dayo23:Everything must change 4 good. We need a total break from what is obtainable to something truly fresh and not the clueless freshness we got from the 'stealing is not corruption' proponet. PDP is a party of looters and we should all stand up and let's be counted as advocates of good governance by making sure that the right party wins. For those who would quickly mention that APC will do same while in power, all what I need say is let's give them a chance and see what they can do. By the way all the APC govnors are performers so the party should be able to replicate that at national level |
dayo23:Pictures would be highly appreciated |
Niger is for the people's general no two ways about that. We are all tired of corruption impunity insecurity mismanaged economy and above all the government being clueless on how to tackle the aforementioned problems. SAI BUHARI. Lest I forget the dep guvnor just dumped PDP for APC today and he is right now for CHANGE. |
It beats my imagination when I read in here a presumably enlightened chap drumming support for GEJ. It's so obvious that the man is clueless and he has taken the nation backward to a state of insecurity. He came on board with the promise of fixing the power challenge which was/is the yearning of the nation but he failed woefully with that. Corruption a cancer in the society is been condoned within the corridor of power. Security challenges are not been tackled as they ought to. GEJ is a failure and I don't see him improving the sorry state of the nation even if he is to continue in power because he is clueless and too timid to control the affairs of NIGERIA. APC govnors nationwide have been performing so why not give party a chance and see if they could change the tide for good. By the way can't see a disciplined BUHARI performing worse than GEJ cos if for nothing corruption would never be entertained in his govt. |
Ibinabo chose to vote GEJ so? hows that even an issue? anybody expecting her to vote otherwise? with the largesse at her disposal and her shown desperation we shouldnt expect her to think rationally when it comes to who to support. By the way how's are support of significant?..... just passing by.. |
The NPF is not but a reflection of the Nigerian society. All the govt setups have corrupt minded individuals in em and corruption is encouraged either directly or indirectly. So the whole of Nigeria is in the mess but just because the police unfortunately does theirs in the open they ve turn the scape goats. Corruption is not as RAMPANT in the private sector not because there are no corrupt minded individuals but rather because it is abhor and not turned into a way of life. And this all boils down to strong institutions or lack of it in Nigeria. May God help us |
obailala:Hmm corruption and torturing @ the cheap expense of honesty and integrity. How cant the "thieving elites" be comfortable with wat they are doing? Since they will always have a way to twist our mindsets to soothe their worries. ![]() |
Hating Buhari shouldnt stop us from agreeing with him on what is obvious. His stating that the thieving elites are as bad as the militants is a fact so why the attack on his person? The same elites painted Buhari black just for their selfish interest and most of us bought the line without checking the facts just like zombies. The same corrupt leaders led to the emergenge of the militants through the dastardly acts that has being going on over the years. So whtas the fuss even if it is the devil that state which is obvious huh. God let em bigots think straight. |
Waow am highly pleased to have come across this thread cos it gives me hope for Nigeria and shows that even in faceless forums we can contribute positively to a national disccussion and not just looking at every stance with a "programmed" mindset. Basically the problem of Nigeria is us Nigerians. We just have to wake up from our slumbers and know that nobody can fix this country for us but us. Sentiment, religion, tribe and what have you should NOT influence the decisions we take but rather the overall interst of the nation. Having said that i strongly believe that CORRUPTION needs to be tackled to the lowest bearable form if Naija must develop and strive ahead.Corruption is the menace that has contributed the most in holding the nation back. Money meant for power, education, health etc all went down the drain just because an individual or group decided to syphon the fund instead of improving the lot of the nation. Take an instance, if the whole money spent during OBJ's administration on power were (even poorly) channeled into the sector wouldnt the sector have being better off compare to what we have now? Selfishness breeds corruption, just because we all want to take from the nation rather giving to it, collectively we are all milking the nation dry and putting it in a quagmire. We the youth just have to break from the past and start thinking of what we can do for our nation rather waiting for the nation to spoon feed us. Sorry to say but the crop of our present leaders are more or less a lost generation in terms of fighting corruption cos almost all of them got to the top through the corrupt settings. With corruption out of the way every other thing will fall into place but fighting it must start from our various homes and schools by preaching the gospel of selflesness to the future leaders. And to curb the trend NOW there should be atleast a LENGTHY jail term( or possibly death sentence) for any thieving govt official and the needed normalcy may resume in the corridors of power in Naija. |
