it's not child abuse, and I won't feel guilty.
when the occasion calls for it, i will beat the living daylights out of those children like my mama did me.
20 minutes later I will have a be-a-good-boy talk with him about controlling his behavior and give him a snack.

do I miss that woulda-been?

by now she's probably a baby-fertilizer.  A skunk of seismic proportions.  In fact I am just so glad I confisicated that blood-puffing, money-hungry, banana-grabbing, pimple-faced, k-legged, lice-headed poultry-farm guinea-fowl manure from my immediate life.  Any thought of her makes me scream sweeeeetheeart. angry
TravelRe: If You Adopt Foreign Citizenship You Are No Longer Nigerian! by k0be: 8:09pm On Aug 16, 2007
shango:
well if we just limit citizenship to a status then my argument will be moot to you. If you guys keep getting stuck on that point then we cannot even move forward in this discussion.
What do you mean limit? Isn't that what it is? A Status of being a citizen/ isn't it basically a membership in a community? the type of membership it is has no bearing on the status of that citizenshp.
TravelRe: If You Adopt Foreign Citizenship You Are No Longer Nigerian! by k0be: 8:06pm On Aug 16, 2007
again you missed the point. Italian Americans and Irish Americans celebrate their native holidays every day even though they are 3 or 4th generation Americans.
3rd-gen or 4th-gen's beside the point, or I mean what about 1st-gen?  You're dead-set that they're no longer Nigerian nationals once they adopt foreign citizenship.  You're saying they must forfeit all claims to their Nigerian nationality, and that's not true.

Do you even understand what that means? "Nigerian"
there are many ways to being Nigerian.  Acquisition of a foreign-citizenship does little to strip you of that right.

TravelRe: If You Adopt Foreign Citizenship You Are No Longer Nigerian! by k0be: 7:44pm On Aug 16, 2007
Who then is a "real citizen" of Nigeria? Are you declaring that Nigerians based overseas can not act in ways that show they're Nigerian? Those who participate in the Nigerian-independence-day parade in America for example are just being national idiots? If anyone has killed it, it's you. you slaughtered it.
shango:
bo bo, if you read my original post properly you would have realized I said being a citizen is more than holding 2 passports. Because Nigeria lets you hold dual citizenship doesnt mean you are a real citizen of Nigeria. Being a citizen comes from actions not the status pieces of bound paper give you. That you missed that point of my argument is a damn shame. You killed it by not getting the main thesis of my original post. A damn shame.
and to tell you the truth, being a nigerian citizen doesn't come not solely from actions. Ask the Nigerian government they'll list you the requirements you must meet.

o boy you killed it mehn. to answer that simple one-liner I offered, you basically went off and wrote me a fable.

truth be told young brother, I understand your blind patriotism, just know that it doesn't require a pentium-brained genius to realize that adoption of a foreign citizenship does not disqualify you from being Nigerian.

TV/MoviesRe: Nigerian Film Industry Is Gay by k0be(op): 8:25am On Aug 16, 2007
Here are some thoughts and opinions I extracted from bbc.co.uk

"I can hardly recall a good Nigerian movie. Some of these movies spit on creativity not to mention the poor story lines, acting and camera shots. Surely, we in the art world should invest more for all round quality, and no excuses of shoe-string budgets! "
Enos, Nairobi, Kenya

"I don't watch them nor do I recommend them, because the producers and directors do not have well laid out storylines. They tend to glorify the social decadence in the upper class in Nigeria."
Tunde Odejayi, England

"For me I always prefer quality to quantity. Any Nigerian just wakes up one day and decides to make a movie! Movies are a passion, dedicate yourself to it and invest in it and you will get good returns."
Ike Okwuraiwe, Budapest Hungary

"Nigerian movies are ok in their story lines, but their production qualities are bellow zero point, noisy and the pictures are not clear. "
Chief Kanu, South Africa

"Nigerian films are horrible, the scripts are empty and poor. They always copy and remix the title of western hits. And, most of all, they are too artificial.
Billy Di Angelo, Nigeria

"Personally I do not watch Nigerian movies because many a time they clash with my Christian beliefs. How do I stand to benefit from such soap operas that depict witchcraft and other evils? Our own local production Kabanana is free of spirits and so I watch that one. "
Shuttie FN Libuta, Kitwe, Zambia

The "he enter ela moo je gba" insult goes to Anthony Okosun who writes:
"Nigerian movies are over glorified amateur drama sessions poorly captured in celluloid. The movies are seriously lacking in technical depth. The sound and picture qualities are of less than average quality. The movies are popular because in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. Nollywood producers and directors must do all it takes to acquire cutting edge technical expertise from Hollywood. "

Of al the entries, this one captured my thoughts the best:
"I think because they relate to our lives we are more prone to love them compared to western movies. We love reality and they are real to us, irrespective of their shortcomings."
Osaigbovo Igbinosa, Nigeria
TV/MoviesRe: Nigerian Film Industry Is Gay by k0be(op): 8:12am On Aug 16, 2007
too cheap and insufficient quality -extremely low-budget home-videos resulting in extremely poor quality films
scriptwriters fail to extol the virtues of Nigerians
disconnection between the content in most films and the cultural values of the Nigerian society
negative portrayal - hyper-extensive focus on murder, rituals, witchcraft, blood-money
the spotlight on western culture which of course clashes with traditional nigerian values
how can I forget the acting - with the exception of a few actors/actresses, the acting is simply atrocious. it's horrendous. it would be an insult to call it terrible because it's beyond terrible. ok maybe it's not that bad but you get it. ok I admit I exaggerated.

cute-ass, hey love, does this one do?

yup, you shouldn't take advantage of women like that simply because you're in a physically-advantaged position to do so. They're not your kids. even kids don't deserve unnecessary punishments, or should I say violence?

I do agree that lotta women do some things sometimes that can make you wanna rip their necks out of their heads. Just stay controlled! wink
