Politics / The Mood Of The Nation by Kakaakinews: 10:28am On Feb 11, 2022
- Dr Kazeem Bello, New Jersey.

Very Correct, in addition, we must learn from the Democratic Party Mistake in 2017 when the them Vice President to President Obama for two outperforming times was sidelined in the run for the Presidency instead fielding Hillary Clinton.

That was a costly mistake because the Country's mood at that time was in favor of Joe Biden Presidency, but the Democratic Party caucus decided to appeal to him to step down for Hillary Clinton including President Obama who had the haculean task of convincing his 8years full and capable lieutenant to forgo his Presidential bid in favor of Hillary. Again, it was a costly mistake for the Democratic Party to lose the power of incumbency because they misread the mood of the US voters.

They not only lose the Presidency in a dramatic fashion, but allow Trump to accend to the thrown miraculously. Many people thought it was miracle but I was one of the few that stated from the onset that Trump will Win that election and he did. I based my thoughts on the insider information from the Wall Street gossip forum which I participated in as a Trader. That unofficial Gossip forum is known not to be wrong. They work with real and uncontroversial facts you may get anywhere.

After the Election, most Nigerians who obviously supported Hillary's Candidacy wanted to lynch me for my predictions but it wasn't any predictions from me as I am not a soothsayer. It was something just inevitable and a collosal political miscalculation by the Democratic Party to have ignored Joe Biden for Hillary.

Thank God Trump messed up big time as President hence paving the way for Joe Biden to naturally come back to take his annoited position despite being a Catholic, with serious preexisting medical conditions and on top, the oldest person to win that ticket in history. Americans knew they wanted Jeo Biden the first time and not Hillary. The entire Black community refused completely to come out and vote despite Obama appeals and Bill Clinton appeals to them for Hillary, but they are the one that delivered the killer votes that ended Trump administration in 2020 election. The samething may happen in Nigeria if APC ignore the moods of the Nigerian voters and fielded another candidate net matter the popularity of that candidate.

We must not make that mistake in Nigeria especially the APC. It is okay for anyone to aspire to become the President of Nigeria and we must allow fair level playing ground for others. But APC must understand that PYO has performed creditably. He didnot exceed expectations due to circumstances beyond his control but it remains a fact that he has been the best Vice President Nigeria ever had perhaps almost equaling his record was the late Dr Ekweme the Vice President to President Shagari.

The mood of the Nigerians like in the US in 2016 is in favor of PYO and he remains the only unifying candidate among the piles that may have indicated interest so far.

Elections in Nigeria are not reliable and are subject to so many manipulations and rigging, you really cannot say or predict what may happen but it may be save to state that if PYO is not fielded by the APC, they will be dislodged easily from Aso Rock not necessarily by PDP but another miracle may happen in Nigeria like it did in the US in 2016 Elections that ushered in Donald Trump.

It is left for APC to decide but they have the best chance to retain Aso Rock in PYO right now. Yes PYO Campaign may not have the strong machinery and structures of others, he may not have the financial war chest like others with bullion vans to move cash, he may not have an identified political followers he must appeased or settled to deliver the vote but he surely has the power of an over performing Vice Presidency in his favor that has endeared his Candidacy to virtually most Nigerians.

Hopefully, APC will not make that mistake. If Election were to be held today February 10th 2022, PYO will easily win that election no matter who is runing.

This is the reality on the ground despite all odds. What the campaign needed to do is to build the strategy to sustain that winning momentum and credibility of PYO until election time. There is no reason to attempt to do the unexpected by struggling to look for so much cash to bribe the Voters. No need to capitulate the formulas to out spend others equally. The focus must be to retain the current momentum until the election time and he will prevail except again if APC make the mistake to ignore his Candidacy.

I made other suggestions in my past contributions and they remain valid. At the end, the way President Buhari was assisted to win the Presidency may have to support the PYO Candidacy here also against perceived big spenders and juggernauts heavy weights politicians.

In Nigeria, unfortunately, anything can happen unlike the US especially with the Election proper itself .

It's a wake up call for APC, they have to read in between the lines what majority of the Nigerian voters needs at the moment or they should kiss bye bye to Aso Rock.

Politics / Omojuwa: He Whom The Gods Want To Kill, They First Make Him by Kakaakinews: 10:13pm On Nov 04, 2020
by Adebowale Ogunfuye, Esq, MA, BL, FCI Arb (UK), FCTI

If there is anything fame, real or virtual, does to people who are most often careless, to handle such pedestal, is that it makes them see themselves as ‘final authority’ or persons with unlimited freedom to expression even when their opinions are overtly puerile, jejune and infantile. May be that accounts for why Donna Rockwell describes fame as a dangerous drug. This is not far-fetched. Known celebrities whom had occupied the world stage at some point have proved, without equivocation that fame and celebrity can closely mirror substance abuse symptomology - and over time, result in actual substance abuse, isolation, mistrust, dysfunctional adaptation to fame, and then, too often, untimely death.

There are glaring examples which are equally familiar - from Judy Garland to River Phoenix and Michael Jackson to Whitney Houston.

It is an open and shut fact that fame, real or self-acclaimed, changes a person’s life forever, and it is felt more as an impact or “overnight” experience rather than a gradual transition. Donna hinted further and I could not but acquiesce with him; developmentally, the celebrity often goes through a process of first loving, then hating fame; addiction; acceptance; and then adaptation (both positive and negative) to the fame experience. Becoming a celebrity alters the person’s being-in-the-world. Once fame hits, with its growing sense of isolation, mistrust, and lack of personal privacy, the person develops a kind of character-splitting between the “celebrity self” and the “authentic self,” as a survival technique in the hyperkinetic and heady atmosphere associated with celebrity life.

In driving this home, our own Twitter Yeyebrity, Japhet J. Omojuwa who’s simply known as @omojuwa on his Twitter handle may have begun to tow the footprints of erstwhile yeyebrities whom today have lost touch with the world and are living a debilitating life, or worst still a similar life like those whom have gone to the great beyond. I am discombobulated beyond viva voce to read Omojuwa’s outbursts against the Vice President of the country, Professor. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, GCON on the #EndSARS ‘imbroglio’.

In his senseless tirade, he had described the erudite professor of constitutional law and #2 citizen as ‘shameless’ and what could be termed as ‘despotic’.

How more could somebody who’s lettered, educated and influential on the social media be asinine, fatuous and inane. How could Omojuwa, whom, for whatever reason (s) known to him, have thrown caution into the wind and attacked a man without checking his facts?

Just like his fellow compatriot on Jack’s blogosphere, Segun Awosika mentioned on same issue of the #EndSARS impasse; ‘no matter the situation, never let your emotions overpower your intelligence.’ Clearly, Omojuwa has sadly shown either of two things - he may have outsourced his brain to Nnamdi Kanu who now replaced same with saw dust or he is high on some schizophrenic substance that led him to his catatonic exuberance.

