They’re basically saying, Yeah, the judge said so but we’d rather play by our own rules. Absolute regulatory malfeasance. If this isn’t a case for the EFCC to swoop in and audit their entire operation, I don’t know what is.

Same Buhari that wiped out Maitatsine could not wipe out Boko Haram

Yesterdays problem is not todays problem
Eradicating Boko Haram first you need intelligence. Not the CIA kind, You need boots on the ground, human intelligence, people who can blend in. Second you starve them out. Cut off their supply chain from money, weapons, recruits. Freeze their assets, trace their transactions, and when you find their offshore accounts, you seize them.

Next you dismantle their command structure. Target their leadership with precision strikes whatever it takes. But you don’t just bomb them into oblivion. you make sure their replacements are already in custody or dead. No succession plan, no organization.

Then you address the root cause. Boko Haram thrives on poverty, ignorance, and corruption. Fixing that. That’s like expecting the Nigerian government to implement proper error handling. But you can try education, economic development, local governance that doesn’t just line the pockets of politicians. Good luck with that.

But again if the Nigerian military can’t even keep their own soldiers from selling their rifles to the enemy, what hope do you have?

Boko haram is not hard to deal with it. We just have bunch of low IQ peeps in power from Peter Obi to Tinubu.

You’re telling me you swapped a UK salary for a Lagos logistics business and cleared more in naira? Either your math is as shaky as Nigeria’s power grid or you’re running a glorified okada operation.

So the UK made you a robot and Lagos made you alive? Priorities, my guy.

You’re not building something meaningful. You’re running a glorified okada service with a fancy title. You came back because you couldn’t hack it abroad and now you’re selling it as a choice. Weak.

Spare me the redemption arc. Just admit you missed the suffering.

This isn’t just petty vandalism, it’s a full blown tantrum. You think the landlord’s just going to shrug and say Oh well, guess I’ll eat the cost? No. This guy’s going to pay for every single scratch, every broken fixture, and then some beatings if the landlord is actually someone in damn streets.
TravelRe: Grenada Offers Visa-Free Access To Nigerians, Seeks Stronger Investment Ties by Kaczynski: 6:00pm On Jun 10
This is a classic case of a third world country throwing a bone to another third world country while expecting first world investment.

They're offering visa free access like it's some kind of economic stimulus package. It's laughable.

They're not attracting high-value investors, they're just opening the floodgates for whoever wants to launder money. And the idea that this will somehow strengthen investment ties is delusional. Nigeria’s got bigger problems than Grenada’s tourism board. This is desperation dressed up as diplomacy. Path-etic.

Hussein035:
All you people wants to calculate is inflation

Do you forget that inflation is an indication of economic growth

When cement was sold at #1500 how many beautiful houses were built in your street? When fuel was #30 so many family still eat egg and bread on festival days only

In my village, when fuel was #85 per liter nobody build a house with sewage all we do is shit inside nylon and discard onto the bush. Fuel is now #1400 yet people are building 3 bedroom flats and big chopping complex

Inflation can never be stopped because it's an indication of growth

No need to downplay the government efforts pls

FamilyRe: Why Should A Struggling Man Marry A Poor Lady And Give Birth To Us To Suffer by Kaczynski: 8:11am On Jun 09
pansophist:
Go back thousands or millions of years that humans have existed, and you’ll see that most people are poor and they all gave birth.

Not giving birth because you’re poor is playing against nature, and your natural predisposition.

Infact the poorer a person is, the likelihood they will have many children, and the richer a person is, the fewer children they have. It’s a paradox.
You’re trying to justify poverty with some twisted version of natural selection like it’s a fuarking TED Talk. You sound like a eugenicist who just discovered Darwin.

Poor people have more kids because they can’t afford birth control not because they’re some kind of hyper fertile underclass. Rich people have fewer to no kids because they have the luxury of planning their lives instead of being crushed by circumstance.

You’re sitting there spouting this mumbo jumbo like it’s some profound truth when in reality you’re just regurgitating the same tired Malthusian hogwash that’s been used to justify colonialism, racism, and every other form of oppression for centuries.

The fact that you’re using nature to defend poverty is proof you’ve never had to struggle a day in your life.

Next you’ll tell me that war is natural because humans have been fighting for millennia.

If house helps = modern day slavery, what then do you call office assistants and cleanershuh??

Or even care givers in developed country...

Everybody cant be rich, even the poor the bible says will be amongst us.....tell me what the poor do, if not one of the above...
You’re peddling the same neoliberal tripe that tech bros use to justify exploitation of labor. You’re not a slave if you can quit at any time.

