Wuoche: First your total road network is 78,000km according to your government and only 16% of it is paved also according to your government. So tell us, are there two Ghana? The energy you are using to make noise here at least you could have used to advise your government on how to increase road pavement beyond 12,000
First my total road network is 109,515km
Secondly 80,000KM of it is classified
Thirdly, 40,000km of total road network is tarred (that is almost 40%)
rvp2018: You paved them right after Africa Traveller took pictures this week - I mean all around 100m dollars Pokouse interchange - are unpaved roads. It laughable what you west africans do.
I wonder who African traveller videos you watch
All around pokuasi interchange, the roads are paved.
Wuoche: Stop lying to yourself, Ghana only have 12,000km of paved roads compared to Kenya's which is 21,300km. Your ministry of roads said that out of the total 78,000km of road network, only 16% of it is paved. Where do you take your gold and oil money if you can't even build roads in your country.
first of all, Ghana have 40,000 km of paved roads as at the end of 2020.
Secondly, That makes 40% of Ghana 109,000km of roads to be paved.
i hope you can say same for your backward country that is struggling to even pave up to 5% of your total road
rvp2018: Pave inner roads of Central CBD Of ACCRA before your choleric daily diarhoea - carelessly throwing figures - like anybody would take them seriously
They are already paved
I hope you can say same for your backward nairobi
more tantrums from kenya slums
How many people have died so far from cholera in Kenya?
Wuoche: Thanks for posting KENHA report of 2011. We know all these things and you can't cheat us here. As Ghana is still struggling with 12,000km in 2021, Kenya was at 21,600 in 2019
while Kenya is grappling with just 3,700km of paved roads, Ghana paved roads network has climbed up to 40,000km. By the end of the year, our paved roads network will cross 60,000km.
The Ashanti Region alone is paving 9,700km of roads and the remaining regions will do an additional 10,000 plus.
rvp2018: 200M USD - Sewage improvement Project in Nairobi - Ghana will get here next century if they survive cholera. The dirty country with Sanitation minister
Good to know that your dirty country with constant cholera cases is finally doing something about it broken and inaccessible Sewage network to finally treatment faecal Matter like Accra does.
I hope they clean the Nairobi river and dam to kick cholera out like Ghana did.
kikuyu1: Btw, DON'T you get tired of writing these lies to YOURSELF? It's BEYOND redundant. Not even your special needs groupies believe you despite their frenzied barking!
Now you call fact lies?
Everyone who lives in Accra right now knows what I'm saying is true.
So stop making useless noise and go and work on your backward country
Tayser: Quick glance at the data tells me Cholera is more of a burden in Ghana than in Kenya. Typically kills hundreds in Ghana in one swipe while in Kenya the deaths are usually in the double digits (less than 20 in the worst outbreaks). In 2011 Kenya had only 70 cases, in the same year you had 10,600 cases. 8 out 10 regions of Ghana are Cholera inflicted while in Kenya its only 20 out of 47 counties (below half). All bark and no bite. I warned you about lying to multitudes. You end up looking like an unashamed homeless idiot. Vamonos boy!

Again, another 10 years ago report
The facts remains, Ghana has eliminated cholera while Kenyans get heavily infested every year
Clearly if you listened to the wisdom being dished out to you and stop using honey suckers in place of proper sewer systems you would cut cholera epidemics by half.
I guess this is another 10 years old report.
Ghana eliminated cholera in 2016 and hasn't reported any case since
rvp2018: Incorrigible. We are talking at wavelength here Mr cesspol aka soakpit aka biodigester. The day you have modern sewage system - that doesn't mean keeping your shiet, transporting it to the ocean or treatment plant, Come and talk. Very shocking and horrifying.
You're really UNDER-DEVELOPED
for someone who didn't even know what faecal matter treatment and waste water treatment is.
Living in a slum like Nairobi where cholera kills yearly because all the faecal matter ends up in it drinking water, I wouldn't expect you to be smart.
The day Nairobi invest in modern faecal matter treatment facilities like Accra and treat 100% of it faecal matter so they don't end up in drinking water to cause cholera, let me know.
Drinking human faeces is highly backward and stupid
rvp2018: Most - Ghana homes - biodigester - . Why would they invest in expensive system when they can let sewage flow to Altantic.