Omojuwa has allowed his little fame on the street of Twitter to get into his skull. So, he sees himself as an authority on national issues orchestrated by his pyrrhic hailings on social media. He is quick to forget that social media popularity is a fluke! One minute you are their ‘hero’, the next minute, you become their adversary.

Now that Omojuwa has thrown civility to the trash can atypical of a child with no proper upbringing, a child the Yorùbás will address as an ‘omo àlè’; it needs be sounded into his, now, empty skull the steps taken in record time by the geek professor and a responsible father on the issue at hand even before it snowballed into the avoidable wanton destruction and arson witnessed in recent time. However, let it be on record that Japhet J. Omojuwa remains one of the destructive Nigerians who further fuelled the needless mayhem with their bogus, sensational and unfounded news. And posterity is forever there to judge every one of them who amplified the carnage.

For record purposes, the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo had before then taken major and crucial steps which included but not limited to the following:

1. On October 4, 2020, the Vice President expresses his frustration and anger towards the officers of the (now) disbanded Special Anti-Robbery Service (SARS) over their shenanigans against the common man on the streets, especially the youth with a promise for reform. He did not stop there. He would go on to meet with the Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Adamu after which initial ban of the SARS unit was announced.

2. On October 9, 2020, on this day, the Vice President again met with the IG of Police, the Director-General of the Directorate of State Services (DSS) and the Executive Secretary, National Human Right Commission to review the steps taken so far to address squarely the menace of SARS condescending excesses. Same day the Vee Pee would brief the Commander-in-Chief on his earlier meetings with the IG of Police and other relevant government agencies with assurance on complete and total reform of the entire police paraphernalia.

3. October 11, 2020 saw the official disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) unit by the IG of Police while ordering all Federal SARS officers to report at the Force Headquarters for debriefing, psychological and medical examination, which in any case it is the standard obtainable in any part of the world. The Vice President made a statement assuring the Nigerian populace that the force must be accountable to the people it swore to protect. He did not stop there, but also promised justice in all violation instances stating without equivocation the right of all Nigerians to peaceful protests.

4. On October 16, 2020, four (4) days before the unfortunate #LekkiTollGate drama, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo publicly apologized to all Nigerians on the very lugubrious and sardonic #EndSARS agitation which had then taken another dimension having being hijacked by external forces.

With the above trajectory, it is therefore gobsmacking that somebody in his bid to chase clout will throw caution to the wind and cast aspersions on the personage of the Vice President. If there is anything Omojuwa has proven, he has proven that he is either ‘àbíìkó’ from his parents, or ‘àkóìgbà’ proving a recalcitrant and disobedient child. No true born, thoroughbred Yorùbá son would do what he did on the office and the person of the Vice President especially when his adversary had made attempts at addressing whatever issue (s) he (they) felt was wrong.

Again, it is not impossible that Omojuwa was acting a script from those some keen observers have described as ‘òdàlès’ from the ruling party. Or could it be that he was deliberately being mischievous for clout sake. But then, a fool finds delight in wicked shenanigans while the sagacious relish in sapience and wittiness.

Let those close to Japhet Omojuwa remind him that fame is a double-edged sword. Not many persons can handle it with overt reality. If tampered with what is overt, then the individual is fine. But when it is allowed to get into one’s head, trouble and doom beckon.

Japhet should tow the path of honour by withdrawing his alakori tweet, publish a written public apology and look for a way to physically apologize by prostrating flat on his tiny belly and face to ask for the forgiveness of the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo for attacking him wrongly, otherwise, posterity will judge and prove him as an ‘omo àlè’. Tueeehhh!

Politics / At Anisza 2020 Nigeria @ 60: Gowon Interacts With Nigerian Youths by Kakaakinews: 5:17pm On Oct 02, 2020
*How I became Head of State at 32

A former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (Rtd), has described as accidental his emergence as Nigeria’s head of state at age 31.

The retired military general became the third President of Nigeria and youngest Head of State ever on August 1, 1966, before his 32nd birthday on October 19th. At the time, he served the longest tenure in Nigerian history as president between 1966–1975. Till date Gowon remains the longest serving Nigerian head of State with 9 years at a go.

Speaking at the Nigeria’s first virtual reality history competition organised by ANISZA Foundation and Gallery, to commemorate its second annual anniversary, themed: ‘Sustaining Peace Together,' Gowon said, “I felt petrified when I took over as Head of State”.

At the virtual event, which was moderated by the Founder and Curator of ANISZA Foundation and Gallery, Novo Isioro, the former head of state added that his ambition then was just to be be a good soldier. “I never planned to be the President, it just happened,” he noted.

The former head of state spent time with hundreds of Nigerian youths who participated in the virtual event which was also the debut of the 'Heart of the Matter with Novo Isioro,' an online talk show where the host will raise issues of peace and unity among Nigerians and globally.

The octogenarian who relived some of his life experiences and counseled young Nigerians on the right attitudes and values
further engaged the participants at the virtual event on national issues especially the role youths can play in national development.

Among the participants were also select school children who are members of the ANISZA School Club some of whom sat around Isioro during the conversation with the former head of state.

General Gowon also interacted with the participants on issues ranging from their identities, views on ‘one Nigeria’ and their personal commitments to ensure the nation remains united.

The Plateau State hailed General also reiterated his faith in the Nigerian youth and the country’s potential for greatness, noting that “we can be able to live in peace and unity irrespective of religion and tribe.”

With a lot of wits and humour he also admonished young people, traditional and religion institutions to take up the responsibility of securing the national identity saying everyone has major roles to play in harnessing national values that will spur growth and development across all sectors of the Nigerian life.

The host of the talk show and ANISZA founder, Isioro, explained that the event, and the whole idea of ANISZA is to educate Nigeria youths especially secondary school students in Nigerian history using photographs and other visual elements, and by understanding of the Nigerian journey, it can advance the cause of Peace and Unity in the country.

She also added that the national virtual history competition which also took place yesterday is "part of the efforts of ANISZA to engage young Nigerians on our history while using it to emphasize national unity."

Representatives of SHELL Nigeria, one of the leading sponsors of the ANISZA were also in attendance during the event. Other sponsors include Alpha, Dawn & Forth, Creators Lab, Bamboo entertainment, Naija Cham, Infohob, Koroba entertainment.

One of the participants, Mr. Godswill Chibuzor also expressed his delight at seeing and hearing the former head of state speak, and also commended his fitness despite his advanced age.

Many of the virtual participants also noted that General Gowon’s interaction with participants yesterday has now given them more confidence in Nigeria and that the country would surely become great, contrary to what many of them had believed before the event and interaction with the General

Isioro, ANISZA's visionary is an alumnus of the Pan Atlantic University, and a visual communication strategist and photographer who served as Nigeria's Presidential Documentary Photographer in the Office of the Vice President up until last year when she proceeded to the United States for further education at the New York Film School.

