Just maybe cos I'm watching this movie several decades past its cultural zeitgeist, that's probably why it ain't looking all that to me. It must have been breathtaking at the time especially with the top tier visual effects of the film which somehow holds up to this day.

I get how Ridley Scott instantly shot up to GOAThood pedigree after delivering a film of this magnitude and sprang up a film franchise that's still bankable to this day.

It was an entertaining watch nonetheless, just not the type of mastery and storytelling I was probably looking for.

Pretty much continues Yorgos Lanthimos' weird tradition of quirky characters and weird themes with some gray characters hinging between a thin line of sanity and delusion.

Emma Stone and Jesse Plemons has secured themselves as reoccurring characters in Yorgos' latest films.

But that ending is just somehow and pretty much made the dynamics much weirder. I would have opined in removing it and it would have made the film more reasonable or realistic.

Dogtooth and that other romance film are the best Yorgos ever did
