As humans, we were created in such a way that we always desire to be loved, and we tend to embrace the one we are sure loves us genuinely.

There are different meanings attached to the word "Love" today. Indeed, Love had been contaminated and bastardized. Even a hate-filled creature like the devil now claims to show love and care to people. He deceives people into believing he truly loves them, and unfortunately, many are falling into his trap.

When an individual chose to walk in the ways of the devil (in sinful pleasures and activities), such a person has only chosen to embrace the 'love' offered by the devil. Unfortunately, someone can't give what he doesn't have. The devil don't have love, and so, he can't show love. What the devil knows how to do best is to "steal, kill and destroy". He only pretends to love you, he never does!

Sinful lifestyles leads to pain and destructions. Agents of satan (those people drawing you into sinful activities) don't really love you. If they do, they won't go on encouraging you to dip your hands into what can get you hurt.

However, let me introduce you to the One that truly loves you. Jesus Christ is Love. It is He who chose to come to the earth to suffer and die for your sins, so as to give you the joy your soul craves for.

Jesus Christ has your best interest at heart, and He loves you much more than anything else. If you can give Him a chance and you go with Him, you have made a wise choice. Embrace His Love. His Love is genuine. Call unto Him today and you will be saved.

God desire that we have a transformed mind - His own kind of mind. A mind that won't be conformed to this world. A mind that will be transformed through renewal - a mind that will be above carnality.

To successfully place our mind on things above, and not on the things on earth, we must put to death certain carnal things associated with humans. Colossians 3:5 listed some prominent amongst them: "Fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry."

We want to deal with covetousness right now. Interestingly, my thoughts were opened to something few hours ago.

In Exodus 20, God gave the 10 commandments to the children of Israel. From verse 3 to 7, He gave them the very first commandment along with some warnings.

"You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image - any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the father upon the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate me" This is about the sin of idolatry.

Again, in verse 17, He gave them another commandment (the 10th one)

"You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife; nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's." This is about the sin of covetousness.

Now however, God chose to link these two sins together:

"Covetousness,... is idolatry" Colossians 3:5

Covetousness is to have inordinate desire for something (especially not yours). Idolatry is placing something above God. When you are so keen on getting something, that you replaced it with the place God ought to be in your life, you are still with a carnal mind.

You know, anything not in the will of God for your life is not yours. When you keenly seek to get such things, it means you've placed it above the will of God. And when you placed something above the will of God, you have actually placed that thing above God Himself.
It can be anything. Money, relationship, jobs - anything not in the will of God. Kill the desire to get them.

Running after them is coveting them, and you are placing them above God - which is dangerous.

Although humans are created as beings with liberties to make different choices and stay in any side of any divide they desire, we must recognise that God is Almighty and All-knowing. He is the Wise and Loving Creator who has the knowledge of the most appropriate place/position an individual should be at a point in time.

When God purposed an individual to remain at a certain position/place, it is wisdom on the part of the individual to adhere to the Creator's will. You will only have yourself to blame if you leave the place God intend you to be (just like those angels in Jude verse 6)

When God created Adam and Eve, He made the Garden of Eden a proper domain for them (the place he desire that they be). But sin drove them out of their abode, and the result was unpleasant.

In Genesis 6 and 7, God made available an ark to the sin-stained world. Through His servant Noah, He was telling them "Although you have the liberty to be any where you desire, this ark is the proper domain you should make your place of abode" Well, those who chose to stick with other domains different from the place God desire that they should be, were destroyed.

Today, God has made available an ultimate proper domain for humanity. That proper domain is none other than our LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. God is saying today that although you have the liberty to pitch your tent anywhere, the proper place He wants you to be is in Jesus Christ.

You can decide to make sin your place of abode. Fornication, adultery, thefts, drunkenness, etc. But all these are not God's will for you!

God, your Creator, wants you to dwell in JESUS, as it is He who sacrificed His life to redeem you to God.

The proper domain, the place of your abode, is in JESUS CHRIST. Failure to keep your domain is everlasting torment in Hell

How Can I Find Myself In My Proper Domain?

Accept Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life, and continue walking in His will.

Say this prayer: Jesus, I accept you as Lord and Savior of my life. I believe you died for my sins on the cross of Calvary. Have mercy on me and make me a child of God. Amen!

I remember my primary school days when teachers asked class prefects to write names of talkatives. There was this squad called 'odeshi'; whenever names of talkatives were being written, that's when they made the most noise.

This is because no matter how many times or how hard teacher caned them they would never scream or cry.
Their names were always at the top and always had double punishment or triple punishment attached.

The serious students on the other hand did not really make noise but sometimes just whispering to someone made them find their names on the list of talkatives .
When the teacher came for the list to cane, those 'odeshi'; knew themselves so they would even not wait till their names were mentioned.

As the teacher begun to mention the names the serious student would hear his name and say "Oh Sir but i did not talk?" Then the teacher would reply, "But how come your name is on the list?"

So by all means the serious student would be caned.
It turned out that all those who were jumping about and
disturbing the class end up being equal with those who just whispered.

This is how the end is going to be.
Some people have sold their souls to the devil, they have signed contracts with hell, so won't be surprised to see
themselves there.
With this kind of mentality they make sure they really
enjoy life before their death.