Politics / From Osinbajo To His Ex Aide by Kakaakinews: 11:47pm On Aug 21, 2020
By Ahmed Burba

It is important to state in clear terms that the Office of The Vice President sacked Donald Wokoma, an aide to Prof Yemi Osinbajo years before the Justice Ayo Salami-led Presidential Investigative Committee started investigating the former acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Ibrahim Magu.

According to a piece published on August 20, 2020 by Daily Post, the Salami panel alleged that Wokoma did not execute some contracts awarded to his companies.

The piece titled, ‘Salami panel: How Osinbajo’s ex-aide allegedly collected N250m without executing contracts’.

The correctness of the report by Daily Post is something to doubt considering the fact that the medium has been recently been in the vanguard of fake news and platforms crusading a campaign of calumny against the person of Osinbajo.

The solid fact remains that Wokoma was disengaged during the first term of the Vice President.

When the matter came up, the Vice president was extremely helpful in ensuring that Wokoma was properly investigated and no preferential treatment of any kind was requested for him. It was also learnt that the money was impounded and eventually forfeited.

On a most serious note, it looks like all hope is gone with nailing the Vice President with allegations and they have quickly moved on to his ex aides.

It is becoming more apparent each day the deliberate act to bring down the vice president's reputation.

Recall that some media houses including Vanguard Newspapers, BusinessDay Newspapers, Daily Sun Newspapers, and BBC recently apologised to the vice president over fabricated and falsified news stories.

Rather than carry on with this fruitless venture, it will be nice that we focus as a nation on more important issues at hand instead of distracting the whole country with allegations of someone's ex aide that has been investigated and properly dealt with.

People should stop taking advantage of the general public who do not necessarily follow the news or have details about certain issues.

After several attacks on the VP were flawed with facts and statistics it is time to start looking around his ex aides, we will not be surprised if they come up with an ex-student of his later on. I strongly suggest everyone to desist from the agents of political mischief for the benefit of all of us

Politics / Who Is Using Jackson Ude,Rudolf Okonkwo & Ikenga Ugochinyere Against Osinbajo by Kakaakinews: 12:32pm On Aug 09, 2020
WE have now come to the conclusion that there is some hidden agenda being perpetrated by Messrs Jackson Ude, Rudolf Okonkwo and Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere on behalf of a veiled paymaster against the person of the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo.

The case is easy to figure out. Ude published a series of tweets yesterday Saturday August 8 2020 and within the hour, Ikenga Imo Ugochinyere, using the auspices of the Coalition for United Political Parties, CUPP, has issued a Press Release not only lapping on the spurious claims of Ude, but also going further to question the integrity of a man many will swear by his character, sterling reputation and integrity.

And once Ugochinyere signed the statement (titled "Allegation of how VP Osibanjo, Auditor-General illegally drew N10b from TSA:-CUPP wants Auditor-General arrested immediately and calls on Vice President to step aside and clear his name,"wink Ude's discredited online portal was the first to publish the CUPP commets. In fact for the next several hours and at the time of going to press, no reputable online news portal or newspaper has published Chinyere's irresponsible and reckless release.

Those serious news media may have a point. All of Ude's previous claims against the Vice President has been discredited and debunked wholesale one by one.

Ude says Magu gave VP N4B and that Magu made such a confession at the Presidential Investigation Panel on EFCC. Magu came out openly that not only is the story not true but that even the name of the VP did not feature in the panel. The Panel itself has reportedly stated categorically that the report is a wild imagination.

Ude claims that the VP'S daughter bought an Abuja property for N800m but the landlord in a signed public statement says he has not sold his property and that the VP'S daughter is a tenant. The landlord in doing so references public records available for scrutiny.

Again Ude claims that the EFCC Secretary worked with the Simons Cooper law firm where VP was a partner before he resigned to take the oath of office, insinuating that VP planted him in EFCC to cut deals. But the law firm has come to assert that the said Secretary never worked in nor even visited Simons Cooper!

Weeks ago, Rudolf Okonkwo, aka Dr. Damages, ran a similar video clip attacking the Vice President baselessly and carelessly basing all his conclusions on a news report that had already been shown to be inaccurate and wrong in its reporting. Without as much as do his own investigation Okonkwo happily repeated a fake story and joined in the smear campaign against a truly honest public official.

The despicable antics of Ude, Okonkwo and Ugochinyere is only comparable to the crazy and wild claims of IPOB's Nnamdi Kanu who kept claiming blindly and insanely that the Vice President was either detained in the Aso Villa or has infected COVID-19 and all other sorts of his now infamous, incredible and devious lies against the Vice President and his family.

All of this ludicrous pranks seem to point only in one direction: a hidden agenda by a veiled individual who like a masquerade is the actual perpetrator causing all of the attacks, smear and campaign of calumny against Prof Osinbajo, an forthright man who is only determined to serve this country with all his heart.

As members of the Buhari Osinbajo Solidarity Front, BOSF, we like to serve notice that we have now become sufficiently aware of all these underhand and deceitful plans and dishonest plots by a certain political figure against the sitting Vice President whose only offense is that "he is the likely formidable candidate for the office of President come 2023." BOSF may be compelled soon to unveil the masquerade in the market place!

Their latest wicked lie that the VP and the Auditor General "connived" to withdraw N10B from the Treasury Single Account of the Federal Government is not only absurd in the most extreme sense, but also practically impossible. Auditors do not withdraw or disburse money they only check on disbursements and financial records.

Even the Vice President does not have any authority to withdraw money from the TSA. Both Ude and Ugochinyere have demonstrated an embarrassing level of ignorance of how public accounts are managed and this is only the reflection of their motivations. They have not acted in any public interest of any kind. They have only shown themselves as blind hireling of the veiled masquerade.

In any case the Special Investigation Panel (to which Ude refers as being disbanded because of the "connivance"wink was actually dissolved and rightly so by President Muhammadu Buhari because it was acting way beyond the reach of its powers and mandate, becoming an instrument of harrassment and extortion.

A Special Investigation Panel is only to investigate specific cases referred to it. That’s why mandate is required for the SIP to handle any investigation. It’s not like the Police, EFCC, ICPC or even Code of Conduct Bureau which have general powers. The purpose for the SIP was not to create yet another EFCC or ICPC but to have a Panel that can quickly deal with important issues that cannot wait on queue.

The then Chairman of the SIP who is now being investigated by the ICPC just seized the opportunity to start extorting money from all sorts of people under the pretense of investigation. Any reasonable government would not tolerate such a covetous conduct.

BOSF will like to alert Nigerians and all people of goodwill that the concerted plot to smear and tarnish the reputation of the Vice President has become a cottage industry of sorts and we are seeing all manners of merchants and traders running up and down desperately seeking to misinform, malign and mislead.

