Congratulations! More wins

author=awesomeJ post=139537090]@ositadima2 and everyone else interested, market has been slow for a while now, this means even if I grow my portfolio more, it doesn't entirely translate to more trading volumes.

So I decided to shed some cash and buy my car, maybe perhaps cos you mentioned it too last week when we won the league.

It's a 2019 Rx F-SPORT with CLEAN TITLE. Too many salvage cars in this country.

Financing by Autochek.
Since I make much more than any cost of funds.

Insurance premium on the car is more than ALL my entire portfolio just last year.

God is Awesome! 🎉🎉

Happy Sallah to our Muslim brothers and Sis.
I still but mine is not 10 trades but target 100% per annum.

Achieved in the first year by trading several stocks multiple time. Trades in the first year is more than 5.

I hope we haven't forgotten our challenge here on this thread. Who is still in or una don go chop Una profit and capital? grin

Some of us are having this decisions to make on swap profitable stocks.

I have been thinking of swapping etranzact for caverton or mcnichols or chams.

Your opinion is welcome.

crownprince2017:
You actually see one of the angle I'm thinking from.

I want to depart jaiz with over 400% but access is going up already.. huh huh

Very hard decision right now, may be I should just sell n keep the cash for now since I also see cash as investment and don't have any in my wallet for now.

From section 33(1) of the new tax specifically mentioned gains realised within the year of assessment.

There is no retrospective application of the year. Stock opening from the year of assessment will be used.

[qquote author=awesomeJ post=136931178]For whatever reasons NGX didn't stream the session with Mr Taiwo yesterday.

However, I have good news:

Straight from the official gazette:

1. Our loots are never taxable as long as we reinvest, only the univested portions are chargeable gains.
That's the part relevant to me 😁😁😁

2. The 150m and N10m gains thresholds are there too.
Please give example of Gold ETF
How did you invest in msci China? Is it through NYSE?

Thanks
My goal is to have a $1 million portfolio for generational wealth for my kids, given the uncertainty and currency volatility that plagues the Naira. I strongly believe in hitting this goal by the time my firstborn turns 18. In 2023, I brought the message of the Magnificent 7 stocks to NSEMPA; I was warned about the dangers of investing in the NYSE, how it can humble investors, and how it was overhyped. I remained convinced because no one or institution can do without the Magnificent 7 stocks in countries around the world, directly or indirectly. Anyway, I remained invested during downturns, red days, the Black Monday of August 2024, and the Trump tariff war, and I also invested more. Now, my new investments in the magnificent stocks are pullback-based. The portfolio witnessed a crazy bull run following the explosion in share prices of NVIDIA, META, Apple, SPDR S&P 500, Gold ETF, MSCI China and also AVGO.

Loco, what is your target entry price for ABC?

Locotrader:
NB will reach #60 this year.others in same sector will rise up to 100%+ in a short term.

Bank stocks like Gtb,zenith,UBA will reach 75,60,50 this same year.

Market will still prove you and all of you thinking of selling instead of buying wrong again.

Loco is fully in with fresh funds starting from Chams,ABC,Champion, cileasing and one other insurance stock yet to come to my junction.

This time around, the wind of change will touch these highleletd stocks because they have repositioned for growth and those who hear my call on them will rejoice with me.

I have done this but I can't stil trade on my own. The ap was telling that a from has been sent to my email to fill for direct settlement and they will contact my stockbroker meristem to complete the process. No form was sent to my email.

I still trad eby sending my order to meristem.

4willer:
You can trade using the NASD mobile app. Once you open an NASD account with Meristem, make sure you use your CHN and NASD CSCS# details to set up the mobile app. Once you do that, any trade you make on the NASD app will reflect the next day in your Meristem NASD account. You can't trade using Meristem app but you can trade using the NASD app.

Hope this helps.

