rvp2018: Refer back to today's lesson on demand and effective demand. That would have saved your country 1B dollars plus ANNUALLY
Effective demand :the level of demand that represents a real intention to purchase by people with the means to pay. Noise as usually Kenya power cant even afford to raise money to lift Kenyans out of darkness Unless the Kenyan government goes to borrow from WORLD BANK again and sink it into another unproductive company |

rvp2018: We export 6B dollars. We don't have blackout problems. We have huge bills problems. It easy to check these things. Kenya has frequent blackouts like 5 times daily Kenya export was 5.3 billion last year yes we know Kenya has huge bills problems Kenyans dont like to pay their bills |

We dont put trees over our power supply lines It is dangerous to do so because we us live wire rvp2018: It probably because there is no tree on sight in your neighborhood. Otherwise if you're in Kenya - tree branches will suddenly fall on electric lines - and have trees all over - except in slums likes yours. |

I know Kenya has no ability to be a manufacturing hub because it has decided to depend 100% on import hence why Kenya import bill is approaching 20 billion dollars. Here in Ghana, we have managed to reduce our import bill from 16 billion dollars to 11 billion dollars as at last year. That is 5 billion dollars of manufacturing capacity being supplied local manufacturing companies. Now our import substitution has worked We have switched to being an export led economy, Hence over the last 3 years All manufacturing companies have undergone huge expansions with the help of Ghana EXIM BANK cheap capital This is why we need a huge power generation capacity in 5 years time, we will increase our generation capacity to 10,000MW rvp2018: If you had some functioning brain cells - you'd have known outside minning - you really don't need a lot of power. You acted like a kid taken to a caddy store - and your order thermal generators - without any idea how to pay for it.
Households DO NOT need a lot of power to fire a fridge, a tv and a lights.
Why would you order 5,000MW - when you only consume 2,500MW.
WHY WHY WHY
Why would you sign for a billion dollar gas when you don't need it all
Why why
And WHY ON EARTH would you agree to pay the Britsh 79 Billion dollars for your GOLDEN stool.
Ghanaians are just a bunch of EDIOTs. |

rvp2018: We have more power than we need. Infact Jinja power imports should be terminated forever..if only we can get out. Not only from overfilled dams - we already had like 200-300MW excess power. Ghana has 2000MW - if they turned on all the big generators they ordered. Bunch of nearthdeathals. how do you claim excess power when 50% of your people dont have power ? Kenyans still live like it is 1800 Kenya needs 20 billion to overcome is power generation, distributions and co challenges today if it was possible Kenya does not even have 2 billion for Tullow |

rvp2018: Gov has invested 8-10B dollars. Private sector a lot too. For example Turkana Wind Power - 300MW invested 0.7B dollars. You see we would have gone to Ghana way - we actually did it - during 1999 we had national black-out - and out of panic - we invited the world biggest generators - diesel generators that get shipped - by Aggrekos - and we had power in a month.
This what Ghana did exactly in 2013/2014. You have power blackout. You invite the Aggrekos and sign - pay or take
The total investment is a PEN maybe and it's ink if it' s a fancy fountain pen.
But the TEARS will come later. Later when HUGE THERMAL generators are shipped your way.
We learnt from 1999 -and we have been trying to get out. It wont happen for some thermals plants until 2030!!!!!!!!!!!
And that is what those thermal generators hawks do - ENSARE you and trap you. Instead of 1M Nigerian Generators - they bring one NATIONAL generator - and you'll be paying for it.
Nigerians on avergae are paying 40 cents dollar for generator (fuel is cheap) and Ghana is not doing any better.
Only difference the generator is your power company - and not in your backyard makign terrible noise.
So you're slightly better than NIGERIA. Just slightly.
And those thermal generators make you sign the deal IN US DOLLARS. noise as usual Kenya power could only generate 270 Million Kshs from Kenyans
Why is is that kenyans dont like to pay their bills? |

rvp2018: Ghana last I checked is a NATURAL RESOURCE dependant country. They should be with Botswana, South Africa and Namibia - if the skin color of Arabs of Morocco, Libya,Algeria and Dubais is too much for you brain.
They are literally mining MONEY (gold) from their dirt.
And here they are struggling.
Coz they are the small -nigeria. Last i checked, Kenya was still a tourism-dependent economy because they can produce nothing |

rvp2018: Turkana Wind Power - 300MW - largest such in Africa. What we didnt do like Ghana is sign IPPS with diesel generators, That we did in 1999. And since then we have tried to get out. It won't happen for some until 2030.
It was very stupid of you to sign Take or Pay with DIESEL or Thermal GENERATORS in 2014. Basically Turkana power that generate 300MW is the largest private investment in Kenya history This is how useless your country is. Your country need all the power generation is can get in order to move the remain 25 million Kenyans that dont have electricity access out of darkness and wick lamps smoke inhalation. Asogli alone produces 580MW |

rvp2018: Nigeria has more trouble with 9B dollars charge for a gas deal that never took off. You signed with N-gas future contract - take or pay - and this year - it's expected you'll pay 0.85B dollars - more than 4 times our SGR bill - for the GAS you won't get. And Buhari is not in joking mode.
The way Nigeria is broke - don't dare Buhari - he will send Hausa army to rape your women and take his money. You are making your usual noise again Ghana and N-Gas supply contract States that N-Gas shall supply Ghana 120SCF of gas daily Failure to supply to that amount, N-Gas will be surcharged 2 million dollars. The price of gas can be renegotiated anytime base on market conditions. Keep making figures up Ghana GAS market
Summary Table Million Cubic Ft (MMcf) Global Rank Gas Reserves 1,800,000 Gas Production 45,203 68th in the world Gas Consumption 44,990 86th in the world Yearly Surplus + 214 Gas Imports 19,736 Gas Exports 0 Net Imports 19,736 |

mtisTheQubit: i think you should request for a refund from your social engineering diploma class..it ain't working here dude .we are talking about ghana here not Kenya..why are you importing from Naija while you claimed trillions of reserve Our Trillions is Reserves is only producing 450 Standard Cubic feet of Gas daily Once we exhaust the oil in those wells, we can focus on ramping up gas extracting. Go and learn how oil is drilled so that maybe when kenya can afford to dig those oil in Turkana, you may get employment. Next time dont throw tantrums |
