(CNN) — At least eight people were killed and scores injured when a crowd surged toward a stage at a Houston music festival on Friday night, squeezing audience members who had nowhere to escape, officials said.

About 50,000 people were at the sold-out outdoor Astroworld Festival at NRG Park -- the stadium complex where the Astrodome and the NRG Stadium stand -- when the incident happened just after 9 p.m. CT, officials said.

Video from the event showed the performer on stage -- rapper and event organizer Travis Scott -- pause and look on in confusion as an ambulance with flashing lights moved into the densely packed crowd.

"The crowd for whatever reason began to push and surge towards the front of the stage, which caused the people in the front to be compressed -- they were unable to escape that situation," Houston Fire Chief Sam Peña told CNN Saturday morning.

Very true, I will check out sites like trip advisor or Expedia. Countries in the carrebian would be your best bet in terms of getting visa once you have your hotel reservation and itinerary.

This was my first intention. if for nothing least see another side of the world before i relocate to heaven. lol. Also i think i need some breather after 40 years hustle. Thats why i want to know what countries are easier to visit or rather get a visa. What will a 30 -120 day trip cost? Though i would prefer the US cos if i like the place it will be much easier to stay.

Well my advice, if you can book a trip or vacation to the usa, Canada or any European country. Then do it. That experience in itself is something no oneone can take from you. You might meet a fellow vacationer and something might lead to another thing especially if you are sociable and can mingle well. There is always a possibility. Sometimes we just need to step outside our comfort zone.
