Car Talk › Things I Noticed About Nigerians And Their Cars And Driving In Nigeria.. by junketer(op): 8:07am On Jul 11, 2020 |
I visited nigeria 4 times last year. I noticed a lot of things about car owners in nigeria. 1. A lot of them do not know how to check or refill engine oil or brake fluids in their car. 2. Most cars in nigeria have engine lights always showing but it's disregarded. I asked my sister about this and she jokingly said most nigerians will not buy a car that the engine warning light is not showing. FYI, engine warning light showing means you have an engine problem. 3 . Most Nigerians Don't know their car tyre pressure. This is why tyres burst. Your car must have the same tyre size and the same pressure. All the information you need about your car tyres are written on the front passenger door panel. Just open the front passenger door and look. 4 . Most tyres are worn out. You can literally see the threads of some tyres in some cars. 5 . Nigerians always drive at night with the full blast of their car head lamps. They never dim them. 6 .Most naija drivers do not bother to check their break lights or indicator or parking lights. 7 . Most nigerian drivers don't indicate when they want to turn left or right. 8 . I don't even want to talk about wheel balancing or alignment cus naija roads no go even let you know whether your car is aligned and balanced. 9 . The issue of right of way is non existent in nigeria. Everything na can you put head first before the other car? If you manage put head first it automatically becomes the job of the other driver not to jam you 10 . There is no good driver in Nigeria. Please add yours. |

Tflex01: Lol... I won't take you serious.
Abiola won in all regions in Nigeria (Even won Tofa his opponent in Tofa's local government and his Kano state) but same Abiola lost in Igbos' South East.
Did Abiola allign with Buhari too?? the way you people think sometimes is pathetic. I was talking about tinubu. Why did you have to bring abiola into this? Or must every yoruba contestant win south east? You forgot to mention obasanjo who won south east but lost in his region. Besides abiola got a lot of vote from the south east. I repeat, tinubu would've easily won south east if not for the buhari alliance. |

Tflex01: And he has been docked for that
He's not my Lord but you guys have seen him as your biggest life threat. before his support for buhari there was no issue with tinubu and igbos. We held tinubu in high esteem until he decided to align with someone like buhari. I tell you now, if tinubu hadn't aligned with buhari and he contested for president, he would've won south east handsdown. Tinubu has lost it. |

nokatakata: You no get presidential ambition for potopoto republic? Wetin concern you if them quench Tinubu ambition. Na Tinubu kill your forefathers abi na him say make una governor dey chop money for development of your state wey make all of una dey run up and down to SW ,SS and North? Wetin be una problem with Tinubu. When the curse go wash comot for una head. yes we dey come as and very soon we go own every inch of sw. Any igbo man that decides to run for president is free to do and it's none of my business. My question to you again, wetin concern igbos for this issue wey una dey mention igbos up and down. Igbo man is not the president of nigeria nor head of efcc. Wetin concern us? The north is gradually tackling tinubu but alas, afonjas are more interested in igbos. Una dey inside water but soap dey enter una eyes. Yeye people |

You are a clown. it's like you guys think tinubu is above mistake. Remember his "where are the cows" comment? Your lord tinubu is not above mistakes. |

oludavkay: The igbos know as long as tinubu is alive and politically active, they don't have any chance in Lagos, but sincerely they want to get their share even if it is 10%. Unfortunately his successor will be brutal and domineering that they will prefer tinubu's leadership. the north is busy closing in on tinubu but your problem is igbo this igbo that. What concerns igbos with this? Keep shouting igbos while the north continues to quench any presidential ambition tinubu might be harbouring for 2023. |

clarocuzioo: This your response would have made sense but Tinubu put himself In a tight corner with his response then. I said it then when he made that statement "Is it your money?
That was him simply affirming that the billion van was carrying money. He could have said it is coupon or gifts or anything else but money, or he could have quietly shut up.
Tinubu wasn't smart in his response at all. That's what people do not understand. Tinubu, by making that statement confirmed that the bullion vans were transporting money. Now some people here are saying it could've been only 5 million in the vans but they forget that proper investigations would be carried out. The bullion van company or the bank would be investigated. They would check how much was taken to or picked up from tinubu's house. If the bullion van brought money to tinubu, they would check the withdrawals made prior to the departure of the vans to tinubu's house and vice versa. |

Am only stating the obvious.
Stating fact the way it should be!!
Nobody is against your southern unity!!
Why not unite and vote for tinubu?? Who is a southerner??
Does it mater if tinubu is a Yoruba man??
The only hope for the south is tinubu..
Helinues educate your fellow southerners arrewa you are making sense today. Did you drink something? Anyways you are right. Igbos cannot and will not vote any yoruba man whether tinubu or awolowo until the afonjas get a brain reformat. Southern unity is dead. |