Finally the strategy of this callous cohort is the same as that of Paul Joseph Goebbels, the German Nazi politician and Hitler's Minister of Propaganda from 1933 to 1945--keep inventing and repeating false corruption claims against the Vice President in the expectation that this would bring about a shady cloud on the integrity of a well known man of upright character and forthrightness. They will fail. We urge members of the public to be wary of all this shenanigans and demand for the truth without which they should ignore that masquerade and his outriders.

Politics / Daily Sun's Wicked Lies Exposed: Re: Senate Targets Osinbajo, Fashola.... by Kakaakinews: 7:31am On Jul 27, 2020
Re: Senate Targets Osinbajo, Fashola, Others Over Multimillion Dollar Power Deal

Dr. AHMED RAHMAN, ABUJA

On Tuesday July 21, the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Power, Senator Gabriel Suswam, presented a report on ‘Addressing Nigeria’s Power Sector Problems’ for debate at Plenary. As may be expected, the report recounted many of the well-known woes and inadequacies of the Nigerian Power Sector. At the same time, it tried to ascribe reasons to them.

In the course of that, the Senator dwelled on the Azura Power Generating Company and what the transaction was costing the Federal Government.

As may be expected, most papers reported it the next day, but of all of them, the approach taken by the Daily Sun stood out.

Here, we shall take a look at the key contents of the Daily Sun report and place them side by side with the facts on record.

1. In its screaming headlines, the newspaper proclaimed that “Senate targets Osibanjo, Fashola, others over multimillion dollar power deal.”
Fact: Senate has not said or implied that it was targeting anybody. None of the Senators present at the session mentioned anything suggestive of such targeting. One cannot but wonder where the Sun got its conspiracy theory from.

2. The Daily Sun reports that “Vice President Yemi Osibanjo, Babatunde Fashola and others who were part of the team are believed to have erroneously signed an agreement that was not in favour of Nigeria.”
Fact: Neither Vice President Osinbajo nor Mr. Fashola signed any such agreement. They were not even in office when the Azura agreements were signed. Records show that the Power Purchase Agreement or PPA for the transaction in question was signed on April 22, 2013, during the tenure of the then President Goodluck Jonathan (see below first page of agreement with date shown, as well as the signature page).

It must also be pointed out that the Take or Pay Clause in the Power Purchase Agreement, which obliges Government to pay for power declared available by the company, whether or not it is taken by the Government-owned Transmission Company, is fairly standard, especially where, as in this case, the plant is a huge one requiring enormous set up cost.

3. The Daily Sun went further to say, “The Presidential Power Reform Transaction, which was headed by Osibanjo when the deal was struck obligated Nigeria to pay between $30 million and $33 million monthly to Azura for power for powers generated, even if not “dispatched.”

Fact: Again, this is completely false. Osinbajo was not even in office when the agreement was signed, as far back as in April 2013. The clause which talks about monthly pay is called a ‘Take or Pay Clause’, and in fairness to the government that signed it, that clause is quite typical in Power Purchase transactions. Nobody would build a power plant, which is a very costly and capital intensive venture, and no lender would put money in one, unless someone had committed to pay for the power. At any rate, much of that monthly payment goes straight to Nigeria Gas Company, Nigerian National Petroleum Company and other gas suppliers who make the power generation possible in the first place.
In Nigeria, the company that takes power from electricity Generating Companies is the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Company or NBET for short, which happens to be 100% government owned, hence the commitment to pay for the power was made by the Nigerian Government. It is NBET that buys power from generating companies like Azura and sells to distribution companies. In 2013 when the deal was struck, it clearly appeared to be a good deal for Nigeria, which was desperate for power and feverishly seeking the establishment of power plants.

No one quite envisaged the current situation where electricity generating companies are kept idle because when power is produced, the Transmission Company may not be able to wheel the electricity fully for distribution to customers. It is no longer news that even when the electric power is made available for distribution, the Distribution Companies (DISCOs) at times reject it because they have failed to improve their networks and to meter their customers. The fear of the DISCOs is that they might be unable to deliver the power to customers or to collect tariff. On their part, Customers are reticent to pay because service is appalling and most of them feel cheated by estimated billing.

It should be noted also that payments made to Azura is by no means all for nothing. Azura’s over 80% of Azura’s power is currently being transmitted and distributed, while the rest is being used by the Transmission Company of Nigeria to stabilize the National grid.

4. “Part of the deal the Federal Government had during the power sector reforms was that the investors will have the legitimacy to pull about $1.2 billion from the country’s foreign reserve.”
Fact: No investor can just pull out $1.2 billion or any amount from Nigeria’s foreign reserve like that. There was a Put/Call Agreement signed with Azura as far back as October 22, 2014, whereby Nigeria reserved the option to buy over the assets or the company to give up the assets and seek payment, if Azura defaults (see below first page of agreement with date shown, as well as the signature page). However, the amount to be paid can only be determined when the option is exercised and nobody can simply pull out money from our foreign reserves just like that.
With the agreement having been signed before the inception of this administration, the questions one may ask are “who profits from claiming that it was done by Osinbajo and Fashola? What is the motive behind this mischievous falsehood? And in their desperation to attack these gentlemen, why are they willing to rubbish a company that produces nearly a tenth of our nation’s power with such uncommon transparency and professionalism?

The Pitch: UNDP Economic Adviser, Nigeria SDGs Boss, ANISZA foundation curator, speaks on climate Change

The Covid-19 pandemic can seem overwhelming owing to its sheer global disruption; so can climate change. Amid the horror and uncertainty of a global health crisis it can be easy to forget that another worldwide disaster is unfolding, although much more slowly. These were excerpts from 'The Pitch' as dignitaries converge to discuss climate change.

The Founder and Curator of ANISZA Foundation, Novo Isioro, on Friday, made a "Call for Action" on the impact of climate change on the achievement of peace, when she spoke at 'The Pitch' virtual event hosted by Solution17 for SDGs, Center 17 finalists on climate action enterprises with the theme "the global movement against climate crises in Nigeria".

Other keynote speakers at the online lecture were the Senior Special Assistant SSA to President Muhammadu Buhari on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), HE Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire and the Senior Economic Adviser to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Dr. Amarakoon Bandara.

Isioro, the first female Nigeria's Presidential Documentary Photographer, decried the level of "deafening silence' by leaders and emerging leader of Countries, urging them to encourage strategies towards restoring long term peace due to the economic reliance of almost 70million people on their well being.

She noted that there is need for youths to take up the challenges, Isioro added that: "young people of Nigeria like the 17 finalists on Climate Action, with great innovations must always address problems from root causes, as this is the only way for a lasting solution and sustainable peace and development in our lands".

If adequate measures are not taken against climate crises, "the tension in the Nigeria, African sub region would persist.", she opined.

