PoliticsRe: Buhari Belongs To Northerners - Adebanjo. by Kapeter(m): 1:06pm On Jan 01, 2020
Btruth:
Buhari Belongs To Northerners, We The Yoruba's Regret Voting For Him – Adebanjo

"It is not a question of a mistake. I warned Tinubu against supporting Buhari ahead of the 2015 presidential election. What is for Tinubu in this government? He has been sidelined. This government is all about Buhari. The greatest mistake made was for Yoruba to vote for Buhari.

"The South-West is regretting voting for Buhari. Tinubu is regretting now – he and his supporters are now regretting helping Buhari to become the president.

"The problem that Yoruba and Nigerians have today was caused by Tinubu. If Tinubu had not gone into an alliance with Buhari, would we be in this position? Tinubu is the cause of Yoruba’s suffering now. He is the cause of Nigerians’ suffering now. He helped a dictator to come to power in the person of Buhari, knowing that he’s a born dictator; an unrepentant conservative and an irredeemable religious jingoist. What has he done in his life that does not show he’s a dictator? By birth and by training, he’s a dictator – go and check his past records as a military head of state.

"President Muhammadu Buhari is president of the North and not president of Nigeria. It is unfortunate that even the international community is also aware of this nepotism – of Buhari’s unbridled desire to favour a section of the country to the detriment of the others.

"Is it only the North that is devastated? What about the Niger Delta region? What exactly has been done to salvage the area? He should focus on productive areas to engender development in the country. Buhari’s body language, words and actions show he is president of the North. Only those who are gullible will accept what his mouthpieces are saying – it’s mere damage control.

"You will notice of late that while the world is doing the best they can to shift their economic focus away from crude oil, the current administration of Buhari is doing the opposite. Despite repeated calls by economic experts, both local and foreign experts, that Nigeria should diversify its economy and be less dependent on oil, Buhari has continued to spend the country’s meager money in our treasury for oil exploration in the North – he is wasting our money.

"Everything that Buhari has done so far since he assumed office as president shows where he belongs to. It is apparent he belongs to nobody but the northerners – he does not belong to everybody in this country. He turns a blind eye to everything happening outside the northern region.

"He has confirmed all the fears I had expressed about him. He has presided over a country that is insecure and has demonstrated intolerance. He claimed to be a born-again democrat when he was contesting the presidency. Buhari will not bother to restructure the country because his people are the beneficiaries of the lopsidedness in the country.

"Buhari only sent the 2014 National Conference report to the National Assembly because he was pressured to do so. He has no interest to restructure. The confusion Buhari and APC are creating about restructuring shows that they are taking the people for granted. How can they be asking what restructuring is? It was made as part of their manifesto. The APC is doing all it can to confuse the people.

—Chief Ayo Adebanjo
Pa Awo caused these lots forefathers headache so tey, millions of them end up suyanized. Now their new generation has start with Tinubu again. Me here right now thinking what and how they will end. Will they end like their frustrated forefathers or maybe worst. This movie will be sweet.

Anytime i see all these ibo threads with nonsense about Yorubas, all i can say is that God bless our forefather, they really dealt with their uncivilized forefathers that their generation unborn are still feeling the heat.

They felt so defeated and had no reasonable comeback that they had to form conspiracy about Pa Awos death.

God bless our forefathers again, we will not fail you, we will continue dealing with them.

CultureRe: Islam In Yoruba Land by Kapeter(m): 1:25pm On Dec 31, 2019
Yoruba had early contact with people from other parts of the west because of the nearness to the atlantic ocean.

Whoever say Yoruba accepted islam during the fulani war is lying, Yorubas were already muslims before then though very few. Yoruba accepted Islam from Malian merchants/traders.

It was reported that when the Malians came, when it's time for prayers, they usually asked for a shield where they can pray from their Yoruba host and as time goes by, their Yoruba hosts start joining them in prayers and that was how Islam came about in Yorubaland.

If you notice, Muslims in Yorubaland are called elesin Male, it is actually elesin Mali(that is people of Malians religion). That was how they were described when they first aceepted Islam from Malians and it persist till today.

There were already muslims in Yorubaland before Dan Fodiyo conquer the hausas through his jihad self.

I'm sure some insurance companies will have to merge or shut down because this recapitalization.
sur, that's the main objective of the recapitalization. Many insurance company in Nigeria are fraudulent in their dealings, they always try to run away from their duty because they are not all that financialy buoyant.

Just like Obasanjo did bank then, it's good how they doing the Insurance sector too. I think this the secont time sha, last i known was 2009 or 10 or so, can't say precisely.
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Insurance Companies Get Recapitalisation Deadline by Kapeter(m): 8:12am On Dec 31, 2019
The f**k is with Naicom? This thing is becoming too much.

It's a wonderful initiative sha, i understand Insurance company needs to be financialy buoyant as that's the reason they are mostly fraudulent in their dealings when it comes to settlement or reinstatement as the case may be.

