Ambjosh:Hello Ambjosh, you are very qualified for MPA, you just required a minimum of 3rd class to read MPA IN Unilag and you have 2:2. Bsc HISTORY is part of the basic courses that can read MPA. MPA is a good compliment to your bsc. NYSC discharge is needed when you want to register for admission. in the place where you are asked for your nysc discharge just upload maybe your callup letter, the exams will be in October so before the result comes out i believe your cert will be ready by then. the full time tuition is 112k |
Lets talk about 2. The Fees associated with the programme I see lots of people drop their admission year in year out, due to improper financial planning. First seek out the correct fees you are to pay for your program. Find out the total fees, the hidden fees, the financial implications. The form fees and what it will take to cross the whole hurdle. the 5 stages are: 1. application 2. examination 3. admission 4. registration 5. lectures each stages has financial implication. Plan for them. Some courses run for 2 sessions, that means if you are paying N100k per session, you will require N200k plus others. You need to put all these into consideration. There is also the need for textbooks, there are other cost like field work, and other tools for science/engineering students. Generally, its cheap for FUll time students compared to part-time students. How do you overcome these? 1. Know your course tuition fees and or hidden fees, ask from current or past students, or ask me 2. Look at your finances- who is sponsoring you? yourself?, your partner? or parents, so that you start preparing them for it. Things are easier if they are budgeted for 3. You too must start making plans for this with your little savings and contributions 4. If your options are very limited - you can do a long term planning towards your education, always believe there is a way out 5. Take action. The more you put off your Masters because of no time, no money or because you want to go to "Havard" time is tickling away. you should do something while you can. All the best as you make your decision. |
rukkyland:Hello rukkyland. you are very qualified for the course. checked here for the past questions http://careerplusonline.net/unilagpostgraduatepastquestionsanswers the transcript is req during admission, dont worry yourself now about that, when the time comes you will know what to do. tuition fees is N75k PT and N60k FT The form will be out May/June 2015. Hope I answered your questions. Take care. |
dejive:Cool Dejive. Msc and MBA are different leagues in Pg path. Msc is great for a professional career path while MBA for managerial. You said you've worked as customer care rep, that may not be heavy as in the career leap you expect with an MBA. Its always advisable you go for MBA after some experience - its better and profitable. In your case, a good MSC that fit your Bsc tailored to your career path is advisable. You can do an MBA later as you progress. There is a 'craze' for MBA now, but many applicants are forgetting the combo effect of degrees and experience. hence the term 'relevant experience' MBA does not make you look good if you have a poor first degree plus lack practical/hands-on experience. Employers will be wary of you, except you studied in an ivy school. I know lots of MBA graduates without jobs or good jobs. The KEY here is the course you chose to study for your M.Sc, if its not complimenting your Bsc/Experience you are off! Not all courses are the same. you need to be strategic in your choice. Make your choice intelligently. All the best, |
The Fees associated with Unilag Pg 2015 programme This is big INFO you should get before deciding to go ahead with your course of study. Many people dropped their admission becos they could not make the fees. Fees ranges from N60k to N2million. you need to find out so you can decide and make plans to get ready for the journey ahead. There are many ad-joint fees you also pay when you get admission apart from the Tuition Fees. Acceptance fees, Dept fees, accommodation fees (not compulsory) and others Let me know if you have issues with your intending course fees? later. |
dejive:Very Qualified for MBA. But like to know why MBA? There should be a reason to make course choices at this stage. it should be strategic or you just gave away that cash and time. Access your career plans AND PATH and then go ahead. all the best. |

QuixPhix:This is the correct position of things. Registration has not STARTED. Go and get your fees and stop the drama!!!. Happy New year Guys, its a dawn of a new day. |
evogue:Registration has not started yet, till next year. |
Registration is still far away, so nobody should fret. just enjoy your Xmas and look for your fees. Many people who did not make it will still be called to take up some vacant positions. Be prepare with your fees. its not over until after matriculation in March. so you can still get admission before than if and only if you scored above 40. Anything is possible. |

