This is a scam. Please do not fall for this. I posted this phone and pictures to sell on a Xiaomi group and this fraudster copied my pictures from there. Patronise and buy at your own risk. https://m./2605632532990184/permalink/3433166053570157/?mibextid=Nif5oz 4 Likes |

The power supply has slightly improved though, especially in Elekahia/Rumuomasi area where I live.At least,we now get 10 hours electricity every day as compared to the abysmal 2-3 hours we were used to before. Let's hope they improve on the current state though. |

Here is my top 10 applications: 1. TTPod - The best music player on mobile. The lyrics display function is the catch of the app . . . fantasic app. 2. Opera Mini-It reduces my data usage considerably. 3. FBreader-I have used CoolReader and Aldiko but this ebook reader is more functional and easy to use.In addition to handling my 600 epub novels effectively,it also opens .mobi ebooks well too. 4. Camera360 - A great photo-effects app. 5. Xplore - I am shocked Xplore hasn't been mentioned so far! 6. Cadre Bible - Loads of free bible versions available for download on the app. 7. QQ Player-The best android freeware for watching avi and divx videos. 8. Avast antivirus 9. Akimbo Player - For listening to my audiobooks library. 10. EA Scrabble - My favourite Android game. |

The best ebook reader for your java phone is Albite Reader. It handles epub ebooks excellently, has day/night view and you can change the font size. However,it only reads epub books, which IMO,are easier to fetch on the Internet than mobi ebooks. |

@4llerbuntu Your tips about using Opera Mini and UCWeb/Bolt was priceless.I now use less internet data while surfing the Internet.I got my phone rooted and DroidWall installed but DroidWall has not been working in firewalling some of my apps so far.I will still try though to figure my way around it. |

@poster I use Huawei U8180 too, but I am lucky I still retained my Nokia E71 which I use to download Android apps and games which I then transferred to my Gaga phone. I do most of my browsing on my other phone and only use my U8180 to check Facebook and Twitter updates. Some tips for you to reduce data usage in your phone are: *Go to Notifications and disable Data Service when you are not connected to the Internet. This will save your battery and also your alloted data plan. *Disable Background Data in Accounts & Sync. This will prevent your Gmail,Facebook & Twitter accounts from connecting to the Internet without your knowledge. *Make sure you close applications that you don't need running in the background in Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Running. |
Phones / Re: Welcome To Club Gaga! by just2nice(m): 6:06am On Nov 15, 2011 |
The Huawei U8180 is really an excellent and pocket-friendly Android device.I have been using it for about 3 weeks, and I must confess that I have been exacting maximum sastifaction from it. I have installed a couple of fun apps and it has 'spiced' up my use of the phone.I am an avid book reader; so,the first apps I downloaded,of course, were Ebook readers. So far, the best of the lot are Aldiko,FBreader and CoolReader.I use FBreader most of the time though,as it supports both .mobi and .epub ebooks format. I have also downloaded and installed Xplore(file manager), TTPod & MixZing(music players), QQplayer(avi &divx player), Camera 360(camera app),CadreBible(bible) and other great apps. My blips with the phone is the small 2.8 inch screen, lack of flash light, inability to tether to PC via bluetooth and it's network-locked status, but this drawbacks are understandable, given the price of the phone. All in all, great phone. |

The only semblance of Nigerian music charts I know of is the MTN Y'hello Nigeria Top 10 radio show on Rhythm and Cool FM.They highlight the top 10 Nigeria music chart-busters and the top 5 African music. Will listen and try to list the top 10 Naija hits as I hear them on radio. |

Just got the phone.Totally dope for such incredibly low price. The only drawbacks are the battery life and the small screen size. All the apps and games I have downloaded have installed without hitches on it. Next on my mind:rooting the phone and unlocking it. |

