Does unilag offer MSc Health Economics? If 'NO', do you think it is possible to carry out my plans as stated in the above thread? Please I need your honest advice, both institutions' forms are on sale now. I need to finalize my decision.

why do u want to stress yourself? well its legal, nothing wrong about it, just let it be 2 diff schools

That's why I said I think. I am not sure. Mr Kalan will throw more light, but the cert. issue wouldn't bother me at all cos even at work people use statement of result in lieu of certificate and that am sure of.
Lastly I think most school believe anyone can forge cert. that's why they prefer to get your transcript directly from the school as evidence that u passed thru the school.

Hi, cert is more important than statement.
you can use statement to apply, but make sure your cert is ready for registration else you forfeit the admission. transcript is needed during registration not application, the stage we are in now is application. hope it helps everyone.

pls Mr khalan the problem am having is one of the requirements for MSc in public health which asks for 3 years health related work experience , am a grad of biochemistry 2:2 grad 2012 done my youth service and I want to do MSc in public health in unilag , av seen some other people on another thread claiming they did public health masters in unilag as a fresh graduate pls how valid is this don't want to be caught off guard

correct, you are eligible, MBA says 3 years exp and fresh corpers do it, same with public health. its just formalities

Msc microbiology is FT only. fees is 90k and runs for 12 months

No you must do pgd. but you can do accounting directly without a pgd

MBA PT = 450K, MBA Executive= N1.8M
Both runs for 2 years. you can pay the fees 4 times, ie each semester

Welcome. Unilag only allows your MBA to be a prerequisite for Msc courses not Doctorate. sorry.

I will appreciate if you could educate me more on the difference between the executive/PT/FT
but i definitely know that i may not attempt the full time because of my job.
Also can you help with course content of each and what make the difference.

there is no diffference in terms of course for MBA its just segmentation to cater to various categories of customers. Trust Unilag.

the diff is in timing and tuition money.

FT manily for jobless and fresh grad = 190k fees and hold mon-fri 8am-2pm duration is 3 semester
PT mainly for working class with some exp= 225k per session- 2 sessions involved. and holds mon-fri 6pm-8pm duration 4 semesters
Exe same as PT but for those who cant make evening class daily, so lectures hold Only on SAturdays 8am-5pm.
Fees is N900K per session, duration is 2 session, total tuition is N1.8m.

same exams, same certificates, different fees and time.

so make your choice. Note In executive you are treated like LBS, with coffee break with snacks, with some special treatment that others dont get. Also, you get to meet alot of BANK TOP shots, Companies CEOs, Directors of multinationals ect, the cost is the dividing factor!

not just the course that will go with it, the real question is what do you want to do? what is your passion or drive? where do you see your career heading, if you cannot answer these questions I cannot suggest anything meaningful.

When you know your destination the vehicle to get there will become clearer and easier to know- where are you going?

Entry Requirements:

(i) Candidates must possess a Bachelor's honours degree in Business Administration, Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering from this University or any other recognized institution.

msc programs are academic in nature and research base, more theoretical and exploratory. Masters In PA is a professional course which is industries based. practical contemporary issues are treated and more relevant for day to day work life.

however, with msc you can further with PHD with masters you cannot. the course content? will sent later.
