PoliticsRe: Which State Is The Most Accomodating In Nigeria by kalunomics(m): 7:24am On Jun 04, 2013
omartins: Based on most of what the op list we have many state with those except political. Its only in lagos that someone from other state can hold political post.
Maybe it's a rare incident to occur in SW that you people are incessantly referencing it per second in every tribal post.
Ohakim, the erstwhile governor of Imo state, appointed an edo man in his admnistrative entourage.
The same goes to the erstwhile Governor of Enugu state, Chimaraoke Nnamani, whose press secretary was from a Yoruba tribe.
So spare us this every second of "fashola appointing an Igbo man in his cabinet", because considering the number of people from other Ethnic groups living in Lagos to the ones living in any other part of the nation, we are supposed to have more than that!

PoliticsRe: PDP To Sanction Governors For Not Recognising Jang As NGF Chairman by kalunomics(m): 5:41am On Jun 04, 2013
lafflaff123: Nigeria as far as I am concerned is not ready for democracy.

I wish and I say this with all honesty that the Military should just come back and kick this jokers out of power and then lock them up with the keys thrown into bar beach. What is the difference between a dictatorship and what we are seeing now? Patience Good luck is more powerful than any elected Nigerian and has the power to ORDER that Governors should be removed.

The President the same. And has been crushing those opposed to him one way or the other, starting from his State where the former Governor is being hunted left and right by the EFCC. Journalists are being locked up for no reason left and right for speaking writing about the President or his wife, so I ask again what is the DIFFERENCE between what we are OPERATING now and DICTATORSHIP?

There is no way democracy can work without people have dissenting voices. So I am calling on the boys in KHAKI to come back to power.
empty head!Your khaki boys are the reason why Nigeria is in it's current state. They ruled for 43 years with nothing to show for it... Yar'adua and GEJ are the only civilian president we've known so far and every candid Nigeria can see the transformation.

I guess you are still a JAMBITE or just plain ignorant. If not, you will not be advocating for the returns of your khaki boys.

joeluv: I was in owerri expecting to see some mega transformation. Buh to be honest the town is still like a village, no taxis. Keke all over. Just one major road that cut my eye. Anyway may be roachas is working in the villages cos as for owerri town.it still has a long way to go!
I've lived in Owerri all my life and I can authoritatively tell you that he(Rochas) is working. Maybe you wanted to compare Owerri to Wuse or the Lagos Island which in either case, Owerri becomes a village.

The man had already been there for only two years and the transformation experienced in the state can be compared to that of six years of most southern states.

My candid opinion is -"he is being over-hyped by the folks here because Chime and Akpobio's achievements still dwarfs Rochas' in terms of infrastructure", Maybe because the later has been there for six years... So let's keep our fingers crossed until after four years.

Eko Ile: apabio is promising?

A crooked and lawless election rigger is promising?

A bad and corrupt financial manager dishing state money on frivolous nonsense like luxury jeeps for celebrities and sending people to dubai is promising?

A man whose budget is the largest in Nigeria with little or nothing to show for it?

A man who is using dummy Tropicana project to loot the state? N75 billion abandoned project?

May God help Nigeria or maybe I should say you already corrupt leaders of tomorow..
stop spewing thrash mr. Tribalist! You analyse more than all the multiple organisations, both local and international, that has rated him the bes governor in Nigeria?
I know the reason why you all are hyping Amaechi now is because he's posing as an opposition to GEJ now. Last three months that I checked, PDP never had any progressive Governor in any Pro-APC's books.
Why would you lots let sentiment to always be a gard of posts?

PoliticsRe: Teachers Begin Strike In 11 States by kalunomics(m): 6:35am On Jun 01, 2013
tinnymerit: So if ur parents are teachers you will pray they should depend on 9k minimum wage when their levels in other states are collecting 18k.How much is even 18k self?.That should be around 120 dollars or so.I could remember the time of Abacha must go saga in which you will see landlords putting to let as this ''HOUSE TO LET NOT FOT TEACHERS'''is that a good omen for teachers or must their rewards be in heaven when that of politricians and pocketicians are right here?.
Am not advocating Government owing them but rather will want them to implement the new salary structure all over the 36 states.
What I am pointing out here is public school teachers lackadaisical attitude towards their vocation which is part of the reason why Nigeria is where it is today. We are always fast to point fingers on our public office holder when nobody is ever ready to give in his/her best when it comes to government-runned establishments.