Office assistants? Cleaners? Caregivers? They’re the backbone of your precious developed economy and what do they get? shmitty wage, no benefits and the condescending pat on the head from people like you who think poverty is just a lifestyle choice. The poor aren’t entrepreneurs of their own means. they’re trapped in a system designed to keep them trapped.

The Bible also says women should submit to their husbands and gays should be stoned. If you’re going to cherry pick ancient texts to justify modern inequality, at least have the decency to admit you’re a beguiler.

The poor don’t choose to be poor. They’re the collateral damage of a system that rewards the rich while pretending the rest of us are just lazy or unmotivated.

Lol! You are simply delusional.
Adults took a job as a domestic staff. They go home to their families everyday and you say I am exploiting them? Which labour rule was flouted? Their future is in their hands now, they are not working with me anymore.😂
All thanks to the dark lord. They are finally free at last.

Slavery: Slavery is the condition in which one human being is legally owned by another and forced to work without compensation.

My house assistants work conditions;

1) My two house assistants were adults.

2) They signed a formal contract to work for/with me.

3) Work hours are 9am to 5pm, Mon-Fri, and on days where they worked beyond 6pm, they were paid for extra hours. Mostly days we bulk cooked or had a lot of deep cleaning to do.

4) They were entitled to breakfast and lunch.

5) They handled everything but cooking and caregiving. Errands, sweep, mop, market pickup (I have a shopper, they only pickup from her), iron clothes, clean general areas. They never washed or ironed adult clothes.

6) They were paid above minimum wage. 100k/month to be very specific. N40,000 biweekly. N20,000 was kept aside as their pension, payable with its accumulated interest upon resignation.

7) They both lived within walkable distance. Like a 15mins walk, so they didn't incur transportation cost.

What part of this arrangement was slavery? I am open to learning because this seems like a day job to me and legal domestic staffing have existed in different forms under different names.
That's slavery in the 90s. Modern day slavery is utterly different.

You’re overcompensating to mask the fact that you’re treating them like indentured servants basically dangling their future like a carrot on a stick. You’re ensuring they’re always within arm’s reach like a well-trained pet.

You’re the one dictating their every move. They don’t get to choose their tasks, you assign them like a prison warden.

Slavery isn’t just chains and whips, It’s about control. It’s about making someone dependent on you for their livelihood. It’s about treating human beings like resources to be exploited.

This isn’t a job. This is wage slavery with a side of paternalistic bs. You’re not their boss, you’re their warden.

Genuine question though, why don't we acknowledge traditional religious practices like Isese and others?

Is it because of it's duplicity? Like Blueraydick said, I have also met academic intellectuals and professionals who do not believe in Christianity nor Islam but actively practice a form of traditional religion.
Traditional religions are the Windows 95 of belief systems, so clunky, superstitious, and completely unable to adapt to modern demands. Ancestor worship? Orisha cults? It’s all just voodoo economics promising salvation while delivering nothing but empty rituals and fiction. And don’t even get me started on how they’ve been hijacked by political elites to manipulate the masses. It’s like running a server on dial up painfully slow and prone to crashes .

Then you’ve got Christianity and Islam—enterprise grade religions with all the scalability issues of a monolithic Java app. Christianity’s got its prosperity gospel grifters turning faith into a marketing scheme while Islam got its Boko Haram offshoots running ddos on basic human decency.

I have had two house assistants (I rather not call them maid) and I ENJOYED it. I don't encourage using minors for domestic labour, but I employ adults. I also do not do live-in, and my decision to employ one had nothing to do with laziness or show-off. I simply conserved my time and energy for what is most important to us as a family. I would get another once I see a lady I connect with.

Read about Tim Paterson; he has a CS degree. He was the one who created DOS, which MS bought from the company he worked for, for only $50K and later made billions/trillions from it. However, no one heard about him because he was just an employee, until recently, when YouTube brought it to attention. This is what often happens in tech: People with strong CS/SE backgrounds who create great stuff are not heard of, but those in control are the ones who take the credit and make billions/trillions.

Tim Paterson
Biography
Paterson was educated in the Seattle Public Schools, graduating from Ingraham High School in 1974. He attended the University of Washington, working as a repair technician for The Retail Computer Store in the Green Lake area of Seattle, Washington, and graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Computer Science[1] in June 1978. He went to work for Seattle Computer Products as a designer and engineer.[1] He designed the hardware of Microsoft's Z-80 SoftCard which had a Z80 CPU and ran the CP/M operating system on an Apple II.

He's just like every guy in tech, Bill joy tops whatever this guy did.

People that created something ,these guys have no degrees eg dennis ritches, richard stallman, linus torvalds etc.

If linus torvalds was naive like this tim guy, Minix would be far ahead of Linux, Linux would just be dead.
