They don't pay corpers oo. Though I was told, by an older corper, that they pay 2500, but nothing yet. I just want to give him this month since we -Batch B's- started work fully this december after much turn arounds.

Thanks for your care... Enjoy remain for me oo. Na so so AC we dey receive here oo. No work but there seems to be room to learn from him (my Boss). Tinx are very costly here in Asaba and Corps members are less valued unlike in the villages. When are you coming back so we get to meet before I leave?

Work has been wonderful and stressful oo. My boss said I must come to work by 8 and leave by 5pm. Seems he's trying to ruin my service year. I don't know what to do cos I'm the only guy in his office.
Have you guys heard of the inec registration stuff? Endeavour to do yours if you've not cos it,s closing on the 11th.

Counting d days spent and yet to be spent will deny you much of the camp fun. Just zero your mind and catch all d fun while it last. Trust me you'll wish never to leave camp towards the end. How was your first day in camp? I know you must have been taught the NYSC Anthem and the various sounds of the Bigu (camp trumpet)... Like dat of food which sounds like: "Yeye Corper your food is ready." Have a wonderful camp experience.

the truth is many are not nairalanders, u will b surprised when u c many ppl in camp, we numbered up to 2,800+ but I was unable to meet any nairalander trout my stay in camp, its not funny

I've bin a nairalnder since before camp. Maybe it's because you never joined the Prospective NYSC batch B14 thread. Whc LG were you posted to? I'm in Asaba, Ministry of Works.

What essential documents do we really need gan gan to avoid carrying huge file up and down...

For convenience sake, make 5 photocopies each for all documents you're travelling with except for your school I'd whc you can make just 2 so as not to waste your money and paper but take like 22 passports for your safety cos you'll use all both in camp (16) and in your Local Govt of deployment.

Congratulations to you Batch C Otondos. Here is a tip for those travelling down to Issele-Uku camp from d East. Take a bus to Onitsha, find your way to the great River Niger head-bridge park. Board a bus going to Agbor then stop at Issele-Uku junction. Board a byke straight to the camp (200-250). Luckily, you might find a bus heading straight to the camp (500).

Live in NYSC Permanent orientation camp Issele-Uku Aniocha North L.G.A Delta state. What mixed feelings. Missing those good old days in Okpe Kingdom hostel with Bishop, Muri, Buchi etal. and in the multi-purpose lecture hall with Jemima, Tayo etal., the parade ground with #Platoon 2 and in the Chapel with Linda, Muna, Chibuzor, Mamoo. Would love to witness dat experience once more.

It's only paid twice during the service year. First, in camp and the other @ the end (1500). The allowance is for your travelling back home.

Hmm... So sorry abt dat. BTW, confirm if those that opened their account with same bank as yours have been paid. If so, write to your state coordinator, through your Zonal Inspector, through your Local Governmet Inspector telling them of your predicament cos d money is yours. *in my ZI's voice*... It's bad/sinful if you don't collect your alawee. But if you redeployed, then confirm if your state of deployment have started paying. My piece though. Don't worry about it shaa. NYSC will still pay you even if you don't get it now.

A Batch B 2014 Corps member who camped in #Issele-Uku Delta State died after a brief illness when he traveled home (to Lagos) to enjoy d 2 weeks after-camp break.
May his soul rest in peace.

I'm doing great. Enjoying the boring life in Asaba.
D PPA just dey dere o... Have been accepted. Though We (Batch B's posted to the ministry) are still waiting for approval from the Hon Commissioner. They gave us clearance form for our clearance which is a good sign of acceptance.