None of them would want to register their child/ward in public schools where they teach.

Look at how they are complaining about like they really do the job they are asking for the payment. I thought they've turned their staff room to markets, they should be able to make money out of it. grin

Government should instill tough punitive measures, if not dismissal, to teachers whom out-rightly miss schools and skip classes in a bid to fish out the culprits and curb this menace because there are a few who are committed to their job that deserves their salaries.

But wait, what is the reason of the government for owing them?
Education27 RSUST Students Drag University To Court Over Examination by kalunomics(op): 7:36pm On May 31, 2013
From: Blessing Iruoma, Port Harcourt

About 27 students of the Rivers State University of Science and Technology Port Harcourt have dragged the Management of the University and the Information Communication Technology Department of the institution to court over the refusal of the Institution to allow them take their 2011/2012 examination, because they could not meet up with paying their school fees on time.

The 27 students who sued the University on behalf of other affected students are asking the Institution to allow them the opportunity to take their examinations and proceed to the next level.

When the matter came up in court counsel to the University A. S Abdukareen brought two motions challenging jurisdiction of the court to handle the matter and another seeking for more time to respond to the originating summons.

However Justice E. N Ogbuji, adjourned case till June 26, 2013 for motion on notice.

Meanwhile counsel to the student (Claimants), Mr Need Romeo told newsmen after the sitting that the University should not do anything outside the purview of the laws establishing the University.

He said that neither the Vice Chancellor nor any of the University’s authority has the rights to prevent them from taking their examinations.

Mr Romeo alleged that non compliance to the University’s laws forced the students to bring them to court.

all4naija: You shut the f**K up. You are very stubborn and you refuse to learn. It is very hard for you to read my comments and comprehend them. Please, I say I used to think Nigeria and SA can cooperate to move Africa forward. What is wrong about that? Didn't I just explained how the cooperation would have helped in this menacing drug problem blame on Nigerians while the innocents suffer?

What have you turned yourself into? Did you turn yourself into a monster that is going all about to attack people whether they are innocent or criminals? When are your people going to learn that primitive actions are never solutions to problems in a civil society? These are rhetorical questions to help you better start reasoning with your brain, my friend. The earlier your know that the better it is for you to make changes. I can't understand what your argument is all about here than you beating around the bush without making any meaningful contributions to what this argument is all about, what we are trying to address in this particular thread.

SA is not the end of the world and it is not what I even used to think it was. After seeing some videos and news coming out of that country I made up my mind not to visit that country in my lifetime, nor is the country actually what people made it to look like. People are taking its development out of the ordinary of this one-eyed-nation-of-Africa.

Jeez! Relax lady, your society is already poisoned by your people while blaming the immigrants for your problems. It is just a small part of the problems of that society. Today it will be about black animosity toward whites and African immigrants and tomorrow it will be about xenophobic attacks on African immigrants or blaming Nigerians for your crimes. You have problems South African blacks. You need to seat yourself down for a sober reflect and look back to where you are coming from, you b-a-s-t-a-r-d-s.

Go and clean your Townships first of crimes before coming here to complain about Nigeria. You guys will die off heart attack soon because of the people of Nigeria.
The brains this posts is meant for is so primitive to comprehend it and therefore not worth the energy expended in typing it.
*I don't advocate the "calling names" part though*

The main reason why your posts befuddles readers and consequently making it hard, if not impossible, to comprehend. Don't front the "English man's language" as a pretext for your mediocre English. That drives me think that it's the same reason why you couldn't make any rational deductions, from the debate, in your previous post other than street rants.

We lots don't speak the same local language here, so if I am going to put up a debate with somebody, we both need an effective way of communicating here or you might just want to confine yourself to websites of your locality.
