This is mpape. It's the way it is because of the housing crisis occasioned by unreasonable rent in the Abuja municipal.
This place is strategically located and it's just some minutes drive to anywhere in the city center, but when they tell you they're there because of low rent, it's in comparison to what's obtainable in the city center. At the peak of it's time as the goto place to stay if you want somewhere close to town, a single room self contained apartment was around 250k.
