Ola Johnson: Yoruba hold top posts because they are educated, not just graduates. The gatemen you said are not Yoruba could also be graduate Igbo like the ESUT four. Certificates are bought in some SE universities. If you doubt me visit any NYSC orientation camp when corps member are around.
i laugh at your insincerity! When it is so in your land, you cry foul and tell the whole world how you people happen to be the mose tolerant people in the world and lie that the SS/SE states won't let anybody that is not from the region to hold a meaningful post... My brother come to my church in owerri, we just finished erecting corpers quaters for all serving catholic corpers in owerri which are predominantly yorubas and a few hausas whom a considerable number of them tend to remain here after service as my parish priest helps a lot of them to secure a job here. They serve either or both as alter boys, choir, church wardens and/or lay readers but some of them was recently reduced from the lay reading and guess what? Cuz of their typical oduduwa accent over English. When they want to give you their phone numbers here na wahala to make out what they are saying: cero hate cero (080) sis he lefun sis (6116) tiri hate faif sefun (3857). Dat's my hem ti hen noba... Even Igbo secondary school drop outs can do better than that and yet they are nepotically made customer service attendants in some organizations.

Ola Johnson: until you start reasoning beyond that seed of hatred against the Yoruba planted in you by your leaers who are all almost dead, you will continue to live in that phantom manifest destiny of yours. Blame your current leaders for your woes, not Yoruba. GEJ will be attending the burial of Chinua Achebe; watch it, your five governors will endorse him for 2015. After una go say na una wise pass.
GEJ has performed in 2years, more than OBJ did in 4years yet he rigged his way through second term and even dared 3rd term while u all were arms folded and always gave him your mandate but because GEJ is not Yoruba or one of your slave-masters, you revere and reprimand even good policies of him that is supposed to move the nation forward.
Tell me if the corruption in GEJ government is higher than that of your autocratic kinsman who started his administation with Ikeja bomb blast that killed thousands, kidnapped and killed opponents and human right activists... Crash planes killing every soul on board because he wants to eliminate a single opponent on board. Selected and rigged elections up to LG levels and planted mediocres in public offices all round the country.
Tell me, what was the prize of fuel when OBJ took on the mantle to pilot the affairs of the country and how much was it when he left? Oshomole was molested and beaten severally! Its only on GEJ's administration that you all see bad. Hypocritic tribal fanatics!!
They only place GEJ's admin has failed is in terms of security which your slave-masters are master-minding to further disparage GEj! Shamefully, you people still back them! Amidst all these tribulations, he is still performing more than any president this country has ever had. Go and check his score card for 2years and compare it with OBJ's 8years and then come back here to confess how you have been deluded all these while.

onyewec3: Erant rubbish....so the local govt chairman from ejigbo dat was kidnapped nko? Oh ejigbo is a local govt in enugu! I tink u r de-illusioned because most fight in lagos r always btwn hausa n yoruba(OPC n hausa fight in boundary,ajegunle)....during june 12 saga,do u knw how many hausas were killed in my area by yoruba agberos?u can't have a yoruba getting a post in d eat or north because dey are not much dere.apart frm lagos who have considerable amt of igbos where else in SW(ondo, oyo, ogun, ekiti) can u point out any igbo holdin a position dere? N mind you,I have yoruba prof in my school FUTO, including edo lecturers n deltas too.so cut dat rubbish
don't mind those guys! Lagos we know as the centre of crimes in Nigeria... I'm not holding it against the city cuz that's inherent to all urban cities of any country! New york and LA records the most crime rate in the USA. But my problem is how these cl0wns say its safer than the SE/SS states.
Try to visit any Gloworld outlet in the SE/SS states, you would think you are in one of those primitive ekiti, osun villager with yoruba language all in the air... Every staff is yoruba except the gatemen and cleaners... The top managers of almost all the big establishment is the same, ranging from Nigerian Breweries to salt industries. Every office must contain a yoruba top official and we've lived with it but once they see a successful SS/SE, they all feel like hanging themselves!

payless: Don't mind these the lost souls. They just spread falsehood all over the internet. They should let their bigotry stay in SS/SE.
i am yet to see the poster or any other person in support of the motion here to raise his hand indicating he/she is Igbo yet u name them Igbo cuz of your tribal bitterness towards Igbos. Yet u stil say yorubas are not tribal in the same post! Hypocrites! Nobody is even looking at the fact that the article mentioned tinubu/fashola backing and selecting their own candidate for the post. How does that represent good democracy?

