You can fool a lot of people most of the time but you can't fool everyone. In my community, when the previous king died, they made an announcement to people who wants to be chief and believe all the educated men were very much not interested. Bunch of illetrate were dragging the position. Today we have a chief who can't speak English.
Due to some political factors, he was able to appoint some educated men as palace staff. But to be realistic those educated ones amongst the palace staff are hardly ever around. When it comes to decision making the illetrate makes them.
Tomorrow if oil is discovered in the community the chief would quickly sell the land off without proper consultation from the elites.
My point is, if the litrates are not ready to play the politics and the masses are more concerned about who has a clean profile rather than mental capacity with exposure to lead. Just prepare for Atiku to be your next president.
