majekdom2: did they make thousands of that car and then put it in the market ?... they just made somethjing to show case their skills .... how do some of us reason? They spent 4 million naira to build that giant toy. How silly!!! Kesmakveli: Amazing: Unizik Students Produce Race Car
According to the initiator of the project, Okoyenta Augustus, the materials for the car were locally sourced and it took them two years to put in place. The cost of the project still according to him was about .4 million naira, though with the support of the department. |

chronique: Wow! Feels sad reading this but let me refresh your memory about what I warned you about when you started out with your very first thread. I particularly warned you about destroying other people's businesses to gain clients. I remember how you came up with spurious claims that most car dealers were making millions off clients(on a single car) and cheating them and how you had to open that thread to expose them and help buyers. Some of the things you said then, weren't true but I didn't want to look like an antagonist on your thread. I remember a client on NL arguing with me about price of a particular vehicle, and how she had gotten it cheaper on your thread;I simply asked her to go ahead and do biz with you. I also remember some NLers attacking one or two people who tried to point out some of the wrong claims you were making... It's a shame that with all the clients you were getting, things turned out this bad. Those who you accused of ripping people off, still have their businesses up and running while you,the "one who wanted to help" are struggling with bankrupcy as you've made us to understand. What's the reason for all these? You built a foundation on lies and the bad thing about a lie is that, you have to keep lying to sustain the first one told. One of the many pitfalls in business is,over-promising and under-delivering which a lot of people do,just to win clients. I thinl this is an area where you probably failed. If you understand what a solid reputation meant, you wouldn't have allowed too many of such deals to occur before taking swift steps to clear things up. It is not every client that somes your way, that you must collect money from(most especially when you know the amount being offered can't sort things out). When you accept such orders, you automatically become a glutton, and would be setting yourself up for failure. I percieve your business model, was robbing peter to pay paul (using one client's money to sort out another with the hope that another client would come and you'd use his own to sort out the other client. Such methods only leads to a cobweb of debts. I have a friend who does business this way and up till now,He's still in debts. I am in no way celebrating your fall cos it wouldn't add a dime to my pocket. I actually do feel for you and many other dealers cos, with the amount of views you had on your threads and what has happened so far,I'm sure a lot of potential clients would be wary of doing business with dealers online(seing that the popular ones who they thought were credible, are having scandals trail them). I hope you've learnt your lessons and I also hope others are learning.
Little gotten in absolute peace and tranquility, refreshes the soul. I really wish you a quick recovery. This writeup is good. I, most especially, fancy the bolded. It's a good punchline for rap artistes like me |

Copied that cne010: From 2001 to 2005 the Engine and gear sells for 90k in Trinity Apapa. A friend got the gear alone for 35k. Any idea if Mercedes come with 4, 6, 8 etc plugs like other cars? If you then drive the CLS 63 AMG,it means you will create a thread to sing praises of Mercedes Benz. I tell you! Mercedes is built to kill! The experience I had today is evidence. Siena: Uh, no automobile requires a "special" kind of mechanic to work on them. They simply require a technician with a methodical approach to diagnosis and repairs. Not randomly throwing parts at it, or slicing and dicing the wiring until some degree of drivability is achieved.
Just because a trial-and-error merchant gets an automobile up and running, doesn't mean all is well. You may well drive a car that will tolerate poor maintenance more than others, but you may NOT necessarily like it. Because you are basing your preference on the skills that exist local to you. In short, you're allowing your mechanic to dictate what you roll around with. I get your point, and ur right. But I'm saying this from the AVERAGE NIGERIAN point of view. If you're living in Nigeria presently, which I doubt, you'd understand that what I'm saying is CLEAR FACT. Here, Merc and BMW owners mostly go to the auto companies to get their cars fixed since 98% of our Naija local, cheap, mostly road-side-mechanics run away from these cars. Imagine a mechanic referring you to another mechanic whose shop is a mile away from his! So these few who can are in monopoly and would charge a heavy amount of money. Moreover, their parts are very expensive! For these reasons, we average Nigerians prefer Honda and Toyota cars coz even a mechanic apprentice can fix them ...and, of course, WE HAVE TO LIKE THEM |
Car Talk › Re: Mercedes-benz Vs Bmw Vs Audi [ IMAGE ] by Kanyol(m): 1:53pm On Oct 24, 2014 |
I don't like both. Any car that requires a special kind of mechanic to treat its madness is a no no for me. Moreso, their parts are expensive |