Celebrities / From France To Nigeria, Versatile C-mi About To Shake Tables by Kakaakinews: 5:47pm On Jun 25, 2020
C-mi (pronounced C.M.I), Adegoke Adesimisola Alice is a Nigerian born, France based artist poised to take the Nigerian and French scene by storm. Born on December 27, 1988, her musical talent began at the age of nine when she began to write and compose while leading the children choir in church.

She started recording in 2002 with the notable influence of Mex Ossai who thought her the rudiments of rhyming.

In 2011, her dexterity won her the Bitbender’s freestyle Friday competition in Lagos, Nigeria where she got the beat for her first official single NANI produced by Sleekamo. She relocated to Malaysia in May 2011 where she officially released her first single NANI (featuring Tupengo) and joined the A2 Brothaz now known as FEENIX EMPIRE. That same year, she won the Best Female Artiste for ASAM Awards Malaysia.

C-mi has performed many shows alongside prominent Nigerian artists like 2 Baba, Terry G, Kelly Handsome, Morachi, Reekado Banks, CDQ and Skiibii in Nigeria and on their Europe tours. She relocated to Paris, France in January 2012 and took a break from performing to focus on song writing and composing. She eventually made a COME BACK with her hit single ‘HIGH’ produced by Gospelondebeats in December 2018, She terms this a prophetic feel good song.

Her latest single currently making wave is titled, I Can’t Breathe Mama, a song dedicated to George Floyd and the Black Lives Matters protest. She is currently working on her EP set to be released later 2020.

Who is C-Mi?

C-Mi is a versatile artist, i am all about positivity and I give positive vibes.

What really do you want to achieve with your music?

I want to give people hope through my music, i want to motivate people to believe in themselves and live the life of their dreams.

Apart from music, do you have any other passion?

Absolutely, I am very passionate about photography, event planning and decorations and i am an intentional parent.

You rap and you sing, but which would you rather be called; a rapper or an Rnb singer?

I do both well, the more reason i like to be referred to as a versatile artist because i am also a songwriter, composer, lyricist and i record most of songs myself in my home studio so i can also pass for an amateur studio engineer, lol…

Nigerian music industry maybe particularly the rap seems to be male dominated, how do you feel as a lady coping in this industry?

Honestly, it is very challenging being a female artist let alone a rapper. I have had a lot of people tell me to change my sound just to be accepted but then i know that my music cannot be accepted by all and this has somehow helped me cope with a lot of rejections. Sadly i have even had people i did business with undermine my efforts, but it’s all a part of the process. I just keep my head up and keep moving no matter what and i truly hope that other artists and creatives learn to appreciate the efforts of everyone trying their best to push themselves to the fore front for the culture and do what they can to make their journey a little easier…

About your latest single, I can’t breathe Mama, and before then you did something for COVID-19, can we call you an activist?

I never realized I had it in me; music has taken me in that direction. I get my inspiration from God so wherever he leads, I follow…

Versatile C-Mi has worked with some of Nigeria's finest artistes including 2 Baba, Terry G and Reekado Banks
Versatile C-Mi has worked with some of Nigeria’s finest artistes including 2 Baba, Terry G and Reekado Banks
Apart from music activism, is there any other way you try to make an impact on these concerns?

Yes, i have individual discussions. I am affiliated with an association in France where I encourage young people to be an agent of change. I even encourage parents to give their children the right orientation because I believe majority of the problems we have in the world starts from families. If we can teach our children and ourselves better, we can treat ourselves better. One individual at a time, the change we need starts with you and I. Love always wins.

What event would you consider your greatest moment ever yet in the music scene?

Oh, I can think of a lot right now but the one that stood out the most for me was when a woman approached me after my performance at an International women’s day event in the city of Troyes, France and she was literally in tears and she held me and said my Music touched the depth of her soul. The amazing thing is that she couldn’t even understand the lyrics but somehow, it spoke to her. It made gave me the affirmation more than ever before that this is what i was born to do!

Which Nigerian artists do you look forward to collaborating with soon?

Davido, Tiwa Savage and Simi

Been a Nigerian in diaspora how do you plan and strategy to communicate with and influence the grassroots Nigeria?

As an independent artist, it is quite challenging but i do the best i can. I have a team I work with in Nigeria; I make it a point of duty to stay connected with people back home. I have my songs playing on the radio, my video showing on TV, and i connect with my fans via social media. I am also planning a trip to Nigeria soon.

Keedron Bryant: Warner Records signs black protest singer, 12
How do you unwind?

Sometimes i just chill and watch a movie, read a book and listen to music or hangout with friends.

As a Nigerian who is well travelled what do you think about the current situation of Nigeria, and the Nigerian youth?

There is no need to sugar coat anything; the truth is i am not pleased or happy about the situation of things back home. The Nigerian people deserve better. We wonder when the change we have always hoped and prayed for even as little children would come. The government needs to treat the people better, if they can work on some basic amenities such as electricity, good schools, good roads and transportation. Life would be easier and more productive for an average Nigerian. The Nigerian youths are the most hardworking youths that I know of. Even in the terrible situations we find ourselves born into, we always find a way to make something out of our lives. If you can survive in Nigeria, you can survive anywhere in the world. I was speaking with my younger sister the other day and i just said being alive alone in Nigeria is a struggle.

Dream Big, work hard. Don’t be discouraged by your current situation, everything gets better with time. You will make it! All you have to do is BELIEVE!

What advice do you have for the Nigerian youths?

Dream Big, work hard. Don’t be discouraged by your current situation, everything gets better with time. You will make it! All you have to do is BELIEVE!

Politics / Osinbajo Compensate Wives Of Late Military Men by Kakaakinews: 3:35pm On Jun 20, 2020
Quietly and without making noise about it Professor Yemi Osinbajo , the Vice President continues to search out the wives of soldiers killed on the frontline in the North East and offering them assistance to stand on their feet again. I know he will not like me doing this but I chose to take the risk of doing so without his permission.

Yesterday I and Toyosi, Special Assitant on Community Engagement delivered help to three widows of fallen heroes. These are young women who are widows left behind by young officers killed at the war front .

Their lives have been shattered with little or no hope. Their husbands left them with children to take care of and responsibilities to meet. Methodically we are searching them out, visiting them in their homes and offering them lifeline by way of employment, retraining and empowerment to start a trade or learning one.

May the labour of our heroes past not be in vain.

Politics / Nnamdi Kanu Suffering From Acute Schizophrenia – Doctors by Kakaakinews: 10:08pm On Jun 14, 2020
Some Nigerian doctors have explained that leader of proscribed IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu is suffering from acute schizophrenia reason why he cannot maintain a line of thought.

According to renowned Nigerian doctor, Emeka Chikwe Jr of the University of Ibadan, said it is unfortunate that many Nigerians listen and act on the speeches of a very stable man, warning that, it is time they snap themselves back to reality.

