That's exactly what going on in GOT, the female characters now have double personality eg (having their female attribute and also male attribute in which the female are being made to be the powerful characters while their male folks now play a supporting role, in relation with into the Badlands which every body is saying Sunny fighting skills is tone down by the producers, other's is Sunny the unafraid warrior is now scared of pilgrim, I think that this is been done in away for the female know as the widow to take over from Sunny and become the unafraid to fight pilgrim.

Honestly, the reason Jon contributed little to Jamie's trial is that he never really cared... It wasnt about being a man or woman.. That's just Jon's personal character, to top it, he was disturbed. I'm sure dany would care less about Jamie if she had heard about Jon's heritage as well

Sometimes don't look at a person's reaction to something from the gender view, we do some things because of our personal character not because we're male or female.

If we're to honestly look at Jamie's trial scene, that trial was unnecessary, were they going to kill him if Brienne didn't testify for him.. It was just stupid.. That trial wasn't important.

The reviews here made me ignore the movie for so long and it was better than what was said about it here.

You check through the cast of a movie and see such a vast assemble of hardcore martial artists then sit down excepting to see a plot twist, suspense and the likes, for where?

So because the show is rated 18+ then that means only those over 18 will watch the show? Come on, look around you and you'll see lots of secondary school students who are obsessed with the show, bearing in mind that the average SS3 student is 16. Even on reddit there are tons of fans of the show who are under 18. By the way, keeping one's virginity isn't something that only under 18s do. There are many girls that believe that their virginity should be protected until marriage or at least till they meet a partner who they are sure to spend the rest of their lives with. And I'm not for or against virginity, I'm just pointing out how movies influence people's behavior.

The people who were inspired to try out the Russian Roulette weren't kids. They were grown men. There have been a lots of other cases. For instance the movie Deep Throat was key in modifying people's views towards watching pornography. It's a statistical fact that the consumption of pornography spiked after the movie was released.

I'm not asking you to strain your brain to identify themes in movies and books. Actually if your brain needs straining in other to identify easily recognizable themes, then maybe you lack the kind of intelligence or knowledge needed to spot these themes, and I'd advice you stick to consuming movies and books just for entertainment purposes. I read Animal farm for the first time when I was 10. It was all just entertainment for me because I didn't have the knowledge to recognize it's underlying message. But when I read about 20th century communism and how dangerous the ideology was, the message of Animal Farm became VERY EASY to recognize.

I mean go on Goodreads and see intelligent people giving review on books. Hardly would you find anyone who just reviews a book based on it's entertainment value. Same thing on the Reddit sub dedicated to books. Smart, knowledgeable people care more about the materials they consume than just how it entertains them. This is actually what separates average writers from good writers. The reason Chimamanda is so successful owes a lot to how well she explores culturally relevant themes. If I met someone who when I asked what they thought about Chimamanda's Americanah and all they said was that it was very entertaining, I wouldn't have a high opinion of such person.

What lots of people do not realise is that after the character Arya lost her virginity, thousands of young girls who have idolized Arya since the beginning of the show will also be eager to lose theirs in similar manner. It's basic human psychology. Humans tend to imitate the actions of people they admire and since the brains of humans can't really differentiate between a character and the actor playing the role this makes it even more likely. Hence why I'm skeptical of the intentions of the writers for including that scene and directing it the way they did.

I find it funny how people say: Just watch the show for entertainment and stop pointing out stupid shit. These people don't have an iota of an idea about how movies and shows shape human behavior, especially that of young people. This isn't even debatable. It's a known fact in the fields of psychology and social science. And there have been few examples in recent times. In the movie The Program, there was a scene where a character was lying down on a yellow line in the middle of the road while cars drove past him at the sides. It served as a test of bravery. Then other characters joined him. After the movie was released there were cases of people dying and getting injured because they were trying to imitate what they saw the characters do in the movie. There is also the example of how the movie Deer Hunter inspired lots of people to play the deadly game of Russian Roulette because characters in the movie played the game.

Saying a movie is to be watched just for the entertainment value is just like saying a book should be read just for entertainment. I mean, that's what you'd expect a child to say, but an adult? Really? So a person should read Animal Farm just for entertainment and ignore the fact that the book was highlighting the flaws of the communist ideology? Similarly, so I should just watch GOT solely for entertainment purposes and ignore its glaring themes?

Give me a break!
