You don't need a special long prayer before eating. The Bible never said Jesus after Praying then ate No! but " After he had given thanks he brake the bread"

Except if you suspect the food to have been poisoned or poorly prepared should you devote time on prayer before meal.

Someone up there said the Christians pray before meal because of fear as if there was poison in it, the food would be sanctified and I quoted him and said " You will never understand from now till eternity "

We don't pray because of fear but to say thanks for the provision of the food and the health to eat. So if per adventure it is poisoned without our knowledge then the power of God neutralizes it. Yes it is very possible.

The Bible say you shall trample on Snakes and scorpions and nothing by any means shall hurt you.

Poison is part of the snakes and scorpions. Non Christians will quote me with their attacks but we are used to it.

An Act of Thanksgiving is a form of prayer. As long as it's a communication with God.
