cap28: Yes i do understand simple english and i can tell you this - there is such a thing in america as racial profiling whereby black male drivers are stopped and searched at a rate which is disproportionate when equated to the whites who make up the majority of people in that country. Just because you are yet to experience harrsassment at the hands of racist white police officers doesnt mean that your time will not come. If an african american college professor could be treated like dirt and called a banana eating monkey by an ignorant red neck ku kux klan affiliated police officer what makes you think that you will be accorded special treatment? When my time comes.but till then no problems so far on my part, and I don't see it happening in the future.just be a good citizen and keep the attitude at home. |

buzugee: yes i do. police in naija only want bribe. they dont mess with you like that. they even coyly let you know that they want money. they only start messing with you if you dont look powerful and yet you dey do shakara but throughout all the wahala, you have this inner confidence that you can diffuse the situation if you pull out money. american white popo on the other hand ? you are completely at their mercy. whatever they want to happen to you will happen to you. if they want you locked up because they cant stand the sight of your black azzzzz, they will always come up with something. at worst they will give you a ticket for something. lil crack in your windshield, some light is not working well, your window is tinted etc etc. they know how to find something. it is their job to play the public. they are the predators and we are the prey Nobody goes to jail in the US for tinted windows/broken tailight, its not even a misdemeanour, you just get a fix it ticket in your mail, Damn this dude is retarded. |

dayokanu: trying to differentiate between tribalism and racism would achieve what exactly?
So you consider a qualified Chima denied a Job in Lagos and Abuja to favour Audu who is less qualified better than the Eze who was discriminated against in Idaho or Lancashire?
The Igbo woman lynched in Zamfara by fellow blacks would prefer to be in America or canada among white skinned people who call her Nigger.
Kano? Wasnt it in Kano that Southerners are killed in droves for being Southerners?
Have you forgotten Isioma Daniel that had a Fatwa declared on her in Nigeria by fellow black people? Where did she run to? White men country.
Or the Woman that was to be stoned to death by her fellow black men that was saved by some White Italian missionaries?
The number of Nigerians esp Igbos killed in kano and kaduna in the last 10yrs would outnumber those killed in hate crimes all over the world combined together.
Isnt it a known fact that in Govt offices either lagos Abuja or Kaduna if you dont speak Hausa, Your chances of climbing the ladder is very slim? Well said

amor4ce: There is a Yoruba proverb that was mentioned by Pa Abraham Adesanya not too long before he joined his ancestors and it goes something like this: A man will not leave his father's house because the roof leaks whenever it rains. Rather he will do his best to mend the roof.
I have a question for all Nigerians who have emigrated from and seek to emigrate from Nigeria and at the same time condemn the country as hopeless and/or terrible. Why should I not call you a naughty person and a coward?
This also goes to those who were born abroad and have done nothing but criticize and look down on their brothers and sisters.
It is as if these people in self-denial and who live with delusions of grandeur do not realize that they are in a position to do something for their Nigerian neighbors. They cowardly wait for govt (implying others) to do something (spoon-feed) them. Some even criticize govt leaders as if a tree makes a forest. For instance, If I condemn IBB it means that IBB is greater than me and can do and undo at will in my life. I would rather meditate on my contributions and what more I can contribute.
By the way, if you think there's any beef/jealousy on my part, I was born in the Far East and have lived along the US West Coast and in Lagos. I will not be the next Dele Giwa or Ken Saro Wiwa, just to make Nigeria better, I like my life |

I dont regret moving to the US,not one bit. 1)I have never been robbed here unlike in Nigeria 2)I have never bribed anyone here for anything, have not sent anyone a cow/fowl or lamb. 3)Never had a power outage for more than a couple of hours. 4)The convenience at which things get done is just amazing to the extent you forget that some of these things would take days of hustling and waiting in line back home 5)Weather is great, its not sweltering hot all the time in ATL,but then it does snow like in New york, chicago or Philadelphia. 6)Sanitation is great, trash is picked up daily in my neigborhood. Accountability is important here,if you get treated like trash, you take your complaints to a company, they treat you with respect, even refund your money. , I recently bought something that did not work to my liking, they sent me the money and I still kept what I bought. Naija is visit only for me now, . |

