Religion / Re: Are The Israelis We See Today True Descendants Of The Jews In The Bible?? by kalauta: 7:31pm On Aug 11, 2012
No they are not.

The modern "jew" as we know it are mostly Europeans who converted to Judaism at about A.D.740 Conversion does not change a lineage, ethnicity, bloodline or biological makeup. Today's Israelis are mostly Ashkenazis, Khazars or Sephardims who migrated from Europe and have no biological connections with the ancient Israelis.
The Khazars found themselves in a precarious position between the two major world powers: the Eastern Roman Empire in Byzantium and the moslems. The Khazars chose a surprising method of resisting both the Western pressure to become Christian and the Eastern to adopt Islam. Rejecting both, they converted to Judaism.

This European conversion is what they also brought forward and were able to convince America and England to create a "jewish homeland" for them right in the middle of modern day Palestine in 1948. This "jewish land" in Palestine has strengthened their claim to being "Jewish" even though they have no biological/ethnic connections to the original bloodline of the true Israelite/Jew.

For clarity, a true Jew is a physical AND spiritual descendant of Jacob who's name was changed to Israel according to the scriptures. All physical descendants of the 12 tribes of Israel were bound by one religion called Judaism. The word Judaism was derived from the name Judah (one of the children of Jacob/Israel).

According to the scriptures, strangers could also practice Judaism IF they go through the spiritual conversion.

Think about it this way: A Nigerian can be described as one who falls under these two categories:

(a). A true descendant of Ibos, Yorubas, Edo, Ijaw, etc. They are undoubtedly black people.
(b). A foreigner (e.g a white man) who denounced their country of origin's citizenship and takes an oath/swearing to becoming a Nigerian citizen after following the procedures of attaining citizenship.

The so-called Jews of today fall under category (b) because they converted to Judaism. Using the example I stated above, both the indigenous and the foreigners are both referred to as "Nigerians" but their bloodline, tribes and remains different.

Consider this: The number of Hebrews(Israelites) who arrived Ancient/Black Egypt were 70 according to the Bible. About 400 years later, they departed Africa(Black/Ancient Egypt) with 600,000 men (let's assume they had wives and children, we can guess that at least close to 2million immigrated from Egypt).

There is no record that any Black race ever enslaved any European/white people or nation at any point in time of world history. We can deduce that since Ancient Egypt was black, the Hebrew Israelites were black as well (remember, there is no recorded history of the Black race enslaving white or any other race for that matter). These Hebrew Israelites were the ones that migrated to the land of Canaan where the 10 commandments/laws of Moses were given.

Hebrew and Yiddish are languages spoken by so called modern "Jews" all over the world. Interestingly, Hebrew and Yiddish are very dissimilar even though both languages use the Hebrew alphabets in their scripts. While Hebrew is a Semitic language (subgroup of Afro-Asiatic languages) like Arabic and Amharic, Yiddish is a German dialect which uses many Hebrew words but with a very distinctive Ashkenazic pronunciation. If the original jews were Europeans, they'd speak Hebrew naturally rather than learning it.

If Europeans/Anglo-Saxons were not the descendants of the Hebrew/Israelites that departed from Egypt how is it then possible for Europeans to be bloodline Jews?

mbulela:

I am not just appalled by your ignorance, what drives me nuts is that your have the effontery to call others ignorant.
you support illegality and banditry and have the guts to garnish it with insults.
Are you kidding me??
i have a few questions for you.
If you can answer them, i might be forced to believe that there is redemption for you.
However, i am not holding my breadth.

if Sani Lulu has perfected his script as claimed in the post above, what stops EFCC from bringing him to book?
Does FIFA prohibit criminal investigations?
Why not send EFCC after Lulu and his fellow crooks while allowing them hold their positions from cell, next door to Bode George?
How in God's name does this move solve anything?
In addition to sending EFCC after Lulu, why not just starve NFF of funds (i know they will still have FIFA grants to chop but it will not be enough)?
Why not make an example with Lulu to an extent that loafers will be scared of running for NFF elections?
Do the supporters of this silly move realise that if the impending FIFA ban is lifted in 10 years time, Lulu's board will still be reinstated as a pre -condition for lifting the ban?
by the way, since there is corruption in NASS,should we just disband the national assembly and let Jonathan and his friends make the laws?
Oh! disband the Nigerian police and customs too.