Arrewa: then why are your people wailing and crying in ladipo market??
The truth is that Igbos have taken over south west... They control 70% of commercial activities in that region.
There's nothing bad in doing that...they are very hard working and have the right to own properties and land in every part of this country!
So allow them to chest beat in peace! They deserve it!
Tell your people to stop making it look as if they were forced to sell their land to the Igbos
They should stop kicking and wailing for the first you are making sense( except for the chest beating part) i will quote you. And it's not chest beating or bragging if you can back it up. |

Glass there is no glass manufacturing company in Nigeria , the only ones u have are bottle producers ....but building glass none we import
The only one was supposed to be built in rivers State ...so relax there are bottle manufacturing companies everywhere ...ABA alone has a few ...with many steel recycling plants
I know this areas very very well cos I'm investing in them very soon max 10 years
There is only one break pad manufacturer in Nigeria he is based in Lagos and igbo man
Igbos own business in Nigeria ...so many igbos manufacturers brand their business foreign brands to avoid pressecusion and tax ...most battery for cars u buy are made in nnewi
Cars ..yorubas dominate cars ? I laugh ...coscharis is the biggest car dealership in Nigeria by miles to an average yoruba, everything begins and ends in lagos. |

Shooyie: I laugh when I read comments like these. Do you have proof that he is corrupt? No! Did Sambo leave GEJ? did Atiku leave Obasanjo? And, I'm sure Obi wouldn't have left Atiku because they would have been corrupt AF!. So, just rest. i am not talking about those other VPs because you people keep selling osinbajo as the best thing after sliced bread just like you advertised buhari in 2015. Osinbajo the so called pastor can't even utter one word against the decimation of christians since buhari took over. Osinbajo the so called lawyer can't even utter one word against the flouting of court orders by buhari. Osinbajo the so called mr integrity hasn't said anything against fulani herdsmen. I can go on and on about how osinbajo will be worse than buhari. The man has no voice of his own. |

Politics › Re: Yorubas Must Reject Tinubu For Osinbajo For 2023 Election by junketer(m): 9:51am On Jul 02, 2020 |
FrLukas: First, Tinubu hasn't come out to say he's going to contest for presidency.
Second, it would be a political suicide for him if he contests because he cannot win and he will be demystified.
Third, only an idiot will prefer a Tinubu to an Osinbajo.
The difference is as clear as 7Up.(for indomie children, 7Up is a kind of drink we had back then in the 80s and 90s )
Fourth, Osinbajo has proven to be the best politician that can ever be thrown up by the corrupt Nigerian system.
He is worthy to be our President.
He is hardworking, agile, eloquent, very eloquent, very brilliant and has shown uncommon loyalty to his principal. He's not overly ambitious like other politicians.
But most important of all, he has the interest of the masses at heart.
That is the kind of President Nigeria NEEDS at this moment.
Of all the politicians in the North, South, East, West and Middle belt regions, none is as good as Osinbajo and none has as much integrity as he does.
Hate him or love him, Osinbajo is Nigeria's best so far. osinbajo is a dummy. And he is very corrupt. And for remaining a part of this buhari's dictatorship he has zero integrity. |

Grayoso: Vote whoever you want. For your info, you Igbos are the greedy ones. Uncouth, ungrateful and deviously wicked to boot.
You have never shown any interest in the Nigerian project and have been especially restive, and disruptive against the Nigerian State since GEJ lost in 2015 with IPOB, open disdain and hate for our democratically elected President, ruling Party and other ethnic groups.
You lot have shown no political maturity, pragmatism or any will to build bridges and alliances. Now you are trying to blackmail all others to hand the Presidency to you. Won't happen so get ready to do your worst. Empty blackmailer. look at who is talking about building bridges. Bury your head in shame. Igbos have learnt their lessons when it comes to the yorubas moslems. Your fear of the north supercedes your loyalty to others. Igbos are not asking for presidency but for referendum but you people have shown igbos that we shouldn't bother building bridges or forming alliance with you. |
Politics › Re: Yorubas Must Reject Tinubu For Osinbajo For 2023 Election by junketer(m): 9:08am On Jul 02, 2020 |
Grayoso: They do. At least their kingmakers and owners of Nigeria cadre. Most Nigerians are politically naive but this group of very powerful yet often neglected individuals determine who will be President even from Party level.
We all love to talk about technocrats to then ignore the powers behind the throne. Those people prefer Tinubu for sure. Being pragmatic, I do too. forget that thing. The north will always prefer a northerner. Let's even assume that apc picks tinubu or another yoruba. All these northerners you see in apc now will immediately decamp to pdp where they'll pick a northerner to contest and an igbo vp candidate. Tinubu will lose woefully. That's fact. For your so called kingmakers, they are already giving you hints that they'll prefer orji uzo kalu to tinubu. |