Ikenna351: Is not just about power alone. Reliability, durability, parts availability, good road handling and friendly, thats whats matters when you are choosing a long distance vehicle that will give you more than 10 years trouble-free service. I will not have rest of mind if am travling with Mustang 400Hp from maidugri to Awka, in the East, knowing fully well that I will be terribly stranded, if common fan belt breaks on the highway, because I know I can only find it in Lagos or Abuja. Then, how do you expect me to toll the vehicle, if it happens in Lokoja and to where? Peugeot 505 V6 is less electrical, and can be easily diagnossed, even by the owner. But tell me, Who on our Nigeria highways(auto-mechanics) can diagnoss electricals on such car you posted the the picture above? Common ECU's(so called brainbox by Nigerian), our auto-mechs dont even know how to to read the error codes on them. Instead they will keep beating about the bush until the car is completly grounded. And do you expect them to fix that kind of auto above, definitely full with electricals and controlled by so many Electronic Control Units (ECU) on highways? 505 V6 (French Car) and German autos are very reliable units that can give you a lot of confidence and piece of mind when using them as daily drivers and plying them 24/7 on our highways.
Meanwhile, Peugeot 505 V6 & 505 Turbo manual transmissions were sold heavily in US markets before the end of their production in 1992, which happened to be the last Peugeot autos to be sold in USA. 405, 605 & 607 could be the worst autos Peugeot ever produced, but never heard from 406 and 407 users in Nigeria complained about their autos. Fortunately, they all come in manual transmissions, 406 & 407. Well said, partner, but these days you can't find peugeots anywhere in the US,there are a few in Canada, and right, driving a car like that supra for hundreds of miles can be annoying,I am thinking of bringing some American spec cars with me like the pontiac or acura integra with me to Naija, but mechanics/parts will be double wahala, but one thing I know that I can find in Naija is the manual Mercedes Benz/BMWs, especially 90s models, they are very rare in the US, even the Benz 190e/early 90s M3/M5, you can't find them here in the States. |

Ikenna351: Hmm!! What a lazy world we have today, with this auto trans enthusiast!
What makes you think its all about resources/affordability? See, am a Peugeot 505 enthusiast. I just paid for 505 V6 5-speed manual transmission. Not because I can't afford to buy one of these plastics called Japenese autos, but because I went for what I want. I dont have to buy a car to please/impress the on-lookers, I bought that car to please myself. The car is MACHINE What I spent in buying that car could as well buy ONE OF these plastics on our road. Lol Japan has brought the world some of the best high performance cars like the Nissan Skyline,Toyota celica gt four/supra,Nissan 350/370ZX,Mitsubishi Evolution/Subaru WRX STi,Mitsubishi 3000 GT,Acura NSX,RSX,Integra type R,Mitsubishi Eclipse and Mazdaspeed 3,RX 7. What great cars has France made??Peugeot 505 ? lmao |

buzugee: and to the guy who says he resents being african, dude this happens alot in those backward towns in america. places like iowa, texas etc. these white rednecks collide with a deer with their pickup truck. then they quickly disembark and grab their basin and knife at the back of the truck, and scrape the dead animal of the street. they call it road-kill. then they go make bbq with it. in every society, culture, race in the world, there are still a sizeable amount of people with this kind of stone age mindset. i guess maybe they have more testosterone than normal or whatever it is that makes em do these things too much testosterone can give you this, ever heard of "pathogens" http://www.documentingreality.com/forum/attachments/f149/94561d1253913722-ebola-haemorrhagic-fever-rhovictim.003.jpg |

Nigeria is always going to be backward . This is wrong on so many levels. 1)There is NO lifeguard/beach rescue in place at the beach to at least prevent people from touching the whale, before the authorities get there. 2)The beached whale could have easily flopped and broken some of the bystanders to pieces. 3)Nobody knows what killed the whale,it could have eaten something poisonous like all the toxic waste you have floating around in the Atlantic ocean What if these people all of a sudden start to develop some crazy infection, and spread it all over the country

davidylan: Really?
John 14:5Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? 6Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
1 Timothy 2:5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus
It would be very difficult to explain this to someone with a very poor understanding of the bible but who thinks he's intelligent.
If it makes you feel good. I don't think this is the "religous" forum, you can take your creationist beliefs, elsewhere, thank ya |

Do Spain,Germany or Brazil have "African" coaches?? If we "claim" to be one of the best footballing nations, why not take a pick of the best coaches in the Nigerian football League, take the coach of the best local team, and groom him to be the next national coach, after all he will be very familiar with our style of play, nigerians never learn, we have been looking for world cup success for the past 15 years?? |

EzeUche0: Even the most developed nations focus on religion. Look at the United State. They would never allow a Muslim of Jewish person become president unfortunately. Heck, it took them almost 150 years to vote for a Roman Catholic. You are a retard, the US has muslims in their various state legislatures,in federal congress, The US also has Indian governors, one man and one woman.Do you think a Nigerian Christian would be elected in Saudi Arabia,Pakistan or Iran
