It ain't really expensive. That amount can be viewed as commitment fee towards the proposed acquisition... (See note 13.1) Redoil: what is the implication of this expensive statement by ella lake . A deposit of ₦1,500,000,000 placed in an Escrow account in connection with the proposed acquisition of Agro-Allied Resources & Processing Nigeria Limited remains outstanding. This deposit is included within Cash and Cash Equivalents and will be applied towards the acquisition consideration upon completion, or returned to the Company in the event the acquisition does not proceed (see Note 13.1 and Note 32). |

Verify the bolded again... ojeysky: No sunshade required, we are both saying the result is not bad so i don't think we disagree on that. I am also not saying it is a bad thing that CBN is mandating the banks to clean up, i am saying its not of good faith for access to claim they will pay knowing that CBN will not allow it. UBA didn't make declaration that they will pay dividend so i wasn't too surprised when they didn't. For access however, it was not about whether they will pay, it was how much they will pay. Anyway access remains my biggest holdings in banking sector just annoying how they play the game. It is well.

Don't add ₦15 like we won't notice... ogawisdom: Lol yes ooo waiting at sub 100 ogawisdom: Spot on, the supplies will soon hit Zenith Bank after qualification date. Bank offers are usually crazy you will see 45m offer vs 5m bid lol, It will settle below 90 say 85.
MTN is still stubborn refusing to go below 700, sentiment around MTN is very strong with many buyers waiting to take up every price dip.
Ucap touched 15.85 today and i scooped some, same stock ppl were fighting to buy above 18 before qualification date. |

Thank you Aj8. The bolded speaks to me personally... aj8: Congratulations Mankind2024. May your expressed ambition and many more not yet expressed, come to pass by His Grace. I just want to add a point or two to your very well-written reflection. Compounding is good, the 8th wonder of the world. But it doesn’t always need to be passive, it can be active or even aggressive. In trading, the phrase 'take profit off the table' exists for a reason: trends can reverse instantly when economic momentum shifts. While some markets recover quickly, others take decades. A stock falling from 100 to 4 might eventually return to 200, but only if time is on your side. While there are 'forever' stocks where I’m happy to stay in the passenger seat, I believe in remaining vigilant. If the fundamentals or prospects decline, I prefer to exit without sentiment and pivot to fresh opportunities with higher growth potential. Compounding continues but actively leaving only my failed attempts to run passively but still given fuel by prayers and hope.
Happy Workers Day
I can't thank you enough for those audiobooks you share from time to time. Thank you, sir. |

The CBN rule is the reason for no dividend for 2025 financial year. |
