And as for business wise, Yorubas investments are always home, we hardly invest outside, we do more corporate business than any other tribe in Nigeria, our major occupation is Farming which is cocoa merchants mostly, oil, bitumen in Ondo state, industries in Ogun state(which are mostly fdi), agriculture, seaports and all.

So i really do not see the need to panic over business structure of the new country. We don't need a Nigerian politician for any reason, all we'd be needing is a visionary leader like baba awo and that's all.

Of course he is right that the Yorubas can be on their own. No other region has better human, geographical or material resources to thrive and succeed autonomously than the Yorubas. While I respect Legend Hero's stance, I think self-help is what every region needs to develop in spite of FG incompetence. This is why I tell Igbos their noise of Biafra is fraudulent when the likes of Elumelu reside in Lagos and not see the need to develop their region of origin.

As one example, Nigeria has struggled to refine its crude oil optimally for many decades. This is one of the main reason we are poor as a nation, in comparison to other oil-rich nations, with more Nigerians than is healthy remaining in the abject poverty now creating a crime pandemic for us all today. If we can refine our crude optimally we will meet domestic need and even refine enough to sell and gain the income to address the major challenges facing Nigeria. Instead we send our crude abroad to be refined by others and then sold back to Nigeria that is then forced to sell to Nigerians at a loss , more or less, with fuel subsidy.

Yet that problem will now be solved when the Dangote private refinery in Lekki , the biggest refinery in Africa by far, is operational. We have many billionaires like Dangote in Yoruba land who can take a hands-on approach to solve our greatest challenges of healthcare, power supply, transport, quality education, security, access to business start-up finance etc, etc. We know SW is ahead but let us not kid ourselves. The black man, including Yorubas, remain selfish and myopic. It is just that the degree of such vary from one ethnic group to another hence the reason the Yorubas appear better off. Overall, more can and should come from private sector funding if the black man appreciates the ethos of self-help as others do worldwide.

Good governance helps but there simply is not enough money to create the world class transport, healthcare, security, recreational, educational and power sector we all desire if private sector money does not proactively partner public sector administration to move us forward. Granted that in Oodua Republic we will have the autonomy to move progressively free of the encumbrance of other regions of Nigeria and unimpeded by the central policies crafted by others who are more conservative and less visionary than the Yorubas. I can support that consideration and in this regard I agree with Legend Hero that Oodua Republic sounds interesting. Still, I need to see more from our business and political leaders to be convinced we will make and sustain the right level of progress if we separate from Nigeria.

where will get it all wrong was when we allowed them to create states from the old western region, that was the greatest mistake ever, you know Ibadan was the only and major recognise capital of entire Yorubaland even pre-indepence while Lagos was the commercial center, evey Yoruba work hard then for the development of this very two cities cuz that's where all yoruba pledge their allegiance and reason the two cities were fast developing, immediately they created states out of the western region, everyone faced their new states and abandoned the two cities, Lagos was able to stand because it was the capital buh Ibadan suffered it the most as the formal capital and one of the fastest developing city in the world then, that was how it was left to ruins all this while untill 2014 when Oodua investment company which has been owned by the old western region raised the alarm of abadonment which eventually led to the creation of dawn commission, this new organization was hence tasked with the development in the region, and they with Oodua investment are really doing a very wonderful job in trying to revive the lost glory.

It was dawn commision that hosted the governors the other time when fulani menace was so rampant where they decided on joint regional security and many other that they are doing, go to Ibadan and see new estates springing up, thanks to Oodua investment.

It's not enough you know, there's really nothing as good as having a soverign state where all your resources are used by you for yourself and also, our brothers in Kwara and Kogi are left out in the development. And then again, the two organisation are all about reviving Ibadan first which other state are complainimg about as stakeholders, they want their presence in their states too buh you know how many years Ibadan has been left for ruins, reviving it will take time. And again the two organization can only handle few, they can't do FG jobs like roads and other development, the way badagry has also been left for ruins too is worrisome and many other reason we must continue to push for ourown sovereign state no matter the tactics the north employ. If our people are being massively denied visa to developed countries they would see the need for a better oduduwa.