Jack du Brul_-_Havoc in Kindle format On a stormy night in 1937, the German zeppelin Hindenburg cuts through the clouds over rural New Jersey. On board, a madman has traveled across the Atlantic bearing a safe holding a secret so terrible that it may change the course of history. His efforts to protect his cargo have led him to commit murder, but the most dangerous part of the journey still remains -- the arrival at Lakehurst Naval Air Station. In a moment of clear thinking, the murderer throws the safe overboard, thinking that he will return for it later. The conflagration at landing destroys that plan and the safe recedes into history. Seven decades later, mining engineer Philip Mercer is in the Central African Republic searching for a precious metal used in the manufacture of cell phones. In the face of a mounting civil war, Mercer tries to help local villagers escape from rebel forces. Along the way, he meets up with Cali Stone, an attractive field researcher for the CDC. This particular village suffers from one of the highest rates of cancer in the world. All that saves them from execution at the hands of the rebel troops is the intervention of an unknown military force. Once back in the states, Mercer’s detective work leads him to the long-lost safe and the cryptic letter inside: Dear Albert, I believe I have succeeded. The element you seek does exist in nature. This letter launches Mercer on the most spectacular adventure of his career, one that will leave a nation in flames and a city in ruin, and reveal the truth behind three thousand years of legend. Jeffery Deaver_-_Carte Blanche (2011) (007 James Bond series) in mobi format Carte Blanche (2011) "The face of war is changing. The other side doesn't play by the rules much anymore. There's thinking, in some circles, that we need to play by a different set of rules too, " James Bond, in his early thirties and already a veteran of the Afghan War, has been recruited to a new organization. Conceived in the post-9/11 world, it operates independent of MI5, MI6 and the Ministry of Defense, its very existence deniable. Its aim: To protect the Realm, by any means necessary. A Night Action alert calls James Bond away from dinner with a beautiful woman. Headquarters has decrypted an electronic whisper about an attack scheduled for later in the week: Casualties estimated in the thousands, British interests adversely affected. And Agent 007 has been given carte blanche. Download below: http://www.4shared.com/file/4G77gXVi/Carte_Blanche_-_Jeffery_Deaver.html |

Frederick Forsyth_-_The Cobra(2011) in prc Not lacking in ambition is Forsyth's thriller which takes the "war on drugs" to the farthest possible conclusion. The president becomes so angry with the influx of cocaine into the US and Europe that he looks for the only man who can stop it. A retired CIA agent code named Cobra is given carte blanche in terms of the military and intelligence apparatus of the United States and is ordered to crush the cocaine cartels. *I have read the ebook, and I must confess that I really enjoyed Forsynth's brilliant expose on the cocaine trade. The research is in-depth, and the action relentless.I recommend it for all book lovers.* Download below: http://www.4shared.com/file/t-jQGCl_/The_Cobra_-_Forsyth__Frederick.html |

Stephen King_-_Full Dark,No Stars(2010) in Kindle format Full Dark, No Stars is a collection of 4 novellas that envelope the dark side in us all. The collection gets you started with, 1922 - This first person POV story is a confession of a farmer detailing his deeds which lead to the worst year of his life during the year 1922 in Nebraska. It is written with Mr. King's normal grab your attention right away and then bog the story down for a while throwing in those little blurbs to keep the plot moving. The majority of the story is predictable leading right up to an easily drawn conclusion. However, Mr. King does a nice job of ending the story on anything but relative to typical and in doing so saved it from being a low rating story. I would rate this one in the 3.5 stars range. Big Driver - Another tale of rape and revenge. Even though this one was really predictable yet I still found it an engaging read, especially at the end. Mr. King does a great job of giving just enough details to get his vision across and at the same time leaves out enough so the reader can fill in the rest. I do feel he could have added more to the characters in this one. I wish he would have added more to the antagonist, but it seems he just let the deeds that were done to be enough to invoke a hatred for the antagonist and it just wasn't enough. The protagonist had her high and low points, but it was actually one of the side characters that seemed to have more to them in just their short scenes. The pacing and flow of the story was well done and so I will give this one a 4 out of 5 stars. Fair Extension - How remorseless can a person be? Read this story and find out. To me, this one portrayed hatred in its purest form. This one was a really quick read as it is the shortest story in the collection. This story doesn't beat around the bush. It gets right to it and doesn't let go. One of the things I would have liked was to know more about the "salesman" character. This one felt more like a Richard Bachman story to me, but not as good as the earlier works. So I think a 3 out of 5 would be fair for this one. A Good Marriage - What would you do if you found out the person you were married to for 27 years had a very dark side? I would have to say this was the best story in the collection. The characters had good depth to them, were well fleshed out, and easy to connect with. It had a good pace to it and flowed nicely. One of the points I enjoyed was the Edgar Allan Poe simile he used. This was definitely a good psychological thriller. 5 Stars out of 5 Download below: http://www.4shared.com/file/GZlhRu2b/Full_Dark_No_Stars_-_Stephen_K.html |

David Baldacci_-_The Sixth Man (2010) in prc Edgar Roy-an alleged serial killer held in a secure, fortress-like Federal Supermax facility-is awaiting trial. He faces almost certain conviction. Sean King and Michelle Maxwell are called in by Roy's attorney, Sean's old friend and mentor Ted Bergin, to help work the case. But their investigation is derailed before it begins-en route to their first meeting with Bergin, Sean and Michelle find him murdered. It is now up to them to ask the questions no one seems to want answered: Is Roy a killer? Who murdered Bergin? With help from some surprising allies, they continue to pursue the case. But the more they dig into Roy's past, the more they encounter obstacles, half-truths, dead-ends, false friends, and escalating threats from every direction. Their persistence puts them on a collision course with the highest levels of the government and the darkest corners of power.
