000 and N8,000 per 50 kg bag of cement, depending on the location. “Which means that this price depends on the location. Going forward, the government advised manufacturers to set up a price monitoring mechanism to ensure compliance with the prices that are set today.” What you should know In the past few weeks, the price of a 50kg bag of cement increased to an all-time high of over N9,500 across different cities in the country. The cause of the spike has been attributed to increase in energy cost and other operational expenses. A market survey by Nairametrics last week revealed that the price of cement in many retail outlets across Lagos has increased to N9,500 and for some brands, at N10,000. Multiple reports in the media noted that the price of the commodity had surged to between N12,000 N15000 in Abuja and other cities in the country. This necessitated the meeting between the works minister and the cement producers. The Minister of works, Sen. Dave Umahi had earlier stated his intention to build roads across the country with concrete rather than the traditional asphalt. https://www.google.com/amp/s/nairametrics.com/2024/02/19/fg-and-cement-producers-agree-to-set-cement-prices-at-n7000-to-n8000/%3famp=1 |
Men Dey thief now oo. |
There's no cement scarcity anywhere in Nigeria, cement that we still export to other African countries with price still same over there yet it's a different story with Nigeria. Abeg make una get at. |
Mynd44:or the standard you set makes them not to smoke around you. Trust me you can't have 20male friends and 1 doesn't smokes. |
the top 3 countries dont have a better economy to china neither do they export compared to china, but they all have stronger currency to chineses yuan. economist should continue with the lies. |
MASTERCHIEF0847:dollar moved from 1300 to 1600 while cement moved from 5 to 10k do the maths, everything is on the increase no doubt, but cement with 90percent locally sourced materials moved by 100%. kolewerk.. |
Since 2021 we've been experiencing monthly inflation but 2021 seems to be a joke where 2024 starts from, the rate is already unbearable. How price of cement moved from 5000 in January to 12000 in February is beyond mystery, please what changed, it's not as if our debt rate is reducing. Again I still don't understand why our Naira faces rapid decline the moment we attempt to remove subsidy. Buhari removed subsidy way back in 2015 same thing happened with tinunu in 2023. In the end the subsidy regime is brought back. Before tinubu introduction, the dollar stabled for a while but today despite several actions being taken, things just seems to get worse. Economist watin dey happen.. |
I swear for this one, I go dey front. |
So many cabals are very unhappy with the subsidy removal, buhari tried and failed, tinubu has failed too, what on earth is going on. the portharcourt refinery is still a mirage, dangote own na no go area. guess we need to ngo off books.. |
FarmPlanetNG:the exchange peg buhari kept had us on steady borrowing to stabilize it while some capitalist exploited the situation. not just the naira, theres a delibrate sabotage on the economy hence the reason why they are starting these protest across the nation. I know for sure Tinubu cant be happpy neither is his subbordinates, but they are going too hard on him and in the end i pray we all are not loosers.. |
veekid:the problem with this season is that they made it look like season 1, developing new attributes and characters. Doing so makes it board, and that uncle Lou stupid character of drinking alcohol derailed the movie. But I'm sure the season 4 would be bomb regardless of action or not cos we might just see who breeze truly is.. |
…… |
Hunger in the land yet hook up price is still on the rise, we never talk true yet.. |
J3susFr3ak:Deborah was killed by delusional people, a move that was condemned by plenty of Muslims.. We've read news of northern Muslims being killed in other part of the country but it's senseless to completely discriminate s whole tribe. Nothing happened to Jerry Gana. Atlease despite being minority in Niger State, he's still recognised. That can't be said about plateau. I honestly don't want to engage you but trust me, me Umar an Abuja indegene won't suffer the consequences of your delusion. Keep forming woke. |
smileyoo:brothers do disagree and have issues, it doesn't make them permanent enemies. Especially when the issues is being triggered by much minority numbers. Niger State is peaceful and they have Christians and Muslims amongst them. Also being northerners doesn't mean you must be Muslim or Hausa. Being northerners is the geagraphical region your place of origin is located. |
smileyoo:nasarawa state has more christains than muslims yet they leave in peace in that state, kogi has more muslims than christains yet religion never seems to be an issue same with niger state. all these state is located in the supposed middlebelt as you claim. most of you are so naive to reality and dont brain storm on issues. keep being deluded, ive spent over 9years on this forum and ive never hidden my identity as an Abuja indigene, a gbagyi man for that matter. but unlike you, im not so deluded to what i see on media neither am i carried away by the likes generated. the issues in jos is a religious conflict where none of both religion is innocent. ask yourselfwhy only in jos? kaduna has longed moved on. |
in recent times, ive laughed at the stupidity of amateurs coming online to post how they are from plateau state but are not northerners. if only they took a brief dive into history to know how important they are to the northern structure. Plateau state as a whole can never be disrespected in the northern heirachy of things only if they choose to demote themselves to rookie. which is exactly what they are doing now. During the formidable era of a strong northern Nigeria the southerners so envy, Gen Yakubu gowon who was much younger to and a junior to ojukwu was installed by the coupist with the help of many northern generals, a plateau christain backed by northerners. Today some amateur plateau kids who know nothing about their history would come on twitter feeds, parading timeline with pictures of how they are not northerners like theres a certain law in place which makes only hausa/fulani muslims northerns. its quite unfortunate they choose to sell themselves as pawn, exposing the weakness of their religious diversity which could have been a symbol of strenght but has now become a symbol of tears to them. theyve been sold the dummy of how their brothers who they lived with for decades are now their enemies. let me tell you one plain truth, the only lasting solution to the crisis your facing in jos today is when you stop diversing yourselves across religious line and see your self as brothers from different religion. learn from the west, weve seen many post from people outside the west trying so hard to divide them across religion but they never succum. you hear thing like yoruba muslim, fulani muslim. mostly from outsiders who so much envy their unity. my brothers in jos, plateu state is located in the uppermost part of the map which makes it north geo_graphically. The most spoken language is hausa which makes you more of northerners. being northernern is your heritage, you can choose to improve the situation or make a mess of it and remain an example to others. |
so we have to wait till june to receive what we paid for. |
1TrippleCee:thats not a nice thing to say to a father whos now vulnerable. |
Look at wike. Objective and focused. He's identified a major problem and has worked out a solution already. He's already requested for those equipment the security agencies lack. Meanwhile ireti and those house of rep are still bitter and political about the affairs of the security. I watched her interview, rather than solution, political correctness was her priority.. The sole reason wike choose to work with former senator Philip aduda than her and her colleges in the lower chamber. |
