I think felo247 has a point, mallsmsk should identify himself to him for the avoidance if doubt. Don't be disappointed but the way information has been scarce commodity in this thread and for someone to suddenly come out and start offering to go and check names for people is bound to raise suspicion

To answer your question, that is where professionalism comes into play. How would you compare nimc to inec? Didn't you see how nimc display competency moreso, which 1 is right, APL before training or training before APL? Judge it yourself. Name 1 company who would give you APL before u r trained @ entry level. As far as am concern nimc followed the recruitment procedure even in developed world. Nobody would temper with your APL, because nimc choose based on merit Okay just trust in God. God bless nimc
God less us all
God bless naija!!!

The Standard Procedure is to give someone his Appointment first then he writes an acceptance letter indicating that he has accepted the offer. That means you now have a legally binding agreement. This the way it is done in government and in private sector all over the world, in most cases like in banks you get your training on the job.
When i started working in the banking industry i was on the job for 3 months before going to training school, some of my colleagues that i trained with had been in the job for 2 years before training. The only instance where you see people getting trained before getting appointment is where the recruiting organization intends to further whittle down the numbers, its as simple as that.

bigbroda:

It's not true. Though about 200 missed the induction(personal observation), some deliberately missed it cos they weren't interested in the job. I said 200 using the number(about 25) dat missed in my class and multiplying dat with d 8 classes available during the induction cos we had 2 sets 4 each batch(induction took place at Vines hotel and NIMC HQ simultaneously for the 4 batches with each class having about 150 meaning about 300 per batch i.e. 150 at Vines, 150 at NIMC HQ for each batch). If you multiply dis 300 by the 4 batches, u'll discover dat about 1,200 were meant 2 be at the induction.

Now lemme give u guyz d figures given by d DG concerning the recruitment exercise:
158,490 applied
24,450 wrote the test
5,750 were interviewed
1,400 were given offer
The statistics above reveals dat 4,350 weren't offered d job for this very set. They might call more people especially when the LG offices come up(personal opinion) and also considering the fact that the project is a very big one dat requires much hands coupled with the time frame/deadline(December 2013) Mr President gave the commission for the registration of all Nigerians. Also considering the 200 left from d 1,400 since about 1,200 were invited for the 4 batches)

I'm not here to discourage anyone but to throw light to some issues. The truth is dat many didn't succeed for this very set(4 batches) while few made it and weren't informed(I feel the figure of those dat made it and weren't aware should be between 100-150 since the rough calculation of those dat missed the 4 batches is about 200). We should also note dat some dat missed their induction joined the next batch cos I met a lady in dat position)

Let's keep hoping 4 d best and remain close to God. U won't get the job if only it's not the best for you cos God has a beautiful plan for everyone.

One luv!

well said bigbroda, we should always pray that the Almighty should give us what is best for us.

Hello people, from my observation no IT personnel have been called, seeing that these people are MISSION CRITICAL to the exercise we can expect that there will be more inductions very soon, lets keep hope alive.

y dont u guys submit ur name list so dat someone can be compiling them. it will be easier for anyone I mean anybody to help you guys check your name on the list. am 70% sure dat more than 900 have bee called for apl documentation/induction... the last set was dat was just concluded comprised mostly d managers n supervisors. I was in d training hall wen they were having d last slide on d Nimc mandate n NIMS components. after which their documentation started around 3:30pm... while some oda batches are having their induction at d Vines hotel... add those figures together. u can deduce something from that. so state ur names here someone will compile dem together n take to those dat will check it for..fyi another set of induction is coming up next week but it will be for the current staff members who had been working with Nimc ryt from inception. dont ask me wer I got this cos I wont say anything on dat. may God help us all. am also awaiting my deployment letter but am bk home. for nos[/quote

write247ng:

I stand to dispute that fact that you said that 1400 people that the DG said was approved by the mgt has been approved.
This cannot be true because NIMC cannot accommodate all the 1400 in the four batches for training, induction and documentation.
So do not say things here that you are not very sure of and kill others faith because you have been called.
You are not in NIMC HCP or HR to say that.

