Then let our Efcc write to the UK to search for the man because he said it doesn't belong to him and moreover he can identify him he has a shop in the UK traceable and if he has witness he'll be freed u can't keep him

Ayodele70:
Singer Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, says he has two wives and four children, who are all British citizens.

He also said he is not a criminal and has no idea what the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission found on his laptop.

Naira Marley, who claimed to be 28-years old, said apart from storing his songs and music videos, he had never done anything illegal with his laptop.

The artiste said this in his statement on oath which he made while in EFCC custody, which was obtained by The Punch.

The artiste, who identified himself as a Swedish Yoruba man, wrote,

My name is Azeez Fashola.

“I am married to two wives and I have four kids. They are all British citizens staying in the United Kingdom.

“I studied in the United Kingdom, started studying at Porlock Hall, then I moved to Walworth School where I received my GCSE.

“My results for my GCSE are English (C), Maths (B) and Science (C).

“I left Walworth School with my qualification and went further to study at Peckham Academy, where I got distinction in Business.

“Then, I went further to study at Crossways College where I finished my Business Law; but I had kids at that time, so I took a break and started making music till date.”

According to Naira Marley, he did not own a laptop but was given one to use temporarily to upload videos on YouTube.

He said,

“I started making music in 2014 individually (sic), but now I’m signed to Marathon, a United Kingdom-based record label.

“I had a deal with Coca-Cola for my song, Issa Goal, in which I featured Olamide and Lil Kesh.

“I also had deals with Nike to participate in the Nigerian sportswear (sic).

“I’m in possession of a MacBook laptop, which I borrowed from a friend named Yad Isril in England, because while returning to Nigeria, I knew I was going to need a laptop to upload my music videos on YouTube and also to keep my exclusive songs.”

Naira Marley added,

“I’m in possession of the laptop but I have no idea what is on it apart from my music videos.

According to the artiste, the said laptop had no password and could be accessed by anyone.

He claimed to have met Isril in a secondary school in England.

He owns the butcher’s and an electronics shop in England. He is a British citizen, though his family is from Iraq.

“I don’t have a personal laptop at the moment because I don’t need it.

“My management team handles everything I need to do on the laptop. I only use my iPhone X for everything I do
,” he said.

The EFCC had arrested the artiste on May 10, 2019 together with Omoniyi Temidayo (aka Zlatan Ibile) and three others for alleged advance fee fraud.

Following his arrest, the anti-graft agency filed 11 charges against him.

The charges with suit number FHC/L/178C/19 were filed before a Lagos State High Court.

The artiste was later arraigned before Justice Nicholas Oweibo of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, on May 20, 2019.

Following his arraignment, Justice Oweibo ordered that Naira Marley be remanded in prison custody until May 30 to take the bail application filed by the defence counsel, Taiwo Oreagba, on behalf of his client.

I disagree! People have their faults and not everyone is perfect but when your day job is stealing money that people work hard for then you're not only a criminal but a cold hearted devil. Politicians are bad, yahoo boys are bad too. Let's not put every Nigerian in the same bracket. I for one worked hard to get to where I am oday and I'm still working hard, I've gone from washing floors and lifting boxes at warehouses to managing a whole I.T audit team. Imagine if someone wiped all the money I've saved, do you think I'll forgive such a person because politicians and most Nigerians are also stealing? Till it happens to one of us, we'll never know how truly devastating i feels to be scammed!

I never say yahoo is bad but what I'm calling on this morning was arresting doesn't solve if let us give them alternative before we have mouth to talk an hungry am can do anything to survive that is real fact

Do you think fraudsters don't exist in the UK or the USA? I mean there are plenty of job opportunities there yet they exist! Making excuses for immoral activities is laughable. Is Nigeria poorer than Libya? Poorer than Liberia or Senegal? Yet those countries have a better image than Nigeria when it comes to fraud. Where did you get 90%? That's absurd! We have gainfully employed youths in this country, we have those who refuse to soil their family name. We have entrepreneurs and go-getters, sure they might not be where they want but they realize good name is better than ill gotten wealth that could be taken away in an instant once caught by EFCC. You keep saying if job opportunities exists but tell me whose job is it to provide? I bet you blame the government right?

Did you ever bother to think that the reason why countries like USA and England succeeed is because of the effective partnership between the government, private and public sectors? What have you invented to spur innovation? What problems have the youths solved to warrat investing in them? Average Nigerian graduate cannot compose a well formatted CV, they can't even successfully pass an interview. Average Nigerian even when given the opportunity would rather look for a way to get rich quick by doing shady deals within the company. Our problem is not only lack of jobs or opportunities, it is lack of a well guided moral compass! Most people would say leave yahoo boys alone because they see the whites as strangers but let one of their family get scammed and watch as they rain abuses on the scammer, DOUBLE STANDARDS!

