The current os cannot give you that eps.

It's correct (up until 15 Sept '24)

This was calculated using OS of 217,242,218 (4,344,844,360 ÷ 20).

However, I understand that this disclosure should be included to avoid misleading many...

This is about 68% earning per share if you relate with the share price of N702.

No oil company in Nigeria doing this. Not even 20%. So look very closely so there is no misleading. Perhaps the report may be based on a smaller outstanding shares.
What you should do is to do your own due diligence by dividing the profit after tax with the current OS of about 4.3B units so you can see if you will arrive at what you posted

Attached below is Q1 2024 and H1 2024 reports on a flash

For Q1
N22B pat divide by 4.344B OS will give u less than N6 EPS for Q1 if u use the current OS.

For H1
N101B pat divide by 4.344B OS gives around N24 EPS

Thanks. Seplat has 588m OS and priced at 5k. Aradel with over 4bn OS and at N700 is about N200 over priced in comparison with Seplat.

Lots of confusion RE: Aradel. Efforts were made to stop trading yesterday but will trade today. However, Hearing October 14th has been delayed although they are actively trying to make that date.

It’ll be last close price tomorrow, the stock should trade tomorrow but I’ve head there were efforts to stop it today. NGX made an error in stating the listing price will be 469.95 but they’ve now retracted, was an error from where they got the information from.
