@Mpele: I read with utmost interest your contribution and came to a stunning but Sad discovery that Neo-Colonialism and inferiority complex has been well accepted by people like you in South Africa. I just hope that you are not black, because you may be raining curses on yourself for trying to brag about being bigger than the same people that contributed immensly to ensure the extermination of black oppression in South Africa. I donated 10 kobo as a kid, like millions of Nigerian Kids back in the 1980's, for that course, even though I was too young to understand why. I still remember it till date because I would have used that money to buy snacks at that time, but it was a tender sacrifice. How dare you come to this forum to taunt and compare yourself with Nigerians? How much does South Africans have? How much?? Don't worry, the Nigerian government will get it right, We will. No white man will help us to do that, like they did for you. I ask you to stop raining curses on yourself, because you would have been nothing without Nigerians and Africans. |
@The-AMAKA: I meant that Crossriverians give more room for development to take place. Duke and Co exhibited the political will at a time when curruption was eating deep into Nigeria (Obasanjo's regime) I am happily married to a Chinese, who I love so much. I will settle with her in Calabar (It's not a crime) What did I say about myself that you didn't understand? "Owerri USED to be the cleanest city, FYI." It is no more the cleanest. Ohakim is not even helping issues with his unscrupulous clean and Green initiative. (The EFCC are after him now for curruption) No offence, I am just saying the whole truth. ![]() |
Calabar is beautiful. I grew up in Cross river state (Ikom). I studied in Calabar for 8 years @ Unical (one of the most beautiful and enjoyable schools in 9ija). Believe me, everything about that state is confirmed. When I went from there to serve in Ogun state, It was like going from Singapore to Lagos. Lagos is a slum compared to Cross river state. Even the slums in Cross river are neat compared to what is obtainable in other states. When i was there, I thought the slums were very bad untill I went to spend sometime @ Mushin with my Aunt. The Markets are tiled with interlocking stones and are organised. Every other part like Ikom, Obubra, Obudu, Odukpani etc are country sides and small towns, yet they are very cool places compared to those in other states. I spent my childhood in Ikom. I was heart broken when Donald Duke was not allowed to be the president. That guy is a geniuse. Though he stole some money sha, but he worked. When he was in power, you'd pass an unkept street one day and notice that it has be taken care of the next week. I am still wondering how Owerri won the cleanest city in Nigeria (I am from Imo state). Sometimes I feel Cross riverians are not Nigerians. I'l definitely settle there when I return to 9ija with my Chinese queen. ![]() For those that are talking about poverty in Cross river, it will interest you to know that that state has more small and medium scale job opportunities than other states. |