Eko Atlantic: How is it your headache? are the real Lagosians complaining?! Funny how you these immigrants leave your various villages for better life in SW and still pokenose on matters bigger than you. You people better be worried about the problems in you guys thick villages.

If that's the case, when is an abdul... Or an alhaji going to govern any eatsern state?
this guy can never live a moment without exhibiting his hatred towards Igbos! Why dragging your issues in lagos to Igbo land?
Btw i'm yet to see any SW states except lagos that is better than SE states... Yet even people from hell holes in ekiti, osun et al come on nairaland to make noise about Lagos that was built by the federal government! If the SW governors have all been progressives, why are other SW states so primitive and are planets apart from lagos in terms of development and infrastructure?
Keep deluding yourselves! Just like an aboki from maidugiuri boasting of abuja that he can not afford a one room apartment in its sub-urban. Yet, it is filled up with people from other parts of the country.
Word of advice: look beyond your ethnic bigotry and strife to make money and live in the most beautiful places in lagos with other successful Igbos cuz i came to realise that the bitterness of most Yorubas towards Igbos, is the fact that they are not able to afford the lives that Igbos are enjoying in their region.
I bet you were raised in an apartment in gbagada or ajegunle... Try hard to relocate to Ikoyi et al!

I'll only advice you to keep it up cuz if not for it, i wouldn't have noticed that your tirades and campaign of calumny against Jonathan is borne out of bigotry and trabalism. Disparaging him even when he does execellent jobs that should be applauded!

EducationRe: Reps Summon JAMB Registrar Over Mass Failure by kalunomics(m): 2:01am On May 10, 2013
These lazy students shaded the paper types they received with their phones rather the paper types they were given. And JAMB this year, out-smarted them by saving the original paper types that was assigned to their respective registration numbers, in their database against marking. That is why most of them failed!

And for people saying JAMB intentionally marked them down to reduce the number of students that will be admitted into the university; what happened to POLYs that uses 160 cut-off mark? Are they not amongst the 500,000 capacity prospective candidates in-takers??
They people that prepared for the examination and some few other lucky ones that the paper-type text the received matched the ones assigned to them, passed the exam!
Kudos to JAMB! The parents should be thanking JAMB for this because the eligible candidates whom are potential 2-1 or 1st class students will be matriculating instead of wasting time and resources for 4 or 5 years only to graduate students with 2-2, 3rd Class or even pass...
It should be a wake-up call for the lazy tertiary prospective candidates to know what they are up against and imbibe the culture of reading and make it a hobby before gaining admissions

The best solution to all these is just to ignore any post that incites tribalism and bigotry! God my heart palpitates whenever i read posts bashing or using derogatory and false claims against my people that i stopped viewing any thread that maybe susceptible to such posts!! This is realy realy bad because most gullible readers would think all the thrash spewed here are true.

Though it is hard to ignore and not refute most bogus claims thats accrues from these racist post but i'm trying to and hope you all good minded africans will follow suite because the more you read and retaliate, you see yourself going down with the same sinking ship and with time, you become a racist too and start hating good innocent people with different views but of the same tribe/nation with the tribal bigots attacking your tribe/nation here.

God bless Africa!

ItsModella: Irony at its finest. What church are we talking about here? The same church we have in this world? The same church that misinterpret the scriptures to their favor? It's one to say the Bible, it's another thing to say the church. Most churches these days lack the moral qualification to decide anything.