He explained that schizophrenia is a long-term mental disorder of a type involving a breakdown in the relation between thought, emotion, and behaviour, leading to faulty perception, inappropriate actions and feelings, withdrawal from reality and personal relationships into fantasy and delusion, and a sense of mental fragmentation.

“The signs are there, he checks all the boxes and should be advised to submit himself for rigourous testing,” Dr Chikwe said.

He stated that some of the signs that shows a disconnect between the thought, emotion, and behaviour of Kanu is that he could say President Buhari is dead in one sentence and he the next he says he has been cloned.

“These allegations and accusations defy logic, reasoning and most importantly science. He makes up stories as they come to his head and cannot dwell on any subject for long.

Nigeria psychologist, Dr O. S. Peter of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) also described Kanu as someone of unstable behaviour, noting that, his state of mind prevents normal perception, behaviour, or social interaction.

Dr Peter who majors in human behaviour says the IPOB leader exhibits these signs and it shows he is seriously mentally ill, adding that, the symptoms of mental disorders found in Kanu are strong feelings of anger.

Peter said Kanu is always expressing extreme anger, like burning Nigeria, killing Nigerians, destroying Nigeria and even leaders of South East/South, stressing that these traits are similar to those found in Jim Jones, the infamous American preacher and faith healer turned cult leader who conspired with his inner circle to direct a mass murder-suicide of his followers in Jonestown, Guyana.

The renowned psychologist said Kanu’s continuous description of Nigeria as a zoo is another trait of insanity, saying that Kanu instigating his supporters to beat up and disgrace politicians of Igbo extraction when they travel abroad, as in the case of former Senator Ike Ekweremadu, shows a strong trait of insanity.

Peter said delusions or hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not really there) are other signs of insanity. When he says things like the VP was forcefully injected COVID-19 or that the VP and Femi Adesina were kidnapped or under house arrest or that Aso is empty, these are signs of insanity because they are a fabrication of his imagination,” he said.

Politics / COVID19: How We Are Using Technology To Run Govt By Presidential Spokesperson by Kakaakinews: 2:05pm On May 29, 2020
*Nobody in VP office was sacked by President, & no one lost salary even for one day

The Spokesman to the Vice-President, Mr. Laolu Akande, on Thursday, assured Nigerians that the President Muhammadu Buhari led administration is keen on interacting with the people on daily basis, stressing that the government is here to serve.

Speaking during an interactive radio programme, 'Have your Say' which holds every Thursdays on Radio Nigeria nationwide broadcast, Akande said that the live broadcast which features ministers and top government functionaries is one of the platforms put in place to ensure that Nigerians have their say and also get feedback on issues raised.

A caller to the programme, Mallam Alhassan Jibril, who had earlier complained about the distribution of palliatives in the Federal Capital Territory on air called again to attest to the response of government on the matter.

During an interview with a correspondent of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), he confirmed that he received a call from the Honourable minister of the FCT, Ramatu Aliyu, and he was given some palliative to share to his immediate environment.

He said he subsequently shared images of the palliatives with the Senior Special Adviser as proof that he received it and shared to others.

Speaking during the programme today, Mr. Akande informed Nigerians that both the President and the Vice-President have not been seen in the public gatherings because of the implications of the pandemic, but they have continuously worked from their offices and held virtual meetings because governance cannot stop irrespective of the social distancing.

"The Vice President in the last two weeks has attended about four virtual events.

"We are making the events public show, because the people are important and this government is keen on interacting with the people on daily basis," Akande added

The Presidential spokesperson also clarified the rumored sack of staffs in the office of the Vice - President as false.

"Nobody in the office of the Vice - President was sacked. There was just a mix up."

"And immediately the President returned the first thing he clarified was that nobody was sacked in the office of the vice-president."

He noted that "everyone continued to receive their salaries and kept their jobs".

Speaking on the plans of the government to ensure economic growth, the VP's spokesman explained that the federal agencies have been encouraged interface with MSMEs in a manner that will be easier for them to be partners in progress.

Adjudging the first virtual press conference with the National Economic Council (NEC) led by the Vice-President, Mr. Akande said the NEC has official mechanism to handle the COVID -19 response and they are working closing with the federal government to ensure a good synergy.

On reopening of the economy, Mr Akande explained that, "We will insist that all the precautions are in place because safety comes first.

Politics / Vice President Osinbajo And His Relationship With The Nigerian Child by Kakaakinews: 3:05pm On May 27, 2020
By Brightest Okuta

One beautiful aspect of the personal life of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is that he loves children and enjoys their company.

Children love him too and his presence around them ignites a sudden happiness that is so unusual because of the spontaneity.

As a clergy and the number two citizen of the country, he is a proud father (and friend) to all children in Nigeria and he has demonstrated this responsibility on countless occasions he had to meet children wherever he goes about his official duties.

He believes children are the most valuable resource and the living messages we send to a time we will not see.

During his visits to various schools to supervise the National Home Grown School Feeding Program, the Vice President demonstrated fatherly love to school children he met by one-on-one interaction about their future ambition, eating with them, making jokes, playing games, teaching them some subjects, reading together and taking photos.

This has made child advocates liken him to Grandpa Joe, a fictitious character in Roald Dahl's children's book, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory."

During the 63rd birthday of the Vice President, a secondary school student - a friend of the VP, Damilola Oriowo, who had jumped over a fence to meet the Vice President during the 2019 electioneering campaigns in Kubwa, Abuja was invited to attend Church service with the VP and other dignitaries.

From distance, the charisma of the Vice President attracted the teenage girl who became so eager to meet with the star boy.

The Vice President believes children are the pathway to a greater tomorrow and that is why he advocates for the need to groom children in character and education because the greatest legacy one can pass on to one's children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one's life, but rather a legacy of character, education and faith.

It is a beautiful thing to see that despite the herculean job of the VP, he still creates time for children.

Politics / IPOB Deflecting Attention From Nnamdi Kanu’s Death by Kakaakinews: 3:53pm On May 24, 2020
It is a known fact that Nnamdi Kanu is dead, he died four weeks ago from coronavirus according to Italian newspaper, il Giornale, displaying on its front page a standing picture of the “late” IPOB leader under a headline, “Leader Di IPOB Nnamdi Kanu Morto Di Coronavirus.”

Since then IPOB members have attempted to cover-up his death by deflecting attention from their late leader.

In a desperate attempt to cover up his death, an IPOB member has been tasked to ask Where is Buhari, Where is Osinbajo, etc because they want to divert the attention of the unsuspecting public away from the death of Nnamdi Kanu.

In another desperate attempt, they are using the ‘Celebrity Voice Changer’ app to hold his weekly Facebook live sessions to the foolery of his followers. The person posing as Nnamdi Kanu has failed to show his face for four weeks although the voice sounds like that of the late IPOB leader because of the application.

