vaxx: If only the Akan will not see the ewe as less Ghanaian. Look at this voters registration, thing are getting out of hand. Let's wait for the outcome of supreme court.
But higher mind integrate and lesser one looks for division
The Supreme Court have asked the EC to Justify the legal basis on which it is doing what it is doing. The Akans do not see the Ewe's as less Ghanaian But because we dont really have a border with Togo, The NPP turn to find reasonable justification with many when they raise argument about Togolese being on the country register.
Anyway, i do not support the EC idea of creating a new voters role.
But if they dont create a new voters role too, we may have a constitutional crisis on our hand because the Supreme Court have already ruled that, the National Health Insurance card is not a legal identity document.
The current EC leadership are very stupid, They've had 3 good years to create a new register but decided to wait till election year.
But that doesnt mean Society itself must settle into it tribal comfort zones.
vaxx: Nigeria political system is run based on tribal difference Hence you seeing tribal difference in every discussion partaning to development. The federal character is tribalistic
Kuruptnigga: In business I will choose Lagos over Abuja. But in development, good roads, clean environment, 24/7 electricity etc. I will choose Abuja over Lagos bro.
I Liked Abuja when i went there last year You get that same feel when you are in Banana Island , Lekki areas.
popizaino: Anybody that has been or lived Ghana will easily get irritated reading your comments .you must be feeling you representing Ghana well with your lies but in actual sense you’re doing a poor job.
Does that include the road to Mombasa that have so many potholes?
In Ghana, All our major roads are paved and you won't even bump into a pothole. You can drive from southern Ghana to the North without bumping into a pothole.
You want to compare yourself to Nigeria too in roads?
How are you going to compare 10,000km of paved roads to theirs?
rvp2018: All kenya major roads are paved and WELL MAINTAINED. What remain unpaved are rural access roads. And those are regularly maintained.
Nigeria on theory has 60,000kms paved roads - but everyone knows most of it has completely BROKEN DOWN.
Roads are not something you pave and disappear.
You need budge to regularly - like annually maintain them - if not monthly.
rvp2018: Why would we build roads in places that has very few people. Turkana are scattered in area bigger than Ghana I think - and they are less than 1 million. The Somalis the same.
Eastern Corridor road is a new road under construction. It started in 2015 or 2016.
it is a 800 kilometer road. 200Km of it has been perfectly done.
The rest are still under construction It is a new transportation hub being open that Includes railway line from Tema to Burkina Faso, A marine transport way from Tema to Atebubu
rvp2018: I have seen paved roads in Ghana and Nigeria...I saw in Gold Video - that would be worse than gravel roads. Kenya roads including those are murram - are regularly maintained.
regularly travelling roads to dont make them paved kiddo.
they are dirt roads and is bad for transportation.
popizaino: Just because you make up stories does not mean others do. I am without a phone and not ashamed to say that here.FYI, Robbers entertained me on getting here on Tuesday from Nigeria and they made away with my phone, cash and other valuable items from my cousins house.
I dont make up stories I just speak facts as they are.
You are not the only one whos phone has been stolen

Shma: while Kenya is holding 10,000km you're doing 1000. The reason your ministry exposed you, you only have 17,000 km of paved road, 77,000km of classified road. While Kenya is having 180,000km of classified roads, and approximately 24km of paved road well maintained.
this one is trying to be foolish to cover the shame
I said we are constructing more than 1000km of roads this year.
I bet you your country is not doing even close to 200km.
Danielnino00: Seriously, missing that CHAN tournament really exposed Kenya ..They brag about being a powerhouse in sports but don't have the funds and infrastructure to host major sport tournaments..lol.. Stupid country .
68816419: I swear Kenya is a disaster, Imagine Kenya only has 8,000 km of paved roads since independence and Nyayo and Kasarani (Kenya's largest stadiums) were built and Opened in 1983 and 1987 respectively with zero sporting facilities built since than ,Nigeria, south Africa and Ghana has built countless sporting facilities across all regions. while that stupid RVP kept defending that failed nation ?
They keep making noise for a country that is so under developed.
rvp2018: Kenya has 20k well maintained paved road. Some of the roads that Nigeria call paved - are completely broken down - including right in Lagos. A road has been maintained - including repaving and repatching.
we are not talking about well maintain roads
We are talking about paved/tarred roads and you have just 10,000km of it. You country bare constructs 200km of road a year.
vankelvin: Yes you are right But they could do better, A little beautification will do. Look at how messy the Motor-way looks like? And the open drainage from the Interchange towards Dawenya?
The motorway does not look messy especially for a 60 years road. The motorway way still has it reservations intact
THE motorway is already due for Complete overhaul though it is still a really good road.
The Dawenya road you are talking about is under construction, it is part of the phase 2 of the Tema motorway interchange project..
They will construct it from the interchange all the way to Dawenya. Somewhere last year, They were trying to extend it to Akosombo.
vankelvin: Well they've tried but they could have done better. Look at Tema of all places? No landscaping, no walk way at some areas, open drainage, at least some little beautification will do. If you compare TDC to AMA you will think they've done well but compare them to Cape-Town and there you will see the difference.
