Go for the position technical workshop personnel. Its their entry position.
Thanks man, but it has expired, besides the job specifications for the workshop assembly personel seemed more like a role best suited for mechanical n production engineers. Let's see how it goes, hopefully by next week Friday we would all know our status
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: FMC Technologies by Kasich(m): 11:59am On Oct 27, 2016
Nope, just Bachelor's, and I guess one cannot apply for two positions
guiddoti:
Do you have masters degree? Apply for technical workshop personnel

NB: you guys should pray, probably we first considered their former staff whom were laid off before considering new staff.

Osinitu:
I didn't read the details of all the positions advertised but from the few I perused, the least experience is 3 years. You should give it a trial anyways, impossible is nothing!!!!
OK thanks man, actually applied for installations engineer though, but am not too hopeful because of the experience stuff...

I was ruminating on this too, however I only applied for just one position to avoid disqualification, but there was no instruction regarding that.
Please is there any job there with one or two years experience in a field, cos I have searched and I didn't find any

.

I have applied. I submitted the application letter and the CV on the page or in one column and it was acknowledged by FMC Talent Recruit Team.

We will wait to be invited and pray to God for the best.

I heard they are paying well.
God help me.

Which role did you specifically apply for, because the least years of experience of all the jobs is 3 years... Seems they don't have entry level jobs

And here am I with diploma cert in theology, degree in divinity, diploma in computer appr. Well experienced in various field both in religion and other social sectors.

Above all I've always desired to be a chaplain with the NN. Are you saying I should give it up or go back to school because I have 2.2.

Do this people really think education in Nigeria today really is determine by your grades? People do practically anything to get the grades. Most people who got low grades in school are actually the ones who sturdy harder. Their only crime was they refuse to compromise and sort lecturers for higher grades.

I know a lot of people with lower grades doing better than those who have first class. This is just not fair.

this got me rolling on the floor... Like dude are you for real

That said, It is important to have contingency plans, just incase plan A doesn't work out, plan B should, also as well as C, D, E...
Don't be confined in one spot, aim for other goals and accomplishments, whatever you state here won't change their requirements and yes they have every right to specify whom they want for the job, you cannot change that for them.

And your earlier assertion that those with lower grades in school study harder is totally flawed, from guys with First Class to even guys with a Pass grade, they all work hard but get different results although there are still lazy ones among this rank who even excel more than those who study hard, these ones study in a smart way.

If you want to chase that dream of yours, then you have to go back and get atleast a 2:1, which to me is a waste of time and resources... Who dream of working for the military anyways... Lemme not dissuade you from your chosen path, but i feel they are better things unexplored yet...

my 2 cents though, what do i know sef

Sir if your mail was returned then it hasn't been sent, retry. Are you in engineering or related fields?
How do u mean by your statement
Sent my application and I got two messages in my inbox, one was just plain text, the other carried a text and an attachment.

Then I got two message on my spam box from notore, d content said its sending from a server that's not addressed from my mailbox. Almost all the guys I know got this same response

So clearly explain to us how you feel a successful submission should be like. So that one won't apply and be waiting in vain...

You can do that on your previous response to the guy you quoted, so that everyone can see it clearly.

Thanks, anyone that has an idea could also contribute too

Aba, Mister...if I give you a plagiarised speech, there is no way you will find out or let me say the chances of you finding out is less than 5%.
You are speaking this way because of your deep hatred for buhari
You are wrong bro, I don't hate my president, check my writeups on NL, I am impartial...

I just don't like the way he handles things, you guys may have gotten my message in the wrong context, all I am saying is that for a campaign as serious as "change begins with me", he should have showed a certain level of seriousness by settling down to review the program and then have a clear picture of the aim of the program, thereafter sit down with your media aids, writers n advisers to draft a speech befitting to such a campaign... But from all this it seems he didn't have time for d campaign, like they just sold the idea to him and he just adopted it hook line n sinker without inputting any original thoughts into it

I hope this elucidates my writeup now

Comprehension problem is what u are suffering from. Proof reading alone is not enough to detect plagiarism except u are very familiar with the work bin plagiarized. Who is talking abt Google or plagiarism software here... Obama himself might not even remember he made the exact speech... If u are so pained u can decide to go to court for Obama...

Thought i was the only one who saw that, this is no apology. He has even committed the greater crime of concieving deceit by committing another who could be innocent to take a fall for his blunders. This govt. Is a joke.
Bro I for nor just talk anything o, but na that package pain me pass... Why sack somebody for a mistake you obviously made

I mean just apologize and let the issue die. Why would you tell us you are investigating who added those lines to the speech, it just shows that you are irresponsible in the first instance because you could not employ the services of a well trained speech writer.

Upon all the SA, SSA and media aides he's still making silly mistakes up n down. Smh

Proof reading cannot detect plagiarism that's why there are specialised softwares for that.
You can read a text a hundred times and not know if it was plagiarised.

