I wouldn't give too much meaning to what a praise singing journalist has written, may be if he was quoting a high ranking Oando official. He's probably just written his understanding of the situation and nothing more. For example the official narrative is that minority shareholder's have sued OODP to buy out minority shareholders, but reading his article you'd think it was initiated by OODP themselves. so inaccuracy in understanding the situation thats all, i wouldnt insinuate anything from this. Btw i own oando bought t an average of 4.40 naira and dont plan on selling until the clouds over this buy out scheme are cleared.

Yes o We cant thank @onegentleguy enough for this (GSK). I personally bought over 2 million units at an average price 0f 6.40, i commend myself also for been patient and holding on for over 18months. Discipline is key sometimes in this stock's world. Cant wait to see what the offer will be for GSK. The excitement today might be hinting some announcement might be around the conrner.

Also make i use this opportunity to thank @currentprice and Madam @Mcy also for pointing out DangSugar. You guys are too much

They stopped accepting Nigeria as a country of residence a long time ago. Your best bet now is Passfolio. Other options are: Chaka and Trove.

Don't Sell your UACN.
If to say you have much fund or asked before now, someone like me would have told you to buy more at cheaper price to average down your cost price.
This UACN relief is long overdue.
Like it was said here before, UACN will be improving going forward......their loss arm has been disposed off, so expect more turnaround from that quarter ......all things been equal.
Many thanks for your fast reponse @yMcy56 yeah N9 was actually after averaging down all i could...bought initially about 3-4 years back @N14 or so...

@Emmasoft already did justice to your inquiry.
Total dividend = N1.20
65kobo normal 2020 fye dividend + 55kobo special dividend (from sale of UAC-PROP arm possibly).
Yeah very well copied. Thank you @ Emmasoft for your clarification there...UACN is a significant part of my portfolio even though entry price is on the high side... about N9. Will keep an eye on events over the next few market days, would you hold or sell? medium term view in mind with current turnaround going on here and Reit shares delcaration @yMcy56 @Emmasoft @ all of our other esteemed experts in the house....cheers

Many thanks for taking your time to respond on this. Much appreciated. i like how you concluded that with follow your instincts, after all my instincts have never failed me so far. you are a great guy!
onegentleguy:
In line with my reply to u above, let me also relate it to this TRANSCORP.
Yes there are surrounding RISK in the coy, which apparently "eats deep into" near term feasible REWARD.
U already mentioned some of those worries/risk like low RECEIVABLES. There's also the worry about weak cash flow position, high LEVERAGE, low AER, low EM and low CGPR.

However, its imperative to consistently seek ways to RELATE the price of an asset to its FVE discounting all worries (attach a % risk premium where necessary) to see if and how feasible REWARD compares to RISK.(again, this is a VALUE INVESTING approach)

Ask urself; How has the race btw RISK and REWARD faired?(MoS from RR peg in view)
Assuming I decide to detach future CF and attach zero growth margin, how will both entities relate to each other?(quest for near term value/return in view)
Finally, how does the drive for VALUE benchmarked against RISK relate to EXPECTED RETURN?

Hint; Can u use a valuation model that can factor in the worries in receivables(low receivable turnover), low Cash position, debt position and all liabilities... but imploys an approach that discounts a % proportion of all lines in lieu of future risk.
Perhaps when u do that, u would see that today's YtD low price of 51k might well be a great bargain irrespective of any and all worries.
That point when RISK makes a mockery of REWARD !!(be the contrarian)
Maybe... just maybe...

cc: @Kaksio and all those who sent me private mails for my view on TRANSCORP.

Disclosure: TRANSCORP is currently not a part of our portfolios. ...just putting out a perspective for those who might wish to consider it in line with their investment objective.
Disclaimer: NOT to be infered to as any sought of recommendation.

My advise? Pls follow ur instinct.

Divide the funds into 3 parts and proceed to allot;
40% in ACCESS and 30% each in UBA and FBNH respectively.

All 3 coys are currently grossly underpriced and should deliver in the near term.

As u win, come back later to show some appreciation.