Give us the stats. I bet kenya have more biodigester than Ghana But these for rural areas where sewer system is not practical.
there is no where in Ghana where sewage flows into the ocean.
Unfortunately you can't say same for Nairobi because 84% of sewage in Nairobi is untreated. They end up in Nairobi river and are dumped untreated into open fields
rvp2018: Invest in modern Sewage...it probably will cost you maybe 400M dollars for Accra - but it well worth. It will also employ many jobless youth.
Very simple buried culvert system - from every Ghanian house - connecting to main sewer lines - flowing to the main treatment plant.
we have and that is why 100% of sewage in Accra is treat and that goes for all the regions in Ghana.
Let me know when kenya can invest in sewage systems to treat at least Nairobi faecal matter. For now, 84% of faecal matter in that shitty slum of yours end up untreated and into the environment.
rvp2018: More diarrhea from the cesspool of Accra. Show me a modern city that would entrust you to keep your shiet, treat it with biodigester and name it.
All that CRAP is just one big rainfall away from overflowing sewage all over.
NOW ADD TO YOUR FLOODING problem
You're just breeding Cholera and all sort of diseases...and destroying enviroment.
When you have statistic of PROPER MODERN SEWAGE SYSTEM - let us know.
As of know - the DIRTIEST CITY in the world is beckoning. You were just 4 places to be the top
There are several cities in the world that uses onsite bio digesters
This is not Kenya where rainfall wash sewage everywhere in Nairobi, hence the constant cholera outbreak. Bio digester are made water oxygen proof to enable anaerobic decomposition. If oxygen cannot enter it, how will water ?
Let me know when kenya eliminate cholera.
As we know, your capital is overflowing with sewage and when it rains, the issue becomes worse.
rvp2018: Don't a super stupid? Soakpits/ Cesspits/ BioDigesters ARE CRAP you should be running away from. One rainfall - and the sewage overflows.
PLEASE I HOPE THIS STOP GAP MEASURE.
GET PROPER SEWAGE SYSTEM.
We cannot discuss seriously soak pits or biodigester or cesspits -or trucks transporting them on roads - to treatment plant.
THAT IS UBER STUPID
see this fool from a country whose capital dump 84% of feacal waste untreated and openly into 5he environment.
Bio digester is one the most eco friendly way to treat human excreta. There are so many kinds.
There are those that convert faecal matter into clean water There are those that convert faecal matter into ash There are those that convert faecal matter into organic manure for gardening. There are those that convert faecal matter into gas
And so many others
While 84 percent of Nairobi rely on Cesspit and dump their cesspit waste into the open, untreated.
rvp2018: You're talking - transporting fecal matter with trucks from your overfilled soakpits/cesspool - to be treated
That is SUPER STUPID.
Nairobi you flush your toilet - the grey water - flows in pipes 30kms to Ruai - and it treated - and it re-dericted to water.
Nairobi river - contamination is from slums - the 50% who don't have such system - and relie on Ghana like soak pits/cesspits/shared toilets.
I am talking about an environmentally friendly way of treating feacal matter so that they dont end up untreated and dumped into the environment like it is done in Kenya.
Hence the constant death from cholera in your country.
It is highly stupid to be drinking e.coli filled water in kenya.
84% of Nairobians from 21 counties without sewage treatment systems dump their faecal sludge openly into the environment in Nairobi Those who are fortunate enough get to dump it in the nairobi river
rvp2018: So you talking about treating overfilled soakpits/cesspool? No wonder I see trucks
We are talking modern sewage - that means all grey waste water with fecal stuff - are transported through culvertized network - to the treatment plant.
You flush your toilet or kitchen - and the waste is transported - treated - and then redericted back to the river.
Of course
That is why no untreated human waste ends up into the environment, like you will find in Nairobi.
In Ghana, most homes have bio digesters. So their feacal waste is treated locally.
Those who use Septic Tanks, produce only between 18,000 cubic meters to 22,000 cubic meters of faecal sludge daily which is sent to the various sewage treatment facilities.
Those who are connected to a central sewage system in Accra produce only 8,000 to 10,000 cubic meters of sludge which is treated.
