TheGoodJoe: Players Left Out By Guardiola Could Still Contribute To The Team
Players like Samir Nasri, Wilfried Bony And Eliaquim Mangala are yet to play a game for Manchester City this season. After Manchester City played four games and won the four of them, these men seem out of favor with the Guardiola.
Yaya Toure and Joe Hart played in the Second leg of the Champions League playoff. This was after Manchester City won the first leg 5-0. This was a dead rubber game and these two may not play regularly for Manchester City
Even though it looks as if there is no chance for these players keeping regular places with the team, Guardiola's recent statement suggest that these men still have roles to play in the title challenges the club is embarking on.
Manchester Evening News reported that Guardiola said that even though he does not have experience of the demands of coaching an English Premier League side, he knows that Manchester City will play a lot of games. He also understands how physical the English Premier League is and knows he needs a large squad to cope with the challenges of the season.
Gabriel Jesus, Ilkay Gundogan, Claudio Bravo are yet to take part in any game with the team but Guardiola's statement means that he might need the services of the players who seem out of favor to help the club cope with the games this season.
Those players who will not secure deals out of the Etihad could still play for Manchester City.

When your action incites violence, its a crime. It's in the constitution. If not for the arrest, lives would have been lost.
Don't get me wrong, there is freedom of speech and expression, but when you exercise such freedom that can lead to loss of lives, the law will fight you.
Most northerners are so intolerable, its a disgrace and my only regret is the 1914 action by Lord Lurgard. They should have been amalgamated with Lake Chad instead.

Politics › Emir Of Kano To Buhari: Your Government May End Up Like Jonathan’s by justicejay(op): 11:07am On Aug 25, 2016 |
The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi, has
warned President Muhammadu Buhari to
avoid repeating the mistakes made by former
President Goodluck Jonathan so his
administration does not end up in infamy like
that of his predecessor.
The former governor of the Central Bank of
Nigeria also warned the government against
continuing to blame previous administrations
for the nation’s woes, saying what was
important was for the administration to
concentrate on putting the nation back on the
path of progress.
The emir gave the warning on Wednesday
while delivering a paper entitled, “Nigeria In
Search Of New Growth model” at the 15th
meeting of the Joint Planning Board and
National Council on Development Planning.
Mr. Buhari succeeded Mr. Jonathan on May 29,
2015.
“If this government continues to behave the
way the last government behaved, we will end
up where Jonathan ended,” the former CBN
governor said. “You may not like it but that is
the truth. You have to listen.
“You don’t have to be an economist to know
that any system that allows you to sit in your
garden, and with a telephone call, make one
billion naira without investing a kobo, that
system is wrong. It is unsustainable.
“And just so we are not always blaming the
previous administration. We have also made
mistakes in this administration. We have
started retracing our steps or we have to
retrace those steps.
“And if we fall into the same holes that we fell
into the last time where the government is
always right… If a policy is wrong, it is wrong.
Nothing will make it right and it has to be
changed.”
Mr. Sanusi said there were many voodoo
economists parading around the
administration and advising the government.
“And many of them are not economists,” the
Emir said. “They are demagogues.”
“Look, I’m not going to change. I am never
going to be political. I will never tell people
what they like to hear. There is nothing we are
facing today that we did not know will happen.
That is the truth. We made mistakes, many of
them deliberate. We ignored every single
warning.
“If you take a brand new car, and give a driver
who doesn’t have a license to drive it and you
have an accident, you really can’t say you are
surprised unless you are some kind of idiot.”
The Emir said he would like to know those
advising the present government so he could
talk to the advisers themselves.
Mr. Sanusi blamed past federal administrations
for failing to diversify the nation’s economy
during the oil boom, saying Mr. Buhari should
not make the same mistakes.
He specifically accused Mr. Jonathan of
refusing advice given to him on how to turn the
economy around.
Warnings of impending economic doom were
also ignored by the former president, Mr.
Sanusi said.
The traditional ruler expressed concern that
the Buhari administration was toeing the same
path like the Jonathan government.
“In a situation where we cannot process
tomato. Tomato paste is being imported from
China. It is sad,” he said.
He said there was urgent need for the country
to return to the drawing board on the
deepening and expansion of the economy.
“If we do not expand the economy through
wise investment, we can end up in classical
Malthusian situation,” he said.
Mr. Sanusi restated his support for the removal
of subsidy on petroleum products, saying only
a few people were reaping from the system to
achieve their selfish ends. |

Pets › Lawyers Back Man Who Named Dog Buhari, Say It Is No Criminal Offence by justicejay(op): 12:35pm On Aug 24, 2016 |
justicejay: A group of legal practitioners have waded into the trending story of the trader who named his dog Buhari. The lawyers are of the opinion that Joe Fortemose Chinakwe did not commit any criminal offence. The incoming Second National Vice President of the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, Mr. Monday Ubani, on Tuesday, speaking with newsmen in Lagos said, “In the eye of the law, it is not criminal for somebody to name his or her dog after another person.” “I understand that a particular dog was named after a neighbour and both of them were not in good terms in a Hausa community somewhere in the South-West. “It may be offensive by examining the circumstances under which the incident happened. So expediency would have prevailed on him not to name his dog after somebody he was quarrelling with. “Anything you are doing must be with wisdom. The Bible says wisdom profited for direction. If such a thing would provoke unnecessary argument, you should avoid it,” Ubani advised. A Lagos-based lawyer, Mr. Tunji Muyedeen, in his opinion said, “As far as I am concerned, there is no way such offence could be sustained in law. “The motive of an accused is never and can never be established by the charge: it must be established by evidence. Anybody can name his pet after anybody’s name. He can even call the pet his name. “However, spurious charge or charges may be preferred against such person. We will see what evidence the prosecution has to prosecute the accused person. “All of us will be living witnesses to the trial of the man,” the lawyer stated. It would be recalled that the trader had explained that he had been an ardent supporter of the President and saw nothing wrong with his action. Upon his arrest, he had insisted: “I did not commit any offence. I named my beloved pet dog Buhari, who is my hero. My admiration for Buhari started far back when he was a military Head of State.” The 30-year-old trader was on Monday remanded at the Ibara Prison following his arraignment at the Ota Magistrate Court 2, Ogun State. He was charged to court by the police with conduct likely to cause breach of the peace, in a case with suit number MOT/617c/2016 and the case was adjourned till September 19, 2016 by the Chief Magistrate, B.
