When it comes to education in Ghana, it's the best in west Africa and better than Kenya education system according to the education index, but it's still pretty terrible compared to worldwide standards so it's not saying much.

The student to teacher relationship is terrible because children are bought up not to be questioning or critiquing the aged. So, you have like a hierarchy of students always seeing teachers as knowing more than they do which can affect quality of education a child recieve. Also, lack of learning materials due to constant changing curriculum and ones approved are often than not pretty terrible due to favoritism. Also, little to no incorporation of technology in education.

The fact most Ghanaians dont even know Kwame Nkrumah borrowed the ancient name Ghana from the then powerful and rich Ghana Empire that predated the Mali Empire as he wanted new Ghana to be as powerful and famous as the old one is truly embarrassing and shows how bad education is in Ghana.

These days it's all about songs, songs, songs. But I don't really think the kids these days have less prospect. In fact with new vistas of opportunities opening up here and there with the digital shrinking of the world, I think the prospects now are greater.