And what happens to those who are not Christians? I'm assuming they're still part of this "world". The church will still decide what is morally right and wrong for them? What manner of bullshit is this?

Abeg jo, drop all this epistle for Mathias...ain't nobody got time for this.
the article is aimed solely at christians. You could have just ignored it if you feel it's not applicable to you
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Leaves UK Hospital For Israel by kalunomics(m): 12:12pm On Apr 28, 2013
Abagworo: I've noticed a pattern of response from some Nairalanders which is quite disturbing. We do not honestly know Rochas true state of health. Forget about him appearing on TV with a bandage just to make it appear everything is fine. Rochas government is not up to 2years but he is receiving more blame from supporters of Governors who have stayed nearly 6 years and Rochas has already outperformed them in his 2years. Even if Rochas wants to build a world class health centre, he can't achieve that in 2years with the little funds in Imo State. Federal Government, Bayelsa, Delta and Akwa-Ibom have no good health centre despite all the money accruable to them monthly. Even South Africa does not have a reliable health centre. Most of the world travel to Europe and America for adequate medical care.

Meanwhile enjoy this video of kids skating in a suburb of Owerri and don't forget to show us similar video from your State or shut up already.

thank you my brother! Most of the people commenting here wants a state that has left to dilapidate for approximately twenty years now after Mbakwe to transform into New York in two years of the supposedly Messiah's duration in office.
PoliticsRe: Okorocha Leaves UK Hospital For Israel by kalunomics(m): 12:02pm On Apr 28, 2013
Ejiné: Nne, for the sake of honesty on Nairaland, I would really like you to tell me how many governors I have blindly praised here.

Is it Fashola the noisemaking turncoat who makes a living from licking his master's sweaty black asss?
Is it Aregbesola the empty rascal who is busy claiming federal power projects as his own?
Is it the effeminate Peter Obi who looks for tribal sentiments when taken to the cleaners on a blog by a 3-foot aboki?
Or is it my bastaard governor Uduaghan who uses 7 billion naira to pick stones in an airport?

Tell me, exactly WHO have I praised blindly? Why are you shying away from the obvious truth that your governor is a petty criminal masquerading himself as a populist with cheap theatrics that portray an archaic communist mindset?

Hell, is my governor in Delta state not a criminal too? You see, the difference is, I'm not lying to myself.

Your governor was so dumb to dissolve the local government (which was NEVER under his control) and you see nothing wrong in this.

Your governor was shameless enough to pay kids N100 a month to attend school like almajiris and you see nothing wrong in this.

Your governor had a scratch on his mango head and quickly flew himself to LONDON and you see nothing wrong in this.

Anyway, free me abeg. I'm not caught in the delusion that he's a messiah, cuz I don't pass the renovations of the government house and commissioners' quarters as "Putting a smile on the faces of Ndi Imo".

Your governor is a crook. Deal with it.
Cuz I've learned to deal with mine.
Aside from being a public servant, he was a big boy before taking on the mantle to pilot Imo affairs. He was financially fit to foot those petty bills. Your prejudice drove you to turn a blind eye to the part of the article that said the collisive impact of the cars was much and consequently, he needed to check if there were some internal damages done to his body. He's trying to reform the health sector but it is not up to the standard to care of the number one citizen (which he could have easily afforded even when not in office), atleast not for now.

You don't label every Governor thief because of some imcompetent ones. Rochas is not meeting up to the expectation of the "messiah" we all thought him to be but that should not lead you to use such derrogatory and disparaging terms to carry out your campaign of calumny.

Rochas has been the best thing that ever happened to the whole south east and some south south states after Mbakwe.

I heard someone asking about the achievements of Rochas in the past two years... That's not what you want to delve into right now, we've derailed the thread enough. Why not open up another thread on that and let us trash it out.

And that PDP guy spewing thrash, i don't really have anything to say to you and your party because Rochas's achievements in two years dwarfs the achievements of all the past PDP governors since inception of democracy.
