Vlahovic and Osimhen had similar stats until Osimhen got injured.

Cavani will not perform better than Osimhen or Vlahovic in Serie A, take it anywhere. In fact go and ask the Napoli fans that Cavani is even their club legend. Mertens that is Napoli all time top scorer even ahead of Cavani, Higuain and Maradona, no be the same Osimhen dey bench am before he injure?
I guess this is Osimhen's stats at Napoli, dude stop being a troll

Cavani is in another class Osimhen is trying to get to. Osimhen is good but to compare with Cavani is really not fair
Dude it's not even worth it, how many of our ex players at 34/35 were in top clubs like Manchester United before they retired? Sometimes they just make comments to start irrational arguments.

On a serious note, who will Chelsea prefer to buy?

OSIMHEN

OR

CAVANI.

I am sure all will say Osimhen but yet some are trying to make it as if Cavani is a better player than Osimhen today.
Dude, like seriously? Osimhen that his best goal tally in the league is 13 goals, lol.

Samu was probably off form.
Could Ejuke have done any better?
Ejuke was also clueless in the games he played, it's a pity that in a squad of 28 players we can't count up to 10 players that did well in this tournament (8/10) displays.
We were wasteful up front on several occasions against all the teams we played in the group stage with majority of them coming from selfish plays from our wingers and forwards.
We should just move on and focus on the March games

All these vitupérations and curses on Maduka sounds like a personal thing.
That guy is 22 for God’s sake! A literal baby compared to our former goalkeepers who were well into their thirties. You were nowhere relevant when you were at his age.
The average Nigerian 22-year old is still forming small pikin and eating from mummy’s pot.
That dude needs our support now. At least, he will never make the same mistake again.
Cut Maduka some slack! No be him fault say him fine
The worst part was that we didn't look like scoring in that game yesterday and most likely would have ended in a stalemate and penalties, the team became clueless once Simon was sandwiched with Chukwueze turning himself into a comedian.

if you noticed the tunisians played double full backs and hardly bombed forward just to make sure thst they kept our flankers on check

i expected eguavoen to instruct moses and chukwueze to release the ball faster to the nearest man or tell iheanacho to make himself available close to our flankers when ever they re with the ball to ease pressure from them

its not all about playing pretty football but when the chips are down do we have a plan B or even C?

the first 20 mins of the game was enough for our coach to notice the negative style of the tunisians
I noticed that as well, hopefully the team learns from this and not repeat these type of mistakes.

this is where that tactical input we have been harping on since morning comes in

in situations like this eguavoen would have instructed him and moses to release passes faster to the nearest man since both have been double marked by the tunisians then later sub chukwueze for iwobi who drifts to the middle often which will draw the 2 markers placed on that position out to make room for aina to bomb forward. also bring in an onyeka for iheanacho to help in the middle then move aribo to the 10 position

this is simple tactics which would have neutralized the game plan of the tunisians
Exactly, they would have made things easier if they were releasing their passes on time rather than holding onto the ball for a while.
Hopefully the team and the new coach learns from this and addresses this problem.

Sincerely I am also surprised he's not receiving d same bashing akpeyi received on dis thread..truly its good to be loved

Going forward.. Chukwueze needs to b excused for a while from d national team and focus solely on his form and club football..I can't remember d last time he played well for us...amoo,lukman,ejuke and co can fit in for now
I'm afraid I'll have to agree with you, the boy kept delaying passes by holding onto the ball for too long and trying to take on 3 opponents at once when it would have been easier to just give a pass.
There was a time in the second half he decided to take a direct shot at goal from a virtually impossible angle to score from when someone else was in a better position to make a direct attempt if he had give him a pass.
His constant brainless and selfish play from the wings has become his undoing.

If this was a first time offense, no problem but this guy has been showing absolute lack of goalkeeping talent. It's just like he was picked to play in goal because he was tall, not because he was any good in catching a football.
I know he's at fault for the goal we conceded but then, he's been first choice goalkeeper at his club for 2 seasons now and he still has a long way to go to improve.
Uzoho is just slightly better than him and he too is not in Enyeama or Ikeme's class.
Like I said the coaching crew need to do intensive scouting for quality players in every department.
We can't afford to be going to tournaments with a first 11/15 and 8 carpenters.

We all know the boy is not cut out for professional football. He is not even average. A very poor poor goalkeeper. The worst I have seen for Nigeria.
Going to embarras himself and by extention Nigeria in the Epl is a no no... He should find a loophole in the contract and cancel.
Dude chill, he can learn a lesson from this and improve. Even Ikeme at 22 wasn't exceptional and was constantly shipped out on loan to league 1 and league 2 clubs in England. Also top class goalkeepers have days when they are comical from time to time and this should be a learning point to the coaching crew to scout for more players, not just goalkeepers. So many carpenters were present in this team that went to Afcon.