Tema was planned with underground drainages and all of them are still function. 90% of the roads there have walkways except for the highways and expressways where they dont want people to walk along.
68816419: Kenya is indeed a Zoo, The Kenyan road network has 177,800 km of road, of which 63,757 are classified. Only 9,273 km are paved and just 70% of the classified roads are in good condition. This represents an increase of less than 20,000 km of classified roads and 8,000 km of paved roads since independence, while a tiny state in Nigeria ,Gombe state is constructing construction of 100 kilomtres of roads in each of the 11 LGAs of the state. totaling 1100KM in a year
Road projects executed and the ones being executed by the administration include the construction of 16km Malala - Zaune - Dukkuyel road in Dukku LGA, 15km Mararraba – Jabba – Sambo Daji – Pandi Kola – Gwarar – Garin Wada road in Akko LGA, 21km Degri - Bembelem - Reme - Dong - Talasse road in Balanga LGA, upgrading of 19km Gona - Garko - Gujuba - Kalshingi road with spur to Maidugu in Akko LGA and upgrading of 26km Billiri - Gujuba - Kamu - Awak road in Billiri LGA, It is indeed forward looking that road projects inherited from the immediate past administration have also been continued and financed.
Such road projects are those of the 11.25KM network in Jekadafari North in Gombe LGA, construction of 11.50km Malam Inna - Kurba - Titi road with spur to Kundulum in Gombe, Y/Deba, Akko and Kwami LGA, 23.53km Gombe Township roads phase VI in Gombe LGA including Dawaki, Madaki, Bolari-East etc,30km Ladongor - Kwiba - Amtawalam - Pobawure - Sabon Layi - Ayaba road in Billiri LGA,15km Bambam - Tula – Yiri in Kaltungo LGA and the 9.50km Boltongo - Nono road with spur to Garin Malami in Y/Deba. Others are 11.50km road taking off from Gombe/Potiskum Federal Highway - Gerkwami - Daniya road in Kwami LGA, 27km Dukku - Kalam - Dokoro – road in Dukku LGA, 36km Dukku - Dokoro - Jamari road in Dukku, 9km Bajoga Township road in Funakaye LGA, 9.10km Bambam - Nwona - Kutare - Yola road in Balanga LGA, 1.59km road network in Rice/Vegetable oil Industrial Cluster at Nasarawo in Gombe LGA, 13km Kumo - Kalshingi road in Akko LGA, rehabilitation of 42km Ngaji Bauchi - Baure - Zambuk - Lubo - Daban Fulani road in Kwami and Y/Deba, 9.9km dualization of the section of Bauchi Gombe Federal Highway Phase II (Tumfure International Conference Centre - New City Gate in Gombe and Akko LGAs to ease means of transportation and economic activities. To complement the essence of the huge investment on roads, the government also procured 50 brand new 18-seater buses for the Gombe State Transport Service ( Gombe Line). pictures of some of the roads
For example, TDC has managed Tema really well. Unlike AMA, TDC has been really successful with their city planning.
vankelvin: Hahaha Well individual difference. Ghana got it wrong the moment we overthrown our first President Kwame Nkrumah. He laid down the foundation which would have made Ghana self-sufficient and a developed country but hey! some people didn't like him. Kwame Nkrumah left and everything about City planning got messed up. He tried building a National Capital which is TEMA but after he left they dumped all his dreams and here we are with Container Kiosks and open drainage all over the place...
popizaino: ThankGod you admitted to this but trust just30 to deny everything even with pictorial evidence. Presently in Volta regional capital Ho and the situation isn’t different at all.
Container shops only exist in suburbs and even that, they are not as much as stores.
so i wont call it a problem especially when they sit on lands that are not theirs
Instead of Asphalting roads, you bitumen it. Backward
Kenya only tarred 200km of roads last year. bringing the total tarred roads to 10,123km
It is an embarrassment that you guys have 200,000km of roads and only 5% is tarred. It is a terrible disaster
Shma: that was kenhas report that only deals with kenya highways, Five years ago, kenya was having 14,000km of tarred road. By 2018, I guess we were at 18k of not 19. We have done more km since then.
Kenya tarmacked 2,600 kilometres of roads in the two years to July 2015 taking its total length of bitumen surface roads to 13,900 kilometres.
Data in the Economic Survey 2016 shows that the bulk of these new roads are in cities and towns which have been recording a higher population growth compared to rural areas.
The length of the new roads translates to an average 1,300km per year but falls short of the Jubilee government’s target of over 3,000km annually announced two years ago.
“During the period under review, there was an increase of road under bitumen from 11,300 kilometres in 2013 to 13,900 thousand kilometres,” the Economic Survey 2016 says.
“The total kilometres of road under earth/gravel increased from 52,400 kilometres in 2013 to 65,600 kilometres in 2015 due to the adoption of the low volume sealed roads technology for road improvement and upgrading.”
