In the US, it is a right for citizens to be armed and that makes policing a bit difficult because you may not know when a gun will be turned on you.

The police are very corrupt in kenya - white collar corrupt - sometimes they engage in crime - but generally we have managed to keep crime and terrorism down using some part of managed EJK.

Those cults and sects in Nigeria and Ghana - they will not last few months in Kenya.

We had one called Mungiki - the police extrajudicially killed 500 of them -

Unfortunately this is part of the history which we inherited from the British - who used extrajudicial killings - to deal with Kenya Armed Struggle for Independence.This has become a model to deal with insurgencies and guerilla warfare.

Kenya police - that was British old police doing all killings - just continued - but generally they keep the public support by always almost killing the bad guys.

You cannot play by the book with terrorist's (ask US about Quantamo bay) or violent criminals.

US dealt with their citizens according to the books.
Guantanamo held foreigners arrested in other countries .

The Ghanaian economy is more formalised than what you have in kenya.

You cant talk of formal retailing when 99.9% of trading in your country, done in filthy markets and rubbish filled places like Eastleigh and co, has been modernized.

Taxes paid by 30 million Ghanaians is more than taxes paid by 53 million Kenyans.

All revenues from Minerals do not go into the tax basket of Ghana.