The government pays people to write speech, if they cannot do their jobs properly, they should be sanctioned.

Lol at the President should have gone through the speech with the writer....

You should also tell him to go through flight plans with his pilot or go through cooking plans with his cook to make sure the salt is not too much.

Eyah.... No wonder you cannot make a sound judgement, you feel everyone is as lazy as you are.. Other Presidents do it when they need to address the public.

Google it up n u see Obama, Putin and the like with their speech writers in a room brainstorming...

Please get a life and stop dragging this issue, a mistake has been made, efforts should be made also in order to forestall its reoccurrence, not by sacking the guy who drafted it, rather employ more hands that will work effectively

Is plagiarism a grammatical error that proof reading will make u detect? Do u expect them to know all Obama's speeches offhand. The only person that could have known it was plagiarized is someone that knows abt that particular Obama's speech....
as for you Mr. Defender...ignorance is not an excuse, you obviously do not know the consequences of plagiarism and it's legal implications because you have never published anything before In your life, not even an original Facebook post perhaps

With google alone you can check for plagiarism within a minute, the fact that you don't know this and you are unwilling to learn baffles me... Keep defending his mistakes hopefully some day you will see the light, but until then try to get an education, you'd thank me later

So in your mind, proof reading is a way to detect plagiarism abi?
Are you sure you know what plagiarism is?
in as much as I'd like to ignore you and your comments for lack of understanding and foresight, I'll enlighten you a little on this issue

When u proof read it doesn't necessarily means you are checking just only grammatical errors and language structure, rather it entails d act of checking for the overall soundness of your write up, does it make sense? Will my listeners and readers grasp the idea? Am I communicating? Is the content original? And lots and lots of other things are considered too

For a campaign of such social magnitude one would have gone through the speech with whoever wrote, thereafter if accepted, you ask your special advisers to check for plagiarism, which is even easy to to detect with advanced search through google.

Am not asking him to write his speeches, all am saying is that he could have avoided the whole drama if he had shown a little seriousness towards this ' Change begins with me' campaign.

The Federal Government has apologized to Nigerians for the plagiarism pointed out in the president’s speech at the just concluded “Change Begins with Me” campaign in Abuja,. Reacting to comments by Nigerians through the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Garba Shehu .

Mr Shehu responding to the allegation through his twitter handle @Garshehu .

“PMB has ordered that prompt & appropriate disciplinary action be taken against those responsible for a wrongful insertion in his speech delivered on September 8, 2016 at the launch of the “Change Begins with Me’’ campaign.”

“It was observed that the similarities between a paragraph in President Obama’s 2008 Victory Speech and what President Buhari read in paragraph 9 of the 16 paragraph address while inaugurating the Campaign on Thurs., Sept. 8, are too close to be passed as coincidence. There was a mistake by an overzealous staff and we regret that this has happened. Already, a Deputy Director in the Presidency has accepted responsibility for the insertion of the contentious paragraph.”

” This serious oversight will be investigated thoroughly and appropriate sanction meted. The Presidency wishes to state in the clearest possible terms that it regrets this unfortunate incident and will ensure that this does not happen again”

” President Buhari urges Nigerians to look beyond this incident and focus on the message of change which the country needs in order to restore our cherished value systems” he said .

OMG!!!

Must u keep blaming everyone for your ineptitude

How's this an apology Shifting the blame to an overzealous staff, why couldn't u just proof-read the material yourself or have Garba Shehu himself go through it before going on air

This is irresponsibility, cowardice, and stupidity. There are certain mistakes I am ashamed of making at this young age of mine one of which is shifting blame to others when I could have avoided d whole drama

I'd be ashamed to be Buhari's media aid personally, because the things he makes them do and say atimes makes you question their qualifications and crisis handling capacity

shinarambo1:
Canada lost a surprising 31,200 jobs in July due to a steep decline in full-time work, a worrying setback for a country grappling with the downturn in the energy sector.

The unexpected job losses sent the unemployment rate up to 6.9 per cent from 6.8 per cent in June, Statistics Canada said in its monthly labour report released on Friday.

“Another hit to an already struggling Canadian economy,” said Arlene Kish, senior economist with IHS Global Insight. “Canadians are wondering where the jobs are. Discouraged workers are leaving the labour force.”

Its not as if the voting process is efficient sef, why waste money doing the same excercise all the time, thought they had something like a database where all our details are, besides its not like we have close to 20 million teenagers who clock the age of 18 yearly, so how come this process is still expensive for Inec

Bro as long as you are focused, goal oriented and technically sound no company will train you for 18 months then register you for CnG and then throw you away after the training... That's unless the company lacks vision, which clearly ain't the case of NBC.

All I'll say is that you grow yourself in the technical aspects of the company's operations, and also try n get a project management certification and if possible u can start a part time masters degree or if its HND you've got you can go for your PGD, and don't let anyone fool you with the notion that there's no time for that, trust me there is if only u avail yourself the opportunity