You are quite correct here write247, a lot of what is said here is speculation based based on personal opinion. To begin with how many of the people who applied for are even on this forum? So we can not use the numbers here as a basis for analysis. Anyway. I want to make a suggestion to those of us that are still around. We have NIMC email address, we can all send them emails suggesting/requesting that they publish a list of those called for induction henceforth, it will ease a lot of tension both us and them, they may respond and they may not but at least we would know we have tried.

Hi everyone, i was reluctant to make a comment on this threat so as not to get torn apart by negative comment but i have gained a lot from here,so here goes... I completed my induction yesterday and from what i saw, i will advise anyone dat has been interviewed to try n get someone to check their names because a lot of pple didnt come due to not knowing, some pple just showed up even yesterday without any texts n found their names there, they came from far n near. Concerning the 1400 pple, all been included in this induction except those that didnt get texts or emails to bé here, this is from a reliable source. More might bé called later but those on ground now have to bé sorted out first concerning posting and people are even complaining about the grade lavels they were placed on and you know how slow NIMC has been with this process.my advise, keep busy doing what you are doin now,and keep praying.

thank you for your concern funke, may God Bless You. Just a point of clarification do you mean that 1400 people have already been inducted?

Walert: Anybody who is not interested in d pay should not bother to accept d offer. There are millions out there looking for job that will grab d offer.I am sure u know not all that glitters is gold.Posterity will tell.A word is enough for d wise.NIMC cannot release only 57K into ur account and expect u to live in Abuja. Those at d helms of affairs including d DG u remember came from d banking/private sector.Check out their profile. They understand what good welfare package does on staff motivation.Just do the right thing to prevent future regret. You hv heard testimonies of those formerly in d private sector.
well said my brother, the issue here is that nobody begged anyone to work for NIMC. Every one here is here by his own decision. What people are failing to see is that NIMC is positioned to be a key player in the countries affairs and will touch every sector of the economy, and will be a Revenue Earner. an organization like this even if it is paying 57K now will not continue like this. It has gone to a great extent to employ performers and will not be so short sighted as to lose them over the issue of pay. As walert has already said the DG is a banker and is looking to employ people who can get the job done.

I want to assure my people out there especially those that attended d interview that NIMC will surely invite u for documentation and APL letter, it s just a matter of time... So pls my people just calm down and find comfort for sure before this year elapse we will all rejoice together (all that attended d intvw) because NIMC invite less than 3 thousand for interview nd they need more than 4 thousand people in different position... Those placed on level 12 are experienced officers, when applying there was a guideline for the numbers of years of experience required for each post. It seems you applied without reading the guidelines.

Pls let us wait till thieason of APL/Induction is over before opening the BB /WhatsApp Forum. It is negatively affecting this thread for now.Remember we started this struggle together and courtesy demands we wait for all to come on board. This thread is gradually going down when many are still on their knees praying for a joyful life changing txt msg from NIMC.I applied as a state customer care manager and Im eagerly expecting my APL from NIMC in Jesus name. You guys supply updated info on this thread while we the old papas just contribute once in a while.Dont let this thread die.One love!

pinaroll: I congratulate all the people that have gotten their SMS.
This new whatsapp and BB group that is being formed will divert a lot of information from this thread, we all use BB's but we do not have to use it to divert information cos whether you like it or not some people have been added to that BB group and they will no longer pass information here, its going to just be amongst them.
If you notice, since yesterday discussion on this thread has reduced drastically, I guess its as a result of the new group formed.
So my people, for the sake of those in this thread let's come back here. Cheers
You have a point on this matter but you see the issue is this, the group is for NIMC Staff while this forum is for NIMC Applicants LOL. While the discussion on that group will be about goings on in organisation which should be privileged information, the best we can do is to appeal to those who have already been appointed to keep us up to date as to matters relating to us, best regards
