Our Agric sectors are far developed than you will have in Kenya.

Those are the reasons why we even export more Agric products than your country.

Arid regions are one of the most perfect places for planting.
Just get irrigation.

You should visit Tanzania - it just maize and maize - and maize - and it's planted without any hybrid seed or fertilizers. It's like their cattle.

That is like Nigeria and Ghana. Stone age agricluture.

Kenya we make our 10% arable land count. Maize is mainly grown in 3 or 4 counties....not the entire country like Tanzania...and we do it more seriously than them.

I have dealt with Maize. No kenya milller will buy Uganda or Tanzania maize for human consumption. They are of such poor quality. They have to be blended...so basically you stop somewhere sunny...and blend with Kenyan maize. They don't plant hybrid maize.

For most of these countries - the only hybrid seed they know of is Kenya Seeds, Simlaw and other kenyan hybrid propagators - and they don't generally afford it or don't plant it - they are like Ghana or Nigeria - old school agriculture.

Now kenya dairy sector is VERY VERY Serious. There is a lot of maize needed for animal feeds. Nowadays people plant yellow maize for that.

You really need to see our dairy sector. Africa BEST by far.

Your millers who are all Indian are highly dependent on Tanzanian maize to feed you because you guys are so lazy.
Rely almost solely on imported maize else they will have 80% of kenya pop starve.

Secondly your country import a lot of animal feed because it uses most of the maize it import to feed humans at the brink of starvation.
Learn to grow maize and your annual starvation will be a thing of the past.