Nigerians need patience for the needed transformation to happen.Better still we need to apply the Soviet type of governance so as to achieve the much talked about "fresh air". Thus elected/selected leaders of the country should be given a grace period of 4 yrs after which they most have figured out the problems of the country. Hence the 2nd tenure will be use to trnsform the nation. Mind u soviet union and S/arabia adopted this and you can see where they are now (one in the history books and the other with no democrcy) so lets trust Gej, remember he had no shoes and he cant betray your trust. Your vote 4 jona (and not pdp) will never be in vain. ![]() |
Bros Jona is too early to start campaigning 4 another term when u ve not started the first. Btw we are still waiting to c how u will swivel the country with the wolves sorrounding you. |
Hmmmmm. I guess the "legislooters" gat no "ghana must go" 4rm the firm. . And dont be surprise to hear the dishonourable members singing a new song by next week afta JB must ve done what is "necessary". Blimey ![]() |
hillsate:Hey stop ranting and get a lyf. The saga has nothing to do with religion poster. Its ol politics and let it end there and stop bringing religious colouration to the whole issue. Btw Jigawa is a muslim state as such the "islamic religion newspaper" should not be having issues with the government huh. If you have a burning desire to see the paper crucified you can do that tru other means but definitly not when the paper castigated a muslim guvnor cos if u do it wunt have any basis. Whats your problem with a paper having ol muslim staff? Do you have same problem with numerous papers having ol xtian staff? smh. c'mon pls lets stop lovin bin bigots. |
princeada:SMH |
, sorry 4 d interruption. . Move on wit the madness. ![]() |
The S east will defnitly be worse off if they lose the speakership position (which they will from ol indication). With the PDP chiarmanship position "zoned" to the N east, the S east have to do with the SGF position which is a far cry 4rm bin what the igbos want. |
I believe the thread is ol bou etiquette and not conspiracy theories. What does an emir's honest advice has to do with the VP bin 4rm Auchi? BTW the VP is a bonafide zaria man 4rm ol angle u want to look @ it. chai. |
I always wonder why the igbos really want Biafra becos from my analysis they are better off as Nigerians. The igbos are in every part of naija and doing very well in most cases. Not having the political power shouldnt bring about call for seccession. Come to think of it, just imagine the number of (igbo) people that will be worse off if Biafra come to be. We have more igbos doing well outside the east than in the east. And we have fewer number of other Nigerians in the east when compare to igbo settlers elsewhere. Biafra should be in the past. The igbos should try to conquer the country instead of backing out to form a potentially overcrowded entity.Blimey |
THE AMAKA:Gbam. Family planning takes a natural course. When the citizenry are well enlightened and comfortable they tend to have few kids. But for the poor and unenlightened reverse is the case. So all the govt needs to do is improve the living standard and reduce the illitracy rate to the minimal and the population growth will be under check. |
NL is as good as any other social networking site u can get. Few people bastardising it does not translate into the forum being bad. BTW if Gej wants to feel the real pulse of Naija there is no better place than NL cos here we have the good, the bad and the unthinkable posters. Presumably that will keep alot of people quiet here cos they cant dare say silly things(dem go fear fear na). And @least that will bring an end to the bigots having a field day all the time. |

dapachez:Thirded. Gbam |
So whats the fuss here huh? Do you want the emir to roll down and tell sambo to keep goin to places late huh? Or he should do the sanctioning @ close doors and make the VP not to change huh? What the emir did is commendable @least that will drive the message home. Next tym it should be a knock to the forehead. Noncense. |
Zoning (or lack of it) stance by the pdp thugs is really taking a comical frame. Thought it should be about the "best man" for each position not minding ethnicity or whatever. Presidency (no zoning), then why zoning the other offfices lets keep the momentum going and see who will suffer for it |
past can presidents were lame ducks who did nothing and instead were preaching forgiveness thats why this impunity was recurring. In oritsejafor we have a 'violent' man who would speak forth and defend the rights of xtians without fear. Does defending "the rights of the xtians" translates into the xtian leader adding more fire to the burning house? If to you thats ideal then we still have a lot to do in that respect. |
@ op Dont really know what u want to achieve by dis post, who got killed aint relevant but rather pple got killed. Neither the ijaws nor the idomas will like to see other tribes killed i presume. And who says a war will not affect the ijaws or idomas the most? The gravity of casualities from a particular ethnic group depends on the pattern the war takes. The igbos were unfortunate during the civil war not because of their carelessness but rather the igboland was mainly the warfront. ![]() |
Oritsejafor needs to learn from the immediate past CAN president. The office is meant to foster unity among the various faiths and not to aggravate the situation. |
Chai oyingbo. Had it been that happened in naija it would have been a case of "next time dont try james bond tactics" and case closed in as much as no money is missing. Did i hear somebody say law of diminishing returns on staff security is @ work? |
Hmmm. Highly unnecessary i presume. "smh". |

. And dont be surprise to hear the dishonourable members singing a new song by next week afta JB must ve done what is "necessary". Blimey