You cannot imagine the magnitude of corruption that goes with pegged exchnage rate. Arbitrage was full in action. Whereas those that have genuine requirement for USD did not get it. I was once a victim, I applied in February 2023 through form A for BTA needed in April 2023, nothing was provided. A friend was expelled from a school in UK because the bank pay his school fees after the deadlines.

Whereas exporter was selling at black market rate and getting USD at pegged rate.

The solution is patriorism from all the citizen either politician or elite or even the poor. No system will work in the midst of corruption.
femu:
When its was pegged it wasn't eligible to everyone.

Ideally you need a Form A, M or Q to get it at the official rate

I was suprise by the previous post. UK import most of their foods and fruits - Banana, shrimps, fish, etc. The question how are they defending their currency?

defebe:
They know how to play which game? As at Q3 of 2023, UK had a trade deficit of about £6bn..,meaning they need to borrow more to service most of their trade. The question is how come is is not really affecting the GBP. Note, FDI into the Kingdom is not increasing also.

It is better to be conservative in your estimate and factor risk.

I thought you said best qtr EPS which would have been 1.03 for qtr2 without a caveat.

The volatility of Neimeth has high volatility followed with long stagnancy. In August it reach 2.2 and pull back to 1.6, Last week goes up to 2.45 and pull back to 1.6ish within the week. I have started my exit this morning. Fidson and MB are better with good fundamentals and prospects.

Locotrader:
If they had a good result, by now we should be looking at #5 stock.
The sector is good for one to invest now.
To me Fidson and Mecure can't be going up and leave Neimeth behind.
People inside the bus should search more news about the stock. For result, it is no no no.Financial year end result will also be poor.

Good dividends are mostly in terms of unbroken dividend payment for at least 5 years. Some analyst believe if a company cannot pay the dividend then the fundamentals is not good except for companies categorized as growth company.

AJ8 will still reply. This is a student response.
quote author=robobo post=127264615].

Hello Chief

what would you term a good dividend payment history?
is it only in term of amount? or it is in terms of % of EPS or in terms of comparision to peers in same industry? or in term of years of unbroken payments? or in term of growth to the dividend being paid?

would appreciate if you share

Totalenergies don trap people. The frog and boiling water story comes to mind.[/q

How is that your problem. The same thing was said for MRS and Con Oil, the poster said then "How market MRS and Con Oil People" when both stock rally and have a brief pull back, thereafter the rally sky rocket. Mr Market does it things as Madam mcy use to say.. The rest is history.

I have Total Energy with average price of 155, I am not selling.

Enjoy your day.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by kalkah: 9:32am On Jul 13, 2023
@locodemy, you have done nothing wrong. you warned earlier at the start of the rally that whoever lost money on these stocks is greedy. I hold on to that point.
Now nobody has lost any money in Japaul and cham, so what is the issue. Look at kolaish approach, he entered and leave early, he did the same thing for transacorp. One of my mentor use to say - he did not want to make all the money in the market, his target is 20%, if there is a rally he will start offloading at 40% profit. I entered FTN cocoa at 0.33k, once it pull back to 66k, i exit at 72k without regret. Same at RT briscoe. If you want to ride the rally to its peak then you must constantly monitor the market.

Please because of we your followers please continue to point us stocks to trade.
Thanks
locodemy:
Thank you.
I may not point a stock here again because I have seen that people are always after me.
A stock that delivered almost 400% profit from the day I pointed it yet you are waiting for me to tell you to sell or tell you I will sell.
This morning I saw the strength in the stock(Japaul) and even posted the screenshot to show I am right telling you to hold Japaul.
All of a sudden, a mighty wind came and begin to swallow the bids.If not coolcash who alerted me here,I would have ended up selling at the offer prices.
I still noticed that any Nsempa who didn't sell Japaul at 1.21kobo today is a greedy person because the stock was so liquid at 1.21 till market close.
If you sell at 1.21,is it a crime?
Must you sell at 1.47?
Let's learn to appreciate because no one forces me to point a stock. If I keep it myself, it will still move but I like sharing things in common.
We still have time to learn.Let today be a good day for lesson.
