embarassed The only sector thriving under this useless regime is the crime and corruption industry. The lifeless gworo chewing jihadist has destroyed everything else. It's not 95% that are corrupt, a whooping 100% of them are, it took you threatening to call the Swiss embassy for them to come to their senses, who knows what ordinary Nigerians pass through in that place on a regular basis.

So , brother , you think Nwakali and Aribo had the same struggle ? A boy who waa born and raised in a first world England with all the government social programs for indigent families , security and regard for human life is being compared to another from a third world country where one senator pockets a salary that could feed a whole village! This sort of mentality is hurtful to all the children suffering because of wickedness of their leaders.

Aribo dropped out of college because he has no interest in university education not because his parents could not npay his fees or the government could not provide financial aid....you must not defend nonsense just to winargument.
You keep trying to derail the thread with rubbish politics and government nonsense. Lots of Nigeria-eligible players come through the youth ranks of English and German club sides steadily and not all of them eventually make it to professional level.

You cant pick and chose your items of comparison: aside Sadiq Umar there were other players who haven't made it yet. Obinna Nwobodo invitation was clamored for while he was still at Denmark , Michael Kingsley is still struggling and many others. So , give us the full dose and not pick what suits your bias opinion.

You kept making comparisons which makes you to lose the crux of the argument , which is that we need a proper midfield controller. Stop making comparisons and suggest who will replace Nwakali if you drop him.
He should never have been called up, why is there a need to drop anyone. There are over 5 other midfielders better than him in the team

Soccer is quite uniqu when compared to the corporate fields; there is a situation that brought about Nwakali's inclusion. We need a proper midfield controller , which we lacked and was hurting us badly. Making comparisons is out of question.

You could argue he has not been impressive but saying he has not been decent is not proven , because he plays most of Huesca games.

Finally , who would you take if Nwakali is dropped ?
Sadiq Umar like Nwakali struggled earlier in his career at Roma and Rangers, went to Serbia where he performed and now at Almeria where he has been one of the best players in the league and for his team.
The same can't be said about Nwakali he is neither one of the best players in his team or in the league. As much as I'm not a big fan of second division football at least Umar made a case for himself.
All this your talk of proper midfield controller in nonsense because all forms of the current midfielders we have CM,AM,DM all have more goal contribution than him in a much more tougher and better league

i think Nwakali even had the easier path but failed to take advantage
He thinks it's only players born in Nigeria that have it hard, forgetting that the players themselves need to put in the needed effort to make it/progress. His brother Chidiebere is currently without a team for a year now despite showing much promise.

I left the miserable country because it brought nothing but pains and suffering to my life.
It's still not an excuse to support rewarding mediocrity over excellent performances. In corporate world people with excellent/decent KPIs, metrics and perform well get rewarded. Nwakali hasn't been decent or excellent this season but it's Nigeria so I'm not surprised.

The northerners and southwesterns will never voted and Igbo man in a major election....nobi preference. You Nigerians are hypocrites...dmh
I knew this was your reason all along for your blind support of Nwakali, you have no shame at all. Rewarding a non performing player because he was born in Nigeria over the ones performing better than them born elsewhere.

Please , I know we are "all smart" here , so , let's us act like it.

Now , since Ndidi started turning up for Leicester what has he brought to the Eagles ? Answer is NOTHING! The guy is a failure with SE and even cost us a nation's cup glory. Open your eyes and stop pretending like you don't know Ndidi brings nothing to the table.

With Nwakali , even when he was unfit and played for Eagles...you could see what he is capable of doing. Yes , he has not being lucky with club football, but so are many great players , who are stuck in lowly rated clubs.

Take Awaziem for instance , he deserve better.

Another example is Wilfred Zaha who we all know is better that the guy Man City signed from Aston Villa for 100 million...but look at his performance. Sometimes , your performance at your club boils down to many factors.

Nwakali has been playing and remained consistent in his showing and if we are lacking in midfield then he deserve a bleeping invitation, for goodness sake. Your midfield has suffered because you don't have creative players , but you don't want to try something different and invite Nwakali....what is the sense in that ?
How did Ndidi cost you nations cup glory? Algeria were the better side on that day and deserved to win the competition. What is Nwakali capable of doing that he hasn't done in his professional career? He is stuck in a lowly rated club and still anonymous. Zaha is stuck at Palace and delivers for them on a continuous basis. This is the messiah's CV below

Ndidi doesn't bring anything to the table , to be sincerely honest. Therefore , I dont see the reason for the importance attached to Ndidi.

In fact , I am beginning to feel the high value placed on Ndidi is one of the reason this current Eagles keep fumbling. You guys kept thinking Ndidi will come and save SE because he plays for Leicester. But you couldn't be more wrong because Ndidi is actually holding us back while you guys keep believing he will move us forward with his "world class" status. Its high time Ndidi is benched or moved to CB where he belongs.

My hope is that he doesn't start and Onyeka will take his place with Nwakali in the middle...I want to see how this experiment will go.
Nwakali the messiah is struggling at Huesca while Ndidi is in one of the best teams in England and has more goals contribution than the messiah this season for their respective teams.

If you play a striker as a defensive midfielder you cannot expect him to play well. Everybody and their parents know that Aribo plays best the closer he gets to the opponents' goal. I don't know why Rohr adamantly refused to play him where he is best utilized. It is not his fault he has not performed as well as expected.

Nwakali is not going to bench Aribo as an AM. He could as a CM or if Eguavoen decides to follow ERohr's footsteps, but if not tthen forget it. Nwakali still has a long way to go to get to Iwobi's level, let alone Aribo.
Nwakali 18 appearances 0 goals 0 assists this season
Aribo 20 appearances 6 goals 4 assists this season
But Nwakali is the best thing to happen to the SE midfield, best free kick taker, best ball controller, best long ball player and so on. This is a reflection of what Nigeria is, mediocrity everywhere.

Seyi can start the journey of redefining our football if he has the right ideas. He can come up with a working plan, prepare dossiers, and advice the NFF team when they are derailing.

It was a chance to become the Nigerian Football Federation's technical director. He would have been the one to provide the answers. Hiding under the sand of them being clueless does not count.

Under Obasanjo's government, we had lots of clueless people in power. That did not stop Ngozi Okonjo Iweala from working with Obasanjo to carry out one of the best economic transformations that was enjoyed by three governments after Obsanjo.
Having the right ideas without the resources to carry out your work effectively only amounts to constant headaches. Again the NFF have shown little desire to provide resources to move Nigerian football forward, we don't even have a decent stadium to play our home games.
Virtually all our friendlies in Europe are being played in 5th division training pitches.
Seyi decided to leave them to drown in their folly, trying to save them will be a suicide mission.

Why won't I understand, is it rocket science or Nuclear physics?

The point is simple. Seyi pointed about vision, where we are, and where we are going? He wanted a bunch of politicians to give him those answers.

My point is simple, come in and give the country direction. That is what the technical director should do. Provide those answers. Lay down the vision and goals for the Nation's football. They do not know, that is why they are reaching out to him.

If he is excusing himself because of corruption, to protect his integrity, etc, he should tell us that. Don't tell us vision, and goals, etc.
So before Seyi pointed out a vision they never had one, why would he want to work with clueless people that have a history of incompetence and unprofessional work ethics that are always filled with drama even to the most basic things.
Was it not here that we heard that in 2016 it was Mikel that funded their flight to Rio Olympics after hotel bills couldn't be paid and at times players travel to tournaments with insufficient kits or even pay coaches on time.
Who in the right mind will want to work for such an organization that can't get little things done right, they'll just tarnish his career and pin all the blame on him.