Guy be grateful to God and be humble, its not because you are very intelligent, there are thousands who scored below 25, who are more brilliant. so be grateful. many factors worked against many on exams day and more importantly, all fingers are not equal. What worked for one may not work for others. In all Congrats and give thanks. |
QuixPhix:lol |
Dadehmola:Correct. |
The results are generally bad. The option for Unilag is to reduce the cut-off marks. This is so becos they have to meet quota for each dept. Remember for Pg school, they feed off the school fees of students. They did it last year and may repeat same this year. The only worry here is admission runs for second list will cost more as more people will take advantage of the situation to make money. Normally 40% is the least Unilag will take, all those who scored above this point should be very hopeful. I still believe 35% and above should have some hope. we have not heard the last of these results. This is poor and its sad. |
patrickky12:RESULTS Note 2 things need to happen for the results to be released 1. All exams must be finished and marked. Now this exam consists of both PPT and CBT. CBT could be ready in 12/24 hours, but not so for PPT, could take 2-4 weeks. 2. Senate/Pg Board meeting for consideration of Results Before the final results and cut-off marks is fixed, the Pg board comprising of Deans of various Pg dept, will have to meet to consider the results, fixed the cut-off marks and give their approval. These two activity must be done before the result is released. This can take between 2 weeks to 8 weeks, it depends on the Pg school calender. Currently undergrad has started their exams, which will last till Dec 3rd, after that 2 weeks later Pg students will begin theirs. Pg school Normally do not released results. The tried to do that last year and there was a lot of associated issues. ADMISSION Expects 2 admission lists 1. Merit list 2. Supplementary list Merit List This is normally released in November, but this time I believe it will be in December before Xmas. If Result is Released its either: 1. Recommended 2. Not Recommended Recommended means you have passed the admission criteria, both exams and qualification while Not recommended is the opposite. Supplementary list This list consist of the bulk of the admission list about 75% of admitted candidates are in this list. This list comprises of those who could not make the cut-off marks but passed the school min requirement for admission. NOTE: You need to score a Min of 40% to get into this list. Hope this helps. |
benideey:It will not. it will be required during registration. so keep it tight. |
geekybabe:I believe its a big omission that will be rectified today. If not I suggest you prepare for the exams for Nov 1st, since PGD and Msc do their exams same day for any particular dept. The Exam pass should be online today with details, please check and update us. |
SEAme:THEY ARE STILL CBT |

naijainstinct:lol... its democracy my brother. |
babystathopoulos:I must really have offended you, pls biko, what did I do to you to deserve all these insults, pls forgive me. You really seems pained, this is more than Unilag exams OOOO. its seems more personal issue to you. Pls whatever or however it affected you, forgive and forget and lets forge ahead. Ejor pls help me beg this dude, he's sooo pissed, he cant even stand me anymore. On top of wetin sef... so sorry baby stathopoulos , dont take life too hard, its just an exam. see what Unilag Pg has caused now. |
braine:Normally the result should be ready within the purview of insiders within 24 hours. But to the general public lets wait till November after the general exams. But if you have insiders, you can call them to check your scores for you if you did the CBT last saturday. |
Sammyclarinet:Sure, the exams on CBT first day was a mess, Unilag cannot be absorbed from the blame, but students were also apprehensive, i was there and part of all that happened from 10am till 9pm. so I knew what really transpired. Lazy students always want to blame their ill-preparedness on others, as i alway say, past question is a GUIDE to what to expect, it could be same or out of it, but its better to have a guide than not to, or you will read randomly. Many students even after attending tutorial and having the past questions still did not read or expand their reading to topical areas which i was advocating. They opened their books just some few days to the exams. If you give such people 10 hours to write they will still complain. We saw people trying to read few minutes to the exams, someone said he just heard about the exams just some 2 days before that day. People should learn to take control of their lives and stop blaming others for their decision. Same exams, some people are happy with what they did. Paper done on Monday, Tuesday were better organised and some had good story to tell. I had some people who becos of the server issue could not write anything at all. They have right to complain to the Pg school and ask to join the set hat will write on NOV 8th. Please dont blame me if the exams was different from what you were expecting, I am not in the committee that set the exams. The best way to tackle any exam anywhere in the world, is going through the past questions, then use it to further read on Topics, raised in the past questions. For example, someone who have a paper this morning called me last night that he wants past question, how will he pass the exams? not possible. When you are well prepared, even when the examiners deviate from the Norm, you will still find your feet. But there are people if you just changed a number in past question from 24 to 67 and repeat others word for word they are confused, becos they dont understand the principle behind the question. Unilag has never been this poor in examination coordination, The CBT phenomenal is still a new technology they are still trying to grabs the implication, but it better to try and fail than to lag behind and fear to jump I believe the NOV 1ST CBT will be an improvement. Lets hope all ends well. |
Rochero:Saturday was the first day for the exams, so expect so issues, there is no 100% assurance, especially this is the first time they are extending the CBT exams to all of business admin faculty. The dean apologised and i think that was noble. Also, candidates didnt make thing easy, they were rushing and pushing and refuse to just follow simple instruction, hence the disorganization. The Dean said the server had issues, as could not take full capacity, loading time was very slow, so he said, they will run on half capacity, as soon as candidates heard that, they became apprehensive and couple with the rain, the situation went out of hand. Its very unlike Unilag, as I have witness all other exams. From there on Unilag will surely take measures never to repeat such. The hall can carry max of 500 people, but we had more than 5,000 people trying to go in same time. The exams proper: It was more a repetition for the exams, some word for word, others principle repetition. those that didnt prepare well will surely complain, but those that did, had no need to be. The time was fair enough if you know what youre doing, even if some people had 2 hours they will still complain. Moving forward: 1. Go to your center on time - traffic and unforeseen circumstances 2. prepare well for the exams following your past questions format 3. be positive all the best. |
Finally dinner is serve, the d-day has come, may your efforts never be in vain! |
Help help help! i cant find the link to print my exam slip on my page, it only shows link of Print application, payment advice, log out, thats all what should i do please? [/quote You were suppose to print it when the deadline was on. Now you will need to print the application form and advise to take to the exam center and you may still face some delays. you should have done that last week. |
datibo:multiply that number by 5 to get the real number of people that applied. When you get to exams hall you will understand that most people will come and submit their forms on exams day. so dont be deceived Msc Economics is highly competitive especially PT. |
