Many Nigerians run to Ghana because they cannot get admission in Nigerian universities (due to fierce competition)!
Many of us like myself have to stay at home for some years and study harder because we could not reach the cut-off mark for admission.
Nigerian govt universities are for the intelligent!

There are a lot of Lebanese, Indian and Chinese people in Nigeria. That doesn't mean Nigeria is better than those countries. Plenty of Southerners in Nigeria live in the far more impoverished North. You can go to Somalia or Sudan and seen loads of Nigerians. Plenty of white people left their European home lands to build new nations in remote stretches of Africa, Oceania, North America and Latin America. What does migration patterns have to do with anything? Having by far Africa's largest population also skews perception. I can't tell you why any Nigerian moves to Ghana, but I can tell you there's no life the average emigrant can build in Accra which they couldn't have built in Lagos.

And yes, we've seen huge economic upheaval as oil priced crashed in the international market. Prevailing statistics still don't support the notion that either Kenya or Ghana are better off.