Once you get your head checked, come around and reason toe to toe, I don't meddle with folks who sit on their high horses. It may be better for you to provide some redemption for yourself, you need it more than the rest of us. I don't get into mud fights with pigs, if you know what I mean.
Sports / Re: Jonathan Bans Nigeria From International Football For Two Years by kalauta: 12:43am On Jul 01, 2010
Wow, alot of ignorant folks on this site.

The reasons why the President decided to stay away from football for 2 years is due to the following:
a. With the Nigeria FA quick to play the "FIFA will ban Nigeria if the Government intervenes" game card, it was always going to be impossible to nail these bloody thieves who have amassed mass wealth by destroying the future of Nigerian football. Now that the Government has decided to "ban" itself from FIFA, the sweeping begins and those bloody thieves are going to be locked up and prosecuted for not only the misappropriation of funds, but also the silly games of forcing players that are not good enough on the coaches.

b. With the politician thieves out of the office, a new change will be brought forth that will enable the true football heads who know what the game entails and have the recipe to get Nigerian football back on track before these politicians totally destroy what's left of it.

c. Bring back diligence, discipline and patriotism back into the national team.
d. Create a new foundation and constitution that will ensure these thieving politicians will not smell the FA office again.
e. Stop the influx of these undercover players agents in the FA who refuse to give the real ballers the opportunity to showcase their talents.

Now, if someone still insist that the above examples are not good enough reasons to "ban" the FA from FIFA competitions, then that person need their head re-examined for brain leakage.
Health / Re: Gums Bleeding While Brushing by kalauta: 6:17am On Sep 10, 2009
What you are experiencing is called PERIODENTAL DISEASE. It's simply the slow washing away of the gums which leaves them exposed and easily irritated and sensitive to brushing, hence the bleeding.
Have a dentist take a look at your mouth so as perform a minor surgery that will stop the bleeding and allow your gums to heal and rebuild.
Happened to me about 10 years back but I've been fine since then.
Best of luck.
Religion / Re: Is It Ok To Pay My Tithes To Different Churches? by kalauta: 3:44pm On Aug 20, 2009
Chukwudi44, please don't bother yourself trying to explain the simplicity of giving to these robots who have been programmed to give tithes to a pastor or so called churches. Remember, these last days, the scriptures warned us about those who will not heed to sound doctrines because they have itching ears and will follow those preachers that preaches what they want to hear thereby deceiving them and cleaning out their pockets.

Let them continue to argue blindly and fight to pay a tenth of their income to a mere man who claims to run the "house of God". The scriptures is there for them to study and understand but they won't because they are comfortable listening to their "Pastor" who has twisted the scriptures. How can these "Robot' challenge their Pastors for wrongdoing when they are not smart enough to study what the scriptures says and let the Holy spirit who is the only teacher of truth teach them.

They don't even understand why Christ came in the first place hence they can't understand why the practice of old testament law has become an abomination to God.  They have ears but don't hear; have eyes but can't see. A fool and his money are soon departed. Let them keep giving a 10% of their income to their "Pastors" while their families and neighbors wallow in poverty.

chukwudi44:

Why don't you show me from the scriptures where christians practised tithing after the death and ressurrection of Jesus.

In luke 2 23-24

The law of the Lord says If a woman first child is a boy ,he must be dedicated to the Lord.So they offered a sacrifice according to what was required in the law of the Lord-"either a pair of turtle doves or two young pigeons"

Are you saying we should also continue with this practise ?

It most to be stated that while jesus spoke in luke 43,the law was still valid and so was tithing and burnt offerings.

All this changed with the death and ressurrection of Jesus by his death he abolished the jewish law(heb 7:18,ephe 2:14-15).

It m,ust be statyed that even while tithing was valid it never involved money, neither was it paid weekly, monthly or daily.

iN DEUT 14:22-29

You must set aside a tithe-one tenth of all the crops you harvest each year.bring this tithe to the place the lord your God choses for his name to be honoured and eat it there in his presence.
This applies to the tithes of your grain, new wine, olive oil and firstborn males of your flocks and herds. The purpose of tithing is to teach you always to fear the lord your God.
Now the place the lord your God choses for his name to be honoured might be a long way from home.If so you may sell a tithe portion of you crops and herds and take the money to the place the lord choses for his name to be honoured. When you arrive  use the money to buy anything you want -an ox,a sheep, some wine or beer. Then feast there in the presence of the lord your God and celebrate with your household. And do not forget the levites in your community for they have no inheritance as you do.

At end of every third year bring the titheof all your crops and store it in the nearest town  give it to the levites who have no inheritance among you  as well as the foreigners living among you,the orphans and the widows in your towns so they can eat and be satisfied.