I studied Insurance by mistake but Nigeria doesn't make the profession attractive at all. If only i had japa to U.K that year, i for don become billionaire now. But Yorubaland anyday, anytime.

CultureRe: Countries Where Yoruba Language Is Widely Spoken by Kapeter(op):
I think writing about countries where Yoruba are almost indigenious or almost part of their everyday life as a result long age interaction is enough. Since there would surely be Yoruba speakers in other countries all over the world as long as migration still takes place in life.
CultureRe: Countries Where Yoruba Language Is Widely Spoken by Kapeter(op):
Now let's move to the carribbeans. The then slaves made up the new nations of the carribbeans, which is why we can say their culture, language and styles are indigenious to the respective countries. So the Yoruba speakers you will find in these countries are those who never lost their identity.

Trinidad and Tobago

the country is a double island west indy country but you will find the Yoruba speakers more on the island of Trinidad. Without much talk, you already know how the language got there.

Cuba

as it is in the case of Trinidad.

And i think that's that for the carribbeans or if you know more kindly let us know.

Now moving to other parts, America to be specific.

Brazil

in the state of Bahia in Brazil, you will find one of the most populated Yoruba community in South America. It is a case of cuba and Trinidad.

USA

by USA, i'm not reffering to Yoruba migrants but to an entire Yoruba village.
Oyotunji was founded in 1970 by Oba Efuntola Oseijemen Adelabu Adefunmi I, it is located in Sheldon, Beaufort County, South Carolina, USA.

it is a village created in honour of their root(the Oyo empire) and it literally means 'Oyo rise again' 'Oyo has risen again'(whichever you deem fit). It contains of a typical Yoruba village settings having purely Yorubas as habitants which means having majorly Yoruba speakers. The present king of Oyotunji is Oba Adejuyigbe Adefunmi II
CultureRe: Countries Where Yoruba Language Is Widely Spoken by Kapeter(op):
Let m start from Home.

Nigeria

Yoruba people have their roots in this very country as you all know.

Benin Republic

Yorua and fon make the two largest tribe in this country. The Yoruba people of Benin actually refuse to have the english colonialist as their master but rather ran to the French voluntarily who where then at the neighboring Togo and henve they were merged with the fons, they'd have eventually be part of Nigeria today.

Togo

Yoruba is spoken by minority Yoruba migrant, Yoruba is never an indegineous tribe here but just a couple of migrants who doesn't abandon their language. Adebayor is a popular son of a Yoruba migrant. The Yorubas in Togo are migrants mainly from today Nigeria.

Ghana

during the slave trading era, Yorubas then migrated in numbers and in such cases, Yorubas migrated to alot of other wetern(Africa) countries. Yorubas in Ghana have been there for over 200 years but of course are not indigineous, mostly migrated from present day Nigeria.
So you will surely regularly find Yoruba language speaker in Ghana.

Notable mention of indegineous Yoruba people of Ghana are the Tabom people of Ghana though they've lost their heritage and communicate in portuguese and local ghanaian dialect.

Ivory Coast

Just like Ghana, this former french colony also is home to Yoruba migrants, they were early migrants who has been living in the country for so long but i really cannot say in particular for how long but you will surely randomly meet people speaking Yoruba on the street of Ivory Coast.

Sierra Leone

Unlike Ghana, Ivory coast and Togo Yoruba language is indegineous to Sierra Leone but some and most of the Yoruba words doesn't really mean the same thing with the original Yoruba words. This is because the language has evolved that it has mixed with their indigineuos language. Although you will still regurlaly meet children of early migrants that still speak the language as it is from the source.

Yorubas even though in minority were part of creation of sierra leone and i think this is the reason the Yoruba language is now part and parvel of their general local dialect.
CultureCountries Where Yoruba Language Is Widely Spoken by Kapeter(op): 12:52am On Dec 31, 2019
I'm creating this thread to assist the other one created earlier.

The op missed vital informations and i'll be addressing all here.

I'm not adding foreign to the countries because even though Yorubas are originaly from the western part of Africa, they are now indigenious to other countries as it is in the Carribeans and in such Yoruba language cannot be described as foreign to such countries.

Many Carribean countries have little or no indigineous people as most of the countries were created during the last phase of salve trades, hence the people that were left there during this period can as well be refer to as indigenious since they formed the creation of these countries.

Now back to the main content, countries all over the world where Yoruba language is widely or in some case in minority but as far as it's spoken, such countries will be looked at here.

raising kids isn't that easy my g especially when parent aren't all that well doing. Not to now talk of the breadwinner dying. Not every kid can take society pressure, sometimes they want to try and help their surviving parent but they mostly don't know it's a foolish part.

That's one thing about cheating in marriage even relationship self. If you don't ruin yourself, you will eventually ruin your partner. Someone sha must pay for it.

The said girl onlt wants to destroy the marriage, op keep praying since you are a believer at least for your own and kids protection.

If i should say you should keep praying for your husband now, only God knows if he'd change. Some of them are addicted to cheating.

Cheating partner is worst than ebola and hiv/aids.