While this is ongoing, they are in desperate search for a Nnamdi Kanu lookalike with a Mbami from Gabon the closest person they have found, unfortunately Mbami has no mark on his face while the late Kanu has a small tribal mark to the left side of his face.

Those who have demanded that the Nnamdi Kanu on Facebook show his face have been insulted by his minions, in small cases they delete their comments and block them from further engaging with his page.

The people behind the charade fear that if IPOB followers know the truth, then the funding will stop and the quest for a republic will never happen, so they continue to live in denial.

Another attempt by these people is to continue to attack Nigeria is describing it as a zoo. But what baffles most Nigerians is that fact that these people claim not to be Nigerians yet they bother themselves and worry about the affairs of Nigerians than Nigerians themselves.

They even say they are asking Where is Osinbajo for their Yoruba brothers but how can Yorubas be their brothers when they are not Nigerians? They insult Fulanis too but again why worry yourself about Fulanis when you are not a Nigerian?

The truth is bitter but it cures. Nnamdi Kanu is dead and it is better that agitators open their minds to the reality.

Politics / Deranged Nnamdi Kanu Seriously Seeking Attention by Kakaakinews: 1:39pm On May 23, 2020
WhatsApp has a way of putting you in contact with contents that you should ordinarily have nothing to do with.

So came this voice note from Nnamdi Kanu's live broadcast on Facebook. Let me put it this way, I was unfortunate to listen to the voice note.

It sounded like the rantings of a mad man. He was not coherent and could not maintain a line of thought for long. He jumped from one story to the next without facts or figures.

It was the most direction-less, pathetic voice note I have had. Even the 5G conspiracy theory that was nauseating enough to make any sane man puke looked like child's play.

He rambled from insulting the Oba of Benin to insulting the entire South South region. He also rewrote their history, saying only a fool will say there is such a thing as Niger Delta or South South. For a minute, I wished the Niger Delta Militants were still in active service to wipe him out.

He then went on to claim that the President was dead and that his wife, First Lady Aisha Buhari has been passed on from one man to another.

He said the Vice President was missing and that the ancient Benin City in Edo State was gone.

He claimed El-Rufai was the mastermind behind the invasion of Benin City aided by Africa's richest man, Aliko Dangote. He cursed Igbos who attended churches with Yoruba pastors, prescribing Pastor Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere popularly known as Odumeje or Indaboski as the only God sent prophet.

He cursed the Oba of Benin, a whole Oba of Benin who other Obas reverence, he claimed he was only after protecting his throne at the detriment of the people. He charged his proscribed IPOB followers to get on social media massively and invade the space.

His thoughts were nothing than that of a deranged fellow. At the end of the broadcast, which was nothing but a charade, I came to the conclusion that he was seriously seeking attention.

Unfortunately, the Nigerian government has failed to give him any. Deranged people thrive when they get audience, when they think people are listening to them.

As for Kanu, the government should allow him his space on social media. If he were to be in Nigeria today, he cannot even win a representative slot talk more of the governorship election in Abia.

In conclusion he is a rabid dog and should be treated as such. Ignorance is always the best answer for a fool.

Politics / US Based Nigerians Commend Buhari Over New COS by Kakaakinews: 10:06am On May 19, 2020
Prominent Nigerians based in the United States have commended President Muhammadu Buhari over the appointment of Professor Ibrahim Gambari as his new Chief of Staff.

Some of them described Gambari as a world citizen who have impacted Nigeria and many countries across Africa and the world.

They said he has been an inspiration, support, guidance, and encouragement to many Nigerians especially in the United States.

Commenting on his appointment, Dr. Baba Adam, former US leader of Pro National Conference Organisations, PRONACO and one of Nigeria's most prominent citizens in the US said Gambari is the right person for the job.

“I truly believe that HE Prof. Gambari, CFR is the right leader to assist the Buhari-Osinbajo administration in these challenging times to leave a truly lasting legacy in the next few years,” he said.

The Borno state citizen who was a former chairman of Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) recalled how he first met with Prof. Gambari. “Many years ago, my uncle Alhaji Ahmed Talib, KBE of blessed memory directed me to visit Prof. Gambari and from then onward through the years - he has provided me with inspiration, support, guidance, and encouragement,” he said.

Similarly, New York-based, Dele Alade lauded the appointment of Gambari. He said he is confident that Prof Gambari will provide a distinguished and untainted service.

“Our congratulations to Professor Ibrahim Gambari. The appointment of Prof Gambari is one of the best made so far by the President. We have always seen Prof Gambari as one of us and a mentor here in the United States though he is a world citizen.

“We trust that Prof Gambari will provide a distinguished and untainted service to the President and to the people of Nigeria especially in these difficult times,” he said.

Mr Alade reckoned that his influence in the global space will be beneficial to Nigeria. “We have to revolutionize governance in Nigeria which should be geared towards rapid development of the country.

He then advised on the way forward. “Nigerian experts in the Diaspora should be mobilized to join the ones at home to achieve this as quickly as possible. Our fate and future should not be in the hands of the Chinese or any foreign country.

“In this age, there is no expertise that these foreigners have that we don’t have among the Nigerians in the Diaspora. We wish Professor Gambari a great success and a great legacy in this assignment,” he said.

On Wednesday, President Buhari announced the appointment of Prof Gambari as successor to Mallam Abba Kyari who died after battling coronavirus.

Hajia Fatima Buhari described the appointment of Prof. Gambari as one of the very best. “By far, of all appointments this is one of the very best appoints he has done since the beginning of this administration and also bridges to the President's legacy initiatives.

She added that Nigerians know the myriad of challenges facing country today, stressing that, many of the solutions extend beyond our borders.
“For example, the urgent need to reaching out to the self-destructing ego-centric leaders of Saudi and Russia - so that price of crude can be stabilized as the nation tries to diversify the economy. There is no one inside or outside Nigeria today who is as prepared as HE Prof. Gambari, CFR to assist the President for this and other very delicate matters,” she said.

This time, the Pharmacist turn journalist claimed that Nigeria's Vice - President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, is hale and healthy as against the guesswork of the IPOB.

It could be recalled, that Kanu in a Facebook post maintained his earlier claim that Osinbajo had been forcibly infected with Coronavirus and in critical condition.

Kanu had earlier claimed that Osinbajo was critically ill.

On her Instagram Page, Kemi Olunloyo said: "One high ranking government official has just recovered from #CoronaVirus. So high ranking and never announced. I am so glad that member of our government survived it and is currently boosting his immune system.

"The old man needs all the help he can get. Get well soon sir.

Refuting the claims of Nnamdi Kanu, she added: "And no for you IPOB fools guessing, it's not @profosinbajo".