There is no where it was stated that money was to be involved, neither was it to be paid weekly, monthly or daily.

It was simply meant to be paid annually and once in three years

In matt 23:23

Jesus cleary stated that tithing was part of the now obsolete jewish law and even then ,it was not even among then weightier matters of the law

"Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone." (Matthew 23:23

The law has been abolished as the scriptures plainly tells us tithing has gone with the law ,continuing with tithing means that you have cut yourself off from the grace of christ as stated in Galatians 5:4

Career / Re: Is Music The Only Surviving Talent In Nigeria? by kalauta: 3:13pm On Aug 20, 2009
Most sensible post on NairaLand in ages. sad

In spite of millions of man and youth power in Nigeria, we are disappointingly myopic in our dealings. Everyone tends to head in the same direction. At one time everyone was a Doctor, then Lawyer, then 419er, then IT Professional, then Oil worker, then Model and Fashion expert, then Nollywood star, now we all want to be Musicians. A nation that has no direction will always wander about like the children of Israel did for 40 years.

Rather than express our individuality so our nation can be balanced, we all jump into the same frying pan with no one to help us out.

aasog:

Stiyke: You are right, but what things can build a nation?? note also that the nation provides very frustrating environment, and the youths that sing see it as ventures that are most workable or have low chances of failure in this Jungle

There's always a venture. The major needs are there. Education. Health. Shelter. Food. Agriculture. Transportation. Communication. Manufacturing. Power. Finance. Even Spirituality is a great need. And also there's "Inspiration" or counseling. There are several undeveloped sectors within this country that needs intense development. I found my niche which is Engineering & Architecture, and also there's a hobby, and that's writing and music, and I believe I can do better than a great pile of your Nija-super-garbage stars out there. Singing should just be a past-time. Not a national/mass-career like it is now.
Anyways, I am a big Tubaba fan. I love him because he's original. A lot of the bunches in the business are fakes. Even the so called Koko-Master would have been a nobody if not for Don Jazzy whose loud and hypnotic beats he hides his crap and rantings behind. Its because of the likes of him, anyone one who can sing would say, "if a faker like him could make so much money, then I'm in"

And to maedan:

This is such an unfair thing to say. We aren't the happiest people for nothing: with all the bad governance, mismanagement of resources and poor image, Nigerians always find a way to smile - and that's what music does for the youths, it makes them happy and that's why they prefer to go into music than ,

The happiest people? Hmmm I missed that one. Any proof to that? I thought we were the saddest? You should ask the guys in Niger-Delta how happy they are? Or maybe the people who are jumping boarders to only cross into countries like Libya, where they would only get slaughtered and their useless and ineptitude "Head of Scums" and chicken brain senates and reps doesn't give a shit. You forgetting something about Americans music stars. Most of them had their careers since they were kids. Beyonce, Keri Hilson, Britney, Wyclef, and these are natural prodigies. It's such a meaningful and un-abused industry unlike it is here. I am not coming harshly on Nigerian musicians, I am only buttressing the view of the poster. I mean, today in Nigeria, nearly every youth wants to get into music. Even my girlfriend and some of her friends who are fresh graduates are constantly in the studio wasting their time because its not gonna work, not when you spend more than half a decade studying medicine and putting all your hope into some crappy studio mix, hoping it would flush.
All I'm saying, music shouldn't be a desperate means like it is here. Its something that must come naturally and not forced like 9/10th of the irritating garbage you hear nowadays. Or maybe I'm missing something.

You should thank God for not falling for the "Annointing" scam. Stop worrying about what other folks are doing, they've been brainwashed. It happened to me several times before where I'd wonder why I never fell under the "annointing". I later got to understand that the Holy Spirit of God does not require anyone to "fall". Haven't you noticed that the ones that "fell" under the annointing go right back to their sinful ways?
Just let the Holy spirit work it's way in your life and he'll always lift you up not make you "fall".

Excellent idea. Just imagine a 24 hour live tv dedicated to just CCTV. grin

Tha_dude:

I hope police officers arent the ones in the control rooms because they will purge important informations. This can also be used to police a police man especially during their N20 naira accidental discharge. We also need the media to be able to have access to these informations. Infact a special 24hr TV should air in lagos, Security-TV, where citizens can watch, track and report individuals they recognise on screen. Because these criminals are our everyday neighbors and we can identify them even without a data base. This can also be use to police election centers during elections. So that if the PDP attempts to rig it, videos will be aired in the court room as proof, which could lead to cancellation.
