Let's wait until JAPAUL gets a CPR for the explored gold. I want to check something. Until then, let's keep the JIJO alive... |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 3:02pm On Feb 23 |
Now you are missing it. The rally was not because the gold was just discovered. Rather it's the commissioning of the gold processing plant + the timeline for commercial production. Like I said previously, I'm in it for JIJO until fundamentals change... PS: the bolded is INFERRED resources NOT reservesawesomeJ: I wasn't.
I'm only saying the fact that news of suspension could trip its run indicates shallowness inherent in the run.
$1.8bn of actual gold reserves would have made it a well grounded run. |
Investment › Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by KarlTom: 2:43pm On Feb 23 |
Why are you comparing gold with brass awesomeJ: No doubt!
But they( the suspended and failed tickers) aren't pushing dangote cement or mtnn to full offer?
If the gold was real, it would have kept the run. |

Okay Sir! deathwing: Anything not held by the NNPC is held by Dangote. Otedola’s name is not inside. NNPC will probably be one of the major institutional investors at/before IPO. Prolly try to get back to the 20% they missed out on before. |

With FOte$ inside? 🤔 Streetinvestor2: Dangote Refinery shares will end up like Airtel shares when listed after sometime. Thr will be hardly 100k units to move it up. |

FOte$ already holds a sizable %. Reason I said that I don't understand how that NNPCL stake will play out zendi: Aliko will list another 10% by intro as I heard, and keep the rest.
Scarcity will launch the stock price to the moon, and carry Aliko up like an escalator into the top 10 of Forbes and/or Bloomberg wealth list.
That is the game, and nobody's heart should be failing. It will still always be available like other stocks, at a price. If it is 100 units you can afford, then that one will be sitting on the shelf of your pfolio like a trophy, comforting you.
DD will not be necessary.

NNPC holds about 7.25% (on behalf of Nigerians). Not sure how this % plays out eventually... mikeapollo: But that is the current holding before the public offe. We don't know what percentage he is going to release to the public yet. He may give 22.5% or more to the public while he keeps like 60-70% to himself |

I'm using this weekend to do MORE research on JAPAUL... KarlTom: Actually, INFERRED gold is VERY different from PROVEN reserves. Infact that word RESERVES shows that the gold actually exists AND is measurable. Inferred reserves are the least certain categorization of mineral resources. If I recall correctly, we have Inferred >> Indicated >> Measured >> Proven. Proven is the highest level. That is the reason E&Ps like OandO can use their PROVEN resources as collateral for loans.
“Inferred” resource means there is geological evidence and limited sampling that suggests mineralization. It can be converted into a more certain category through extensive drilling and evaluation.
So far JAPAUL has not released any disclosure on its PROVEN reserves. If this inferred 20tons is upgraded to PROVEN, JAPAUL literally [and fundamentally] rerates and turns to a double-digit stock (add the refinery and we are in eldorado)...

There are several options before ELLAH mgt right now:
- reach out to some HNI investors who subscribed to the PO for private placement - borrow internally to fund the acquisition. Then convert the debt to equity later on at a discount. - issue CP or BONDS to fund the acquisition. - come back to the market with a RI (after all the EGM has given approval for the fund raising).
Frankly speaking, the only thing that can save the SP from total decline are successful acquisition + verifiable commencement of milling operations...