Bro I know, no be scam a whole China is scamming d world?
It's in human blood to want to cheat on d other guy, but in our case, we are so low in thinking that we see it as our only way...
We are in very deep shit and it's our collective fault. Imagine people like Atiku, OBJ, Tinubu, Amaechi, Buhari, Saraki etc. dey get supporters.
Pesin fraud come flaunt the wealth gotten as a result and people actually hail him for doing right.
Not jus d politicians and d yahoo boys, but d plumber on d road side too, d market sellers, d bank CEOs, the university VC etc.
U, i and every other naija out there
See, guy, either we like am or not, we all are Nigeria's prob

Do you think there is no corruption in the USA? Do you think we don't have graduates there working as cleaners or unemployed? Rather than scam or steal, those people would rather reinvent themselves than to become criminals. Your train of thought is that because government is bad, yahoo boys should be left alone. This is very bad! Who's going to fix the government? Is it not people like you and I? How can we fix it if we are already engaging in illicit activities? How can we fight corruption when we are corrupt ourselves? The reason you don't see yahoo as a major problem is because they never scammed you or someone close to you. Imagine you save all the money you had for several years only for one of them to wipe it away in just one day, will you not want to jump off 3rd mainland?

Bruh ! I never justify but i still say it and will continue saying if tbere's work we wont have yahoo boys 90% of youth engage in this already and sending them all to jail isn't the solution i want us to know that so let tackle the source of problem of u have head ache and u take vit c can it cure? Solution to why it has been in existence and not why they doing it let's be honest not everyone has the mind to control pressure of this country

You can have all the degree in the world and still be homeless, hungry and jobless. All the education in the world won't save you from a bad attitude or poor interviewing skills. Nigeria has lots of problems, yahoo or 419 is one of them, if you don't see anything wrong with it, leave your ATM card number and PIN on a public forum, watch someone take all your money and then forgive that person as he or she is only trying to survive!

Bro read well i never say it's of no bad attitude nor trying to justify fraud in any way but when u have headache cutting the head off isn't the solution what are the causes and what will be the most easiest solution !? If we have work 80% of graduate will be work and living fine with families without thinking of this yahoo shit but instead of tackling the ppl who are responsible we keep putting all blames on yahoo boys they are not the major problem of this nation take it or leave it let us do the right thing and see how changes will come just like wanting to collect mad man food u have to trick him with something else no other way and u want to stop them why not providing works and see how plenty youth will come and work and leave the useless life they're into? People like Tony Emelume, Jim ovia, Dangote, Tinubu, Adenuga that are really rich can afford to watch Anthony Joshua or Mayweather fight year in year out. To watch an event for 4m shouldn't be a target in ur life cos u are just making the artist richer.

nelsonjay:
Founder of One Love Family, Satguru Maharaj Ji, has joined the party counselling, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, against going to court to challenge the outcome of the February 23 elections.

According to him, Atiku should spend on orphanages instead of giving money to lawyers to contest the results of the February 23 presidential election.

Maharaj, who also predicted victory for the governorship candidates of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos and Oyo states, said the PDP wasted the country’s resources and did not deserve another chance at governance.

The religious leader spoke during an exclusive chat with our correspondent on Thursday.

While urging the Federal Government to provide adequate security at polling booths, he asked Nigerians to vote for leaders who would move their states forward.

He said, “There is no need for anybody going to court.

“The money Atiku has, he should take it to motherless babies’ homes and rehabilitation centres instead of giving it to lawyers.

“I want Nigerians to exercise their franchise on Saturday peacefully. They should be security conscious.

“In the past, Nigerians were deprived of their rights to elect their leaders. With the government in place now, I believe we have the chance to choose freely.

“This is our chance to vote out poverty, looting, terrorism and all kinds of unproductive attitude in our society.”

He said he believed that the Lagos APC governorship candidate, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, will win.

Maharaj Ji noted that the PDP did not have the goodwill to remove the ruling party in Lagos.

“I don’t know why we are mentioning the PDP. For 16 years, they held us to ransom.

“From what I see through the spirit of the ancestors, Sanwo-Olu will win. Even if you go to Oyo State, the APC candidate will win.

Aticulate Lag my ppl i love you

te author=OEPHIUS post=75660862]

The PDP has massively exhausted the Tafawa Balewa Sqaure, which is the biggest venue for conventions and rallies in Lagos. The Tafawa Balewa Square is three times bigger than the Teslim Balogun Square, which was the venue of the flopped APC Lagos campaign rally. Recall that the APC had their campaign rally in Teslim Balogun Stadium on a weekend, but it was virtually empty, as people could not leave the comfort of their houses for a government that has cost them massive job loss.

However, making more than 30,000 people to attend a rally on a working day such as this, in a highly busy Lagos is worthy of accolades. This shows total acceptability and the yearning of Lagos people for a better Nigeria. Recall that the state has been hit massively by job losses and this rally offers them the opportunity to protest the bad economic policies of the APC-led administration.