Politics / Why Psychologist Says Nnamdi Kanu Is Insane by Kakaakinews: 5:12pm On May 14, 2020
Why psychologist says Nnamdi Kanu is insane

A psychologist with major in human behaviour has reckoned that Nnmadi Kanu, the proscribed leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) is insane and that he requires help quickly.

Mr Peter O. S. of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) says a person is described as insane if the person is in a state of mind which prevents normal perception, behaviour, or social interaction.

He says Kanu exhibits this signs and it shows he is seriously mentally ill.

Analysing Kanu, he said the symptoms of mental disorders found in Kanu are strong feelings of anger. He says he is always expressing extreme anger, like burning Nigeria, killing Nigerians, destroying Nigeria and even leaders of South East/South.

He says these traits are similar to those found in Jim Jones, the infamous American preacher and faith healer turned cult leader who conspired with his inner circle to direct a mass murder-suicide of his followers in Jonestown, Guyana.

He said Kanu’s continuous description of Nigeria as a zoo is another trait of insanity.

He said instigating his supporters to beat up and disgrace politicians of Igbo extraction when they travel abroad, as in the case of former Senator Ike Ekweremadu, shows a strong trait of insanity.

The renowned psychologist said delusions or hallucinations (seeing or hearing things that are not really there) are other signs of insanity.

“When he says things like the VP was forcefully Injected COVID19 or that the VP and Femi Adesina were kidnapped or under house arrest or that Aso is empty, these are signs of insanity because they are a fabrication of his imagination.

Mr Peter adds that the denial of obvious issues like denying Igbos are Nigerians or assuming Igbos are Israelites or Jews and denying southeast politicians and leaders are not the major problem of the region are some signs of his insanity.

He added that it is unfortunate that there are people who think he speaks the truth because like Jim Jones, he will lead them all to destruction.

Mr Peter then explained that another trait of insanity found in Kanu is confused thinking. “Kanu is confused in his perception and thinking, for example he has raised this view about the President of Nigeria, Jibril of Sudan, Buhari is a clone, Buhari using silicon mask or that Buhari is doppelganger”.

“If Kanu submits himself for further examination it is possible that we find more traits of insanity in him. From the above, I have been able to establish that he has delusions, hallucinations, strong feelings of anger, denial of obvious issues and confused thinking but there could be more.

Politics / Nnamdi Kanu Is Using Biafra To Scam Gullible Igbos - Gov Umahi by Kakaakinews: 11:00am On May 13, 2020
The Governor of Ebony State, David Umahi says the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu is a deceiver.

According to the Governor, Nnamdi Kanu is using his Biafra cause to defraud gullible Igbo people.

He said, “Our people are being deceived to spend huge among of money to finance what they know nothing about while Nnamdi Kanu spend it on his personal issues.”

He said Kanu has resorted to using cheap lies and blackmails against his government on social media to gain the empathy from some Igbos, asking the public to disregard such information.

The Governor said he had to respond to the IPOB leader so as to let the public know his new antics, and be wary of him.

He said IPOB is acting like a dying horse, having now realised that their fraudulent activities in the name of IPOB have been exposed and that Kanu is being used to destabilise Ndigbo by deceiving people into believing that he can give them Biafra.”

Politics / Again, Nnamdi Kanu Failed To Prove He Is Alive by Kakaakinews: 2:18pm On May 11, 2020
Following the controversies surrounding the death of the acclaimed Biafra leader, Nnamdi Kanu, he has failed to prove that he is alive, after a live Facebook broadcast yesterday, experts claims.

According to a Russian based new media expert, Emeka Chibuike, the technical teams managing the broad of a supposed Nnamdi Kanu didn't just doctor the broadcast but they equally deleted all posts requesting for the validity of the broadcast in line with Italian newspaper report, il-Giornale.

Il-Giornale front page had a standing picture of the “late” IPOB leader under a headline, “Leader Di IPOB Nnamdi Kanu Morto Di Coronavirus”, meaning “Leader of IPOB Nnamdi Kanu died of Corona Virus”.

According to Chibuike, "Nnamdi Kanu's double did a Facebook live yesterday, and to worsen the situation, all comments and request to confirm it was Kanu was deleted and the facebook users blocked".

Also, the Peace Accord Forum (PAF) – a coalition group in a statement published by The Nation had declared that the IPOB leader was dead and buried.

The statement reads: “The delusional mind of Nnamdi Kanu’s impostor or whoever uses his social media accounts in recent days seems to be on overdrive gear.

We appeal to gullible minds to seek light or remain in IPOB darkness and captivity forever.

PAF insisted IPOB’s many attempts “to prove to the world that their so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is not dead have been futile, hence, the verbal attacks on anyone and everyone”.

Aside the struggle to sustain the image of Kanu, the IPOB have also resorted to attacks on Nigerian top functionaries including the Vice - President, Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, who have been holding video-conferencing in place of physical meeting to beat the Corona Virus Pandemic.

Politics / Nnamdi Kanu: A Misguided Thought With Gullible Followers. by Kakaakinews: 2:10pm On May 11, 2020
The Director of Radio Biafra and the leader of indigenous people of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu on, Sunday 10th May, addressed his followers via Facebook live broadcast in a desperate attempt to reassure his followers he was alive.

It would be recalled that the Peace Accord Forum (PAF) – a coalition group in a statement published by The Nation had declared that the IPOB leader was dead and buried.

A lot of questions have been raised on various social media channels whether the current leader of IPOB is the real one or an impostor. While his congregation of followers are certain their leader is very much alive, a critical mass of people especially on social media have been demanding a proof of life.

Along the spectrum of the psychotic disorder that the issue has generated on social media, listening to Nnamdi Kanu on the Facebook live chat on Sunday evening was a lot I couldn't handle.

The intensity of his craziness and ignorance at which he was communicating to his congregation is unrivalled.

Many of his nauseating remarks centered on the rumoured vacuum of power at Aso Rock.

The subjection and repression of V.P Osinbajo in office. The ridiculous claim that Aisha Buhari is in charge of governance and a lot more. This, however is a proof that Nnamdi Kanu or whoever is body double, is someone nobody should take serious.

As as person, it was really a comic way to end a weekend as I was left wondering the kind of the breed of Humans that form the majority of his congregation.

It is therefore not surprising that during the live broadcast, Nnamdi Kanu, in reacting to some of the messages from his followers that had demanded a proof of his identity as the true leader of the movement was asked to clear the air on news that had filtered the social media concerning his demise, and his body double claim.

His ego was bruised. He quickly resorted into childish display of deleting chats, comments and messages that challenged his identity. He had absolutely nothing to say. He was cornered, exposed and embarrassed.

Proverbs 26:24-26 says: "Enemies disguise themselves with their lips, but in their hearts they harbor deceit.

Though their speech is charming, do not believe them, for seven abominations fill their hearts.

Their malice may be concealed by deception, but their wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.
