No wonder. Engineering Manager na long thing, hence the thorough scrutiny. Nominating professional engineer might have made life easier (koko be say you collect positive assessment and you come here and carve whatver niche you want for yourself career wise). Being a manager is a big deal here and I think they just want to be sure your claims are valid. Did you also submit other independent documents apart from tax papers? Like Pension statement, bank statement etc? I hope your assessor is satisfied and will give you the good news soon. Keep us posted and goodluck

Iceberg54 and Mamajaz, una well done grin
maybe u r right, I applied for engineering manager coz I have had experience, I did degrees in management and am a PMP too, if I had applied for civil engineer I know it would have been easier but one reason for applying as engineering manager was also that civil engineering is a flagged occupation and engineering manager is not, but now nothing I can do, just wait that I am doing, I hope too that I get a positive outcome

On top Wetin na huh
What issues are they raising?
hello bro, for last one week my assessor has gone quiet, he asked rescan of a degree and he was confused about a reference letter a month ago, I cleared him, then started asking for my tax deductions, I provided on company letter head as requested by him, then he said that they still not suitable and provide tax returns from national tax bureau for complete employment of 13 years, I provided it last week and after 5 contacts from assessor he has now gone quiet, I have applied for ENGINEERING MANAGER may be that is the reason that he is taking so long, I had not even asked for employment verification, just the CDR, I applied on 27 Apr

It is normal friend. It is called request for additional information. Usually these kind of information are requested when an assessor needs further clarification as per your documentation.

I experienced the same thing during my qualification assessment with EA. I was asked to provide reference letters for my work experience despite the fact that I did not apply for the assessment of my work experience .

Don't be panic friend, just supply all the information requested. Rescan your degree certificate in 600dpi and try to get the reference letter as well. If you can't get the reference letter, you can use statutory declaration of employment as an alternative. Lastly, as advised by your assessor, ensure that all the issues are addressed at once as you will not have a second chance to do so.

All the best.
Thanks mate, I had provided all the reference letters with my application, then asked for bank statements and tax returns as third party reference, I submitted them, but then he again asked for the national tax bureau tax returns, I provided that for last two years, yesterday he asked for complete tax report from national tax bureau from 2004 to 2014, so when I logged into national database I came to know that online tax returns were only started in my country in 2007 and for period from 2004-06 I then had to submit manually with stamp of tax office and sent it across to my assessor, I hope he understands this time that I was employed for 14 years and grant me positive assessment

Is it normal that assessor of engineers Australia starts asking for so many different documents and have 4 feedbacks and doesn't clear u, so far he has not objected on any of the episodes in CDR, he asks rescan of degree and asked 3rd party reference, he also said that it my final opportunity to submit the document, what does he want? Can someone plz tell me?

PS: I have not even applied for employment verification, just the CDR and it's been 52 days in my application now

If you have provided what was requested as well as explanation for grey areas, then worry not. It turned out most of us subjected ourselves to needless worries.
U r right, I need to be hopeful and leave rest to the Almighty, thanks for the advice mate

Well, I can't be sure of whether cdr has been read or not. But one can discern that your documents are being assessed, so for the now keep hope alive.
When did you apply and which occupation did you nominate?
Thanks for the reply, I applied as engineering manager on 27 Apr bro

Hello evHello, there is general question for engineers, how much time do they take after EA ask about rescan of degree and a person send them immediately, my case was in progress for four days and then EA asked me to resend my MS degree, should I expect positive result by Monday?yesterday I was asked by EA to resubmit scanned copies of my MS degree and transcript as they were not clear, there was also a confusion in one of my reference letter where they asked me that I had missed two years in the letters, but Everything was there in the reference letter but they missed it, I resent the MS degree and transcript, also clarified the reference letter. I am wondering that these observations are taken after they have read my episodes or before reading them, my guess is that after reading my complete CDR these two would have been the observations, what do u say? Expecting positive result by Monday

The outcome is dependent on the strength of your CDR. If you write something convincing, you should get a professional engineer.

Many people got positive assessment with no experience.
Thanks bro, for ur reply and I know that it depends upon strength of CDR but if one doesn't apply for assesment for experience in the CDR and then can he claim points for experience in eoi , is it ok?
TravelRe: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by Kamal474: 2:26pm On May 19, 2017
Hello everyone, CDR submission without asking for experience assesment from EA, what is the outcome like? I mean what EA say in the outcome when u have not asked for experience to be verified, just the degree. And how u show experience in eoi and final invite in such a scenario? Regards

I understand what you mean. You re saying EA might include the civil engineering years along with the managerial years, due to their stated requirements . Truth is this will be depend on the understanding of the assessor of your application. So just leave it and await the decision.
Thanks mate

Well, since you ve already applied, there is nothing much you can do. Besides, your management experience is about 5.5 years, and in my opinion, I dont think EA will consider the non managerial roles. I advise you just keep calm and await the assessment outcome, you dont know if some years may be deducted or added to your already claimed 5.5 years managerial experience. I can't tell and I doubt whether EA will consider the non managerial experience, but who knows.
Ok , then why engineers Australia has written that an engineering manager should typically have 7 years of experience as civil engineer before he can demonstrate sufficient abilities as engineering manager, and then he should have 3 years experience as engineering manager. You are right that I should keep calm but I don't think EA will defy what they have written themselves, so they can't ignore my experience as civil engineer

Just apply as a civil engineer. Inude all your work experience along. Since you have 7.5 years experience as a civil engineer, it should not be a problem.
I have already applied as engineering manager, coz I am an engineering manager , my postgraduate degree and PMP suggest that, the I have had in mind is not knowing procedure that dibp use to calculate experience, do they consider closely related experience or not

When you submitted for assessment with EA, did you asked for your experience to be assessed too?

Civil engineering is not as competitive as other Engineering occupations, why not assess as a civil engineer straight to prevent all these complications?
well I have already submitted as engineering manager coz civil engineering is flagged and reaching ceiling very fast, my question was related to the aspect that engineering manager is supposed to have worked in his basic engineering before to be considered as engineering manager, this makes occupation as civil engineer related to engineering manager, I am not very clear about how experience is calculated by DIBP? What is the procedure? Do they consider experience of closely related occupations? And thanks for clearing the air, it was just the lighter part when I said it regarding Nigerians @bellong

Hello everyone, can someone please guide me regarding engineers Australia assessment system, I have applied as an engineering manager, in msa guide of EA, it is written that an engineering manager should typically have seven years of experience in his basic engineering field to show competencies as engineering manager, I have submitted episodes in which I show 7.5 years as civil engineer working on sites and 5.5 years as engineering manager, a total of 13 years, my question is that if this assesment comes through can I claim 15 points for experience as engineering manager or will I be only able to use 5.5 years of experience? I believe that it's overall experience in the occupation plus the related occupation, please apprise, regards
