Hello all, I had sent an application to Victoria on 9 Aug for state nomination, in 12 hours I got reply from them that I had lodged an EOI with NSW too( I had told this in my application), they asked me in order to finalise my application I had to tell them that I prefer Victoria over NSW for state nomination, I sent them the reply yesterday and told them that I am willing to prefer Victoria over NSW, people usually get this response from Victoria after quite some days, I got it next day of my application lodge, now does it mean that they have already selected me for nomination and they wanted to confirm my priority? Or it's a usual mail? Confused... and anxious... I have 70 points as civil engineer with 13 years experience and good English score, can someone advise,? Regards

OK thanks. One can't be over careful in this process, because for EA's MSA booklet it's around 1700 in total.
u must be having an old version of msa guidebook, it's 1000-2500 and I am sure about that

EA people, hope it's not a crime if ones career episode is beyond the 1700words mark?
not at all.. limit is 1000 to 2500, none of my episodes was less than 3000 words but 2500 is sufficient

I have a question for those that have completed their Engineers Australia's assessment.

Please see what I saw in my profile/portal today. I paid in the early hours of today.

Am I supposed to resubmit this MSA

Please not the two different ID numbers.

I paid for CDR, Skill assessment and fast track
no u don't have to resubmit ur application, it's already paid and queued for assessment, u might not have known and have clicked skill level 1 assesment that is done for membership with EA

Unofficial Skill Select results for July 12th 2017

Not much data around at the moment so this table will update over the next 24 hours or so…

A few things to remember :

– There are only 1000 places for the 189s in this round. I expect this is lower than normal because DIBP have also opened up an extra pathway for the 189 visa for New Zealand citizens who have earned high wages in the last 5 years in Australia. There may be over 40,000 people eligible for this pathway and so this may impact the 189s available through the points tested 189 visa. At least until DIBP see how many applications they receive from NZ citizens.
– There has been a very large backlog of new EOIs in ALL occupations that have built up in April, May and June 2017, not just Pro Rata occupations. And so the invitation mark is and will continue to be artificially high in many occupations for maybe the 1-3 months
– Those applicants at 60 and 65 points in NON Pro-rata occupations may miss out for a round or two as a result also. We have not seen any 60/65 point invitations in any occupation yet
– We have not seen the new 2017/18 Occupational ceiling numbers anywhere still. We, like everyone, are badgering DIBP to release these. There is no excuse now that they have actually invited the first round of places as they clearly know their numbers.

Ok here is what we have so far. If you have any credible EOI invitation dates more recent than this at the same or lower points, please email us at query@iscah.com and we can look at updating the table.

This is the lowest point total and most recent invitation date we have for the following pro rata occupations

2211 Accountant 75 – 09/04/2017
2212 Auditor (no figures)
2334 Electronics Engineer 75 – 23/05/2017
2335 Ind, Mech, Production Engineers 70 – 01/06/2017
2339 Other Engineering Professionals 75 – 15/06/2017
2611 ICT Business and Systems Analysts 75 – 25/05/2017
2613 Software and App Programmers 70 – 26/04/2017
2631 Computer Network Professionals 80 – 06/04/2017
yes bro I saw this on a site last night, but official word will be from DIBP

Truth is we cant say until the new occupation ceiling is out.

However there is still backlog of 75/70/65 pointers with early date of effects also.

So if 2nd round in July doesn't fly, most likely we should start getting invites in August.
don't u think that more people will be applying and backlog will never be over as there are only 1000 invites per round, I fear more and more rounds

With present trend, do U guys think that civil engineer with 65 points get an invite in the next round? I mean the backlog must be finished by then or there will be more wait?

Going by the results of the previous invitation rounds, 60 points has always been sufficient to get an invitation and with this score of yours, you should get an invitation tomorrow.
bro I am much obliged

I've been pondering on this since I read this , and I really want to congratulate you for the breakthrough, and implore you to forgive him for he knows not what he's doing. Meanwhile, if any one of us get to a position of assessing others in Oz let's remember to make others happy, be free, be fair, avoid racism.
absolutely spot on, we should see the credentials and not the country of origin, I wouldn't have done the same if the positions were reversed and I was his assessor, he is from an enemy country politically but he is not my personal enemy

72 days? That's 3months plus. Did you do fast track? This looks very long..o
yes I had 72 days and a very painful assessment, it included 7 contacts by assessor for different documents and queries, there is a big reason for him to act like that, but that is related to foreign relations and country of origin so I will not share it here, but I also got the answer for tough assesment when I saw his name on the letter, it showed which country he belonged, and I got answer to all my questions

Wow! Finally @ Kamal but what happened with Engineering Manager nomination? Any explanation from EA?
it was a funny situation when I was told by my assessor that he was going to refuse me as he didn't think myself as an engineering manager, it's funny as I am a PMP, I have masters in engineering management and have 14 years of management experience, the assessor gave me option of civil engineer and I took it with both hands, will see about engineering management when I land in Australia

yes I was but my assessor gave me a funny option today when he said that either accept refusal or accept professional engineer so I accepted civil engineering

If you have the details of your application, you can call on your own.
Why did you use an agent?
I didn't know then that I can be more useful to me rather than an agent, but by then I had applied for application. Secondly, I have had a very bad experience applying myself for uk visa so I didn't want to take risk this time.

Tryan relax bro, although I know it's not easy to chill oh,but I pray you will laugh last.
thanks bro but it's difficult to relax when people around u get assessed in 30 days or even 40 days max and u r waiting and waiting, it seems unfair, why people can't be treated equally, I don't mind a ten days variation between applications but more than a month extra and still result being uncertain is quite painful, don't u think
