buzugee: i understand what you are talking about. i also understand that you are trying to make a point just to make a point. how many people are rescued by helicopter in america if they are in bad shape ? maybe if you are rich and live in a rich neighborhood. where were the helicopters when thousands needed to be rescued in the poor parts of new orleans during the flood ? do you know that in a nursing home, all 35 people drowned . all old people. you know how much it costs to maintain a copter ? you think helicopters are just used willy nilly ? make you crash for bad neighborhood for atlanta and wait and see if helicopter will come for you. you go wait till angel gabriel go come snatch up ya soul carry go o jare I have no idea where you live in the US,but in atlanta,if someone gets lost on the lake or moutains or rivers, helicopters ARE dispersed to FIND them, dog brigades and search parties, go to look for them, a lake was drained in Atlanta recently to find someone, that will never happen in Nigeria, ever, nobody cares that much. |

Here is the most expensive house in the US worth $150 million. Which is not owned by a "musician" heck even Michael Jackson's Neverland ranch is not even worth half of this "smaller" house. qwned by Aaron Spelling, the late Hollywood mogul

buzugee: you miss the point. i dont live to go to malls, or look at fish tanks, or to ride bikes, or to play golf, or to look at beautiful scenery. i am not in this world to admire these things. i dont have a tourist kind of spirit. i dont admire things that do not belong to me. i am not into six flags etc etc. my life revolves around camaraderie and community cohesiveness. building strong bonds in my community. on sunday i want to smell my next door neighbor frying puffpuff, during ileya i want my muslim neighbors to bring me fried meat, during weddings i want to wear my agbada with all my friends and we will sit down and laugh together and eat igbin and drink gulder together, i want to be able to drive to that fresh fish peppersoup joint with my boys and drink guiness, i want to go to that joint where you will point to the fish that you like, then they will fry it on the spot for you, i want to be able to go to obalende suya with my wife and kids and eat suya, i want to be able to go to my neighbors house un-announced, i want to be able to sit with my boys over a hot plate of peppersoup and suya and watch the football games, i want to see my kids playing with the neighbors kids without worrying about gunshots, i want my wife to feel like she has lots of friends around she can count on and not have white neighbors all around etc etc ya dig ? it is not about structures. it is about the bonds you form in life. get at me when you grow up i dont want to live a life that is dictated by the clock, it is too restrictive and turns people into cold robots, ya dig it aint about structures for me, i could care less about the scenery so long as it looks halfway decent. ya dig ? camaraderie enriches the soul. you will never get that in america. this is why people shoot each other up and commit suicide all the time. isolation, distrust But what schools will you send your children to?They strike when they feel like, overcharge for barely educating the kids, how about when you get ill What hospitals will you take your kids to? The educational infrastructure in Nigeria is falling apart, they are turning out half baked students who cram all thory with no hands on experience in anything? If you get wrecked in Nigeria, which hospital will send a helicopter to airlift you None. Nigerians die in crashes because they can't get to the hospital soon enough, not because there are no hospitals F |

buzugee:
ok first off you are probably older than me. i am a young man but i started travelling early so i have tonnes of experience. secondly all those things are not in any surburbs. those kind of things are downtown. which surburb in america has yachts and underground restaurants ? none that i have been in. matter of fact all the american surburbs i have been in are boring and depressing. yes the houses are bigger but the people in them all stay indoors, and are very standoffish and snooty. good luck with that kind of living.
and lastly those kind of surburbs are filled with white people. good luck trying to play golf in the midst of all the archaic old white men.
imagine having all this in your own country ? you walk in there and everyone looks like you. no pre-concieved and hidden ideas about superiority ? utter bliss
a roaster ? what does that mean ? am i fantasizing about naija ? nope, but i am working towards making enough money so i can go back. if you call that roasting ? then i will be a roaster everyday all day. in fact from now on, just call me roaster. you see quite unlike you ? i had a very good time in nigeria. i bought my first car when i was 18 in naija. a datsun stanza. the only reason i stupidly left naija was because i am a british citizen. so i figured, hey you are british ? why not go to jand. i didnt leave naija because i was a suffer head like you. this is why i still have good memorys of the place. i no stay inside mushin slum like you There is just one respectable Mall in Lagos, period, Bar beach and alpha beach touts waiting to grab your money,No six flags and no water parks,no disney world ,no disney land.Six flags amusement park is ten minutes from my house in Atlanta,There are three lakes within an hours drive,I go biking and fishing inside the national park not far away from my subdivision, I have no idea what you are talking about. There are 6 malls alone in the state of Georgia with hundreds more top class shopping centres. There are many bike clubs in atlanta and car clubs,if you want to race you can go to Road atlanta or Atlanta Motor Speedway,if you want to cruise heck you can ride across the country if you choose,Miami is just next door,to do all the boating in the world,or you can go down to cumberland Island or Savannah GA,just 3 hours away. Atlanta has tons of fun stuff to do,and its not even one of the top 10 cities in the USA,plus great weather year round, only seen heavy snow twice in Atlanta, most of the time in summer it is as hot as Naija

buzugee: i guess the conclusion to this whole argument is that nigeria is a wonderful place (it truly is, i have seen my rich friends on facebook on jetskis in the waters of the island, i have seen underground underwater restaurants where you are sorrounded by glass through which you see sharks and stuff, i have seen bentleys, beautiful mansions, cobbled streets, one of the best medical facilitys in the world in victoria island with all foreign trained doctors who specialize in stuff like cardiology, i have seen thousands of people in bike clubs (they all own harley davidsons and in groups of thousands ride around the island, i hear they even ride to ghana sef, i have seen incredible shopping malls, i have seen beautiful parks on the island with basketball and tennis courts, people now own yachts on the island, interior decorators with showrooms that bath and beyond will be jealous of, i have seen clubs on the beaches where you pay to rent ATV and drive it all over the sand i have seen it all in naija,
so what i am trying to say is that naija is the most beautiful place if you have money, and the most miserable place if you dont. so if you are broke and living abroad ? there is no point in coming home. seriously. stay where you are. but if you are extremely rich and living in diaspora ? now is the time to come and enjoy what lagosians under the tutelage of fashola, the chinese, the arabs have built. a wonderful paradise for the taking. but only if you are rich
for those who dont know what an ATV is https://img257.imageshack.us/img257/3716/atvbg.jpg
Uploaded with ImageShack.us [/quote
We all know what an ATV is grandpa , all the super exclusive activities like riding in the sand, boating, yachting, playing basketball and tennis is in every suburb of every major city in the US.you sound like a noob. From my house I can walk to a golf club,an airport, many tennis, basketball courts and endless trails for jogging, nature watching and relaxation. You really must be a roaster if you are fantasizing about naija so much. You need some sort of loan? |
