Bro, l was in your shoe before, until l realised l can't continue like this. These are what l did which l hope may work for you if applied. firstly, l termed it to be wasters and emptiers and l prayed on it. secondly, l opened two new bank accounts without collecting ATM card or withdrawal booklet. immediately l received salary alerts; l transferred to those two accounts. And l will delete the alerts once l received so that l won't be tempted to know what l have in those accounts at the moment. thirdly, whatever spending at all will be on balance left in my salary account. After two years of doing this, l was able to build a two bedrooms twins flat without borrowing. l hope my story can help someone. |

The Supreme Court on Friday explained why it dismissed the appeal of James Faleke of the All Progressive Congress (APC) on the Kogi governorship elections because the reliefs sought were “aberration, not known to law”. The court dismissed the suit on September 20 saying it was “frivolous”. It also ruled against a different appeal filed by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its candidate, Idris Wada. Seven judges unanimously dismissed the three appeals, which respectively contesting the return of Gov. Yahaya Bello of the APC. Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun who read the lead judgment on in Mr. Faleke’s case on Friday, said the court dismissed the appeal because his claims were not supported by any existing laws. “This is a simple law. Since the election had not been completed and the final results issued by the electoral body, Faleke, as a running mate, cannot claim victory in the election,” she said. She held that Mr. Faleke was not qualified to benefit the votes the APC scored in the contest before the death of the party’s governorship candidate, Audu Abubakar, because he did not meet the condition precedent. Mrs. Kekere-Ekun said Mr. Faleke neither obtained nomination form nor substantively participated in the APC governorship primaries. She said that INEC had already declared the election inconclusive before Mr. Audu’s sudden death. Giving reasons in support of Mr. Bello’s qualification, the judge held that the Electoral Act gives room for substitutions of candidates on account of either death or withdrawal. She said the law gives powers to political parties to take full charge of the process of selection of candidates for elections, adding that the court lacked the jurisdiction to stop them. Mrs. Kekere-Ekun, therefore, held that the substitution of the late governorship candidate of the party with Mr. Bello was apt. “Nothing can be more apt as the governor had fully participated in the governorship primary election of the APC and came second after Abubakar,” she said. “Unlike Faleke who did not meet that condition, but was simply selected to be a deputy governor. “By virtue of the provisions of Section 221 of the 1999 Constitution it is the political parties that actually contest elections. “The governor having become candidate of APC, and legally sponsored by the same party can lay claim to the votes scored by the party in the Nov. 21, 2015 poll,’’ she held. Mr. Faleke, the running mate to Mr. Abubakar had filed the appeal against Mr. Bello’s victory in the Dec.5, 2015 supplementary election. He urged the court to return him as duly elected on the grounds that the Abubakar/Faleke ticket had already scored the majority votes of 240, 873 in the Nov.21, 2015 governorship election. He contended that INEC acted in bad faith by declaring the election inconclusive because he (Faleke) should have been declared as governor after the death of Mr. Abubakar. Similarly, Justice Sylvester Ngwuta, in his lead judgment, gave reasons why the apex court dismissed the appeals by PDP and Wada. “The testimonies relied on by the appellants relate to qualification of the first respondent (Bello) and his alleged failure to personally nominate a running mate. “They have also challenged his non-participation in the Nov. 21, 2015 election and the combination of the votes and votes scored by late Abubakar. “We join the tribunal and the appeal court to hold that the testimonies have no probable value,’’ he held. Mr. Ngwuta said the concurrent decision of the two courts below was affirmed because the appellants had not advanced any reason for the apex court to hold otherwise. “It is my view that the appellants did not prove a ground for this court to interfere with the concurrent findings of the trial tribunal and the court of appeal,” Mr. Ngwuta held. NAN reports that the appeals filed by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and the Labour Party (LP) on the elections suffered similar fate. (NAN)

A woman in India could make the record books as one of the oldest ever to give birth. Daljinder Kaur, who's believed to be at least 70 years old, gave birth to a son named Arman (meaning "wish" in Hindi) on April 19. The baby was the first for Kaur and her 79-year-old husband, Mohinder Singh Gill, after nearly five decades of marriage. "I feel blessed to be able to hold my own baby. I had lost hope of becoming a mother ever," said Kaur, who underwent two years of IVF treatment and had two failed attempts earlier. "Everyone asked me to adopt a baby, but I never wanted to. I had faith in Almighty, and knew I will bear my child one day," The Times of India quoted Kaur. The baby, Arman, is healthy, according to reports. Daljinder Kaur says she is 70 years old. But the clinic in the Indian state of Haryana, National Fertility and Test Tube Baby Centre, which helped Kaur become pregnant, put her age at 72. Many people in India, particularly those now over 50, don't know their exact age because they don't have birth certificates.

Are you a Christian and have you been hooked to watching porn? Many Christian today are struggling with how to be set, free from watching porn. This includes both the married and the unmarried. In fact, statistics show that about 70% of born again Christians in the U.S watch or have watched porn. One thing that you need to know is that what you are doing is a sin: sin against God and against your body. Many people who pose nude or are in porn sites do so under influence of demons and drugs. The moment you watch this you open a door in your life for demons of immorality to enter you, believe it or not. This is why it is not easy to quit watching. You can’t quit it with your self will. You need God to deliver you. You are also risking destruction of your marriage by the demons you have allowed to be tied with (soul tied), Let, the scripture talk: 1 John 2:16 For everything in the world – the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he does – comes not from the father but from the world 2 Tim 2:22 Flee the evil desires of the youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart Matt 5:27-28 You have heard that it was said, ‘ do not commit adultery’. But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has committed adultery with her in his heart 1 Cor 6:16,18-20 Do you not know that he who unites himself with a prostitute is one with her in body? Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body. Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honour God with your body. Today the heart of Jesus is Heavy with seeing so many people falling into the devils trap of Porn, masturbation etc. Galatians 5:19-21 says that those who practise such will NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD. There is however hope. God can deliver you, but you must repent and Flee from such hell traps. Here are prayer points you can consider praying: Father I have sinned against you and my body by watching porn, I repent Lord, forgive me and wash away my sins. I take power and authority in Jesus name (Luke 10:19) and rise against every satanic marriage with demons of lust and immorality in Jesus name I break every satanic marriage in my life in Jesus name. I bind every spirit of lust in controlling my body, soul and mind. I cast them away in Jesus name Let your fire burn away any lust in my eyes o Lord, and in my sexual members in Jesus name Father I ask you to close every doorway of lust and immorality in my life. Help me to pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace Deliver me o Lord by your power and set me free. I pray in Jesus name Do as you have prayed: FLEE. FLEE. FLEE. Please feel free to give your comment and share your experience. NB. For married couples, your spouse is not the reason for watching porn, so don’t console yourself with such. The more you feed your eyes with this the more your soul darkens, and the more you will crave for it. Porn will lead you to other immoral acts like masturbation and fornication, even with people who may not be as beautiful/handsome than your mate. |
