Guys, does anyone here have experience with transferring money out of a Nigerian pound account? I had my proof of funds in a pound account with zenith bank and now it's time to pay fees but they tried two transfers to an account abroad and both bounced. I am really confused. |
olushola4me:No, I did not have any transactions on the account, just the incoming. |
Guys, I used a Zenith bank pound account as my proof of funds. Now I want to travel and transfer the money to a UK pound account. How do I go about it? Has anyone done an international transfer from their Dom account? Please walk me through the steps. Also has anyone booked a ticket with flyonsafeair.com? Are they reliable? |
jeslom:Are you referring to TLS biometric site? |
Good morning, I need some advice. I got masters admission for 2 year course. I have paid deposit and I am in the process of gathering my funds for student visa. In showing proof of fund, do I need to have the full school fees or is showing proof of 1 year school fees enough? Anyone has experience with 2 year courses? Thanks |
Thanks, I think we will start working on this now then so it can be in the account for sometime before I have to show POF. Thanks everyone for the answers. Paparaxo: |
Thanks for your reply, she did start transferring some of the funds to me earlier in the year to build my account, but stopped after the exchange rate started climbing rapidly. The amount she transferred to me has depreciated already so that was why we decided to leave the amount in her account in the UK. What will you advise when it comes to time to apply for visa, should she still transfer it to me? And how do I then prove to the ECO that I got the funds cause I would then have to disclose that it’s from my sister? Is there a way of keeping the money so it remains at the pounds value? Good morning guys, I am new here so I have a couple of questions, please bear with me. 1. I am living in Nigeria, working after completing NYSC a few months ago, but I have applied for a 2 year masters in the UK for winter entry. My sponsor is my sister who is in the UK. How do we go about using her as my sponsor? 2. When showing proof of fund, considering my program is a 2 year program, am I to show the full 2 year fees as available at time of application, or is showing proof of fund for 1 year of the fees adequate? 3. Based on the current clime in terms of visa sponsorship, what is the duration of the postgraduate visa after completing masters? Is it still 2 years as before? Or has it been reduced to 6 months? 4. Anyone going for winter entry here? What’s the timeframe for schools to process applications please as it’s almost August and I applied two months ago but have not heard back from the schools. |
In filling this form A, I am encountering a lot of issues, please if anyone can help. On the page where they ask to fill in the school address, there are blank spaces to put in the details, but for the option of country, there's a drop down list to pick the country the school is at. When I click that drop down option, it lists countries from A to B, stopping at Bermuda, it doesn't offer the full list of countries so I am unable to click Canada. I have tried on a computer and on a phone but no option to pick Canada. Has anyone experienced this please?. Thanks.

Congratulations , I tap into it. Your timeline was quite fast, did you use NSE route?? Herlymah1295: |
Does the upfront medical expire? How soon before your application can someone do the medical. Thanks. Leadforteservic: |
These are useful recommendations, but I was hoping for a higher degree. Please any suggestions for PGDip or MSc in human resources? Thanks. bullstriker: |
Please advise on options for post graduate degree in Canada (PGD or masters) for someone who has a 2:1 in Political science/Human resources. Thanks |
Hello, Please, for someone who studied political science/public administration, what masters program will you suggest for them apart from human resources. Thanks. |
Thanks, that's assuring, cause I was worried about the black market rate issue. I haven't really seen anyone on this group mention NSE as the means they got their visa, is this route still valid?.

|
Thanks for the reply. As follow up, considering most monetary transactions is done by black market, any amount she moves to my account is going to be by black market from the foreign currency. So example, the 3.3million naira for $10k CAD would be gotten via black market pounds rate. Does the VO question this?. I mean the imbalance between her account debit and my account credit? Second time asking please, if anyone that has sponsor abroad or knows about this could help. My sister abroad is my sponsor and her funds is in foreign currency. I am hoping to apply for next year towards Fall 2023 entry but we are trying to get some advice on funds. Would you advice she leaves the funds with her or should she transfer it to her Nigerian account?. And if she is transferring, does doing a lump sum close to the application time look bad, or should she start now and start transferring over a period of time monthly? Generally, what should someone who has a foreign sponsor do about POF ? |
On this issue of sponsorship. Is it better to have your sponsor submit their account showing the fund or is it better to have the money moved to you account with a gift deed? Please those with experience, which one is preferable?. And for a post NYSC person traveling for school, single with no kids, what will you advise as ties to country please. Thanks. sambless2013: |
Is anyone here interested in University of York? Thinking of doing Sept 2023. My sister who's abroad is sponsoring me though. In submitting proof of fund, should she move the money to her Nigerian account or leave it in the original currency of the country where she is? |
Hello, I need help, I don't know where to start or if it is even possible. I am a youth corper finishing service in January and not yet keen to go into the work force immediately after I return to my home state. My sister lives in the UK and has invited me to visit her for two weeks early next year after my passing out. She is sponsoring my trip and has a good account balance and good paying job over there. 1. What kind of documents do I need to submit to show that I am genuinely going for a visit as a tourist to see a family member. Anyone had this experience before, especially as someone with not much attachment in Nigeria, since I am going to be leaving NYSC soon. 2. If my sister gave me a lump sum of about a million naira to my account as a gift deed to support my application, will that be acceptable? P.S: Lots of young people all over the world travel around, especially after school before they settle down to find a job or further their career. It's just sad that we are not afforded the same opportunity to be simple tourists without jumping through so many hoops. |
golor:How can one get even if it is the student copy of transcript? I need help. |
